Wellwellwell,

Welcome to Huddle West. Tons of us out here on the west coast and southwest on this forum. What part of California you at now? Northern and Monstsa can guide you through some great beer knowledge. Southern and I could throw out some great tips. If you live in Bakersfield, may god have mercy on your soul,

First of all, WellWellWell I too enjoy the Panther Bandwagon and have been onboard 20+ years.

Secondly if you want a kick ass beer.  Go to the Philippines and have a Red Horse.   Smooth beer and has a helleva kick to it.

I was there in March for about 2 1/2 weeks.  Did two (roughly 20oz bottles) in about 45 minutes with a San Miguel to follow (3 in an hour) and I was not feeling any pain.

(in before all the lightweight jokes)  I woke overseas in Kuwait which is a dry country so I hadn't had drink in about 9 months so my tolerance was a bit low.   That said.   You drink a couple Red Horse's you'll know you are drinking a potent beer.

I have been around the world and sampled some good beer.  Red Horse is my favorite.

Hmmm, I'd love to try that.  I'm no heavyweight myself I've been cutting back a bit lately.  Drinking more scotch than beer nowadays but I still like to dabble.

Youre probably Bwood but much love bro. Your not alone, there was a time when this team was the only good in my life.

Nah, I'm new here.  But thanks man.

I'm in the Pasadena area.  I've been down to Stone Brewery a couple times and loved it down there.  One of my friends also introduced me to Moose Drool which I love.  Downtown Brown is cool too.  I usually frequent bars in DTLA or in Old Town Pas.  I have a wide palate so I can appreciate alot of stuff taste-wise.

We have a good crew of Panthers fan out here in Colorado.

LOVE MY PANTHERS !! Wooooooooo

We even have a BBQ / Carolina Bar in downtown Denver. They hang a massive Panthers banner all season

I need the name of this bar. And possibly an open tab.

Love the mellow mood of this thread....  seems  that everybody is in a feel-good mood (sipping a glass of wine....  yes I like wine.... and beer .....  and rum (in coke)... and whiskey (with or without coke, but NEVER on the rocks)... and port (but as it enhances my mood tremendously, I have to be careful with that).  Everything in moderation these days though, the wild years are behind me (unless we go SB and then things might change :))

Ill take a winecooler on the rocks

The only thing the wife will drink is Bartles and James Wild Berry Coolers'. Well that and as a chaser to her Cuervo Gold. Or any good Mexican Tequila really. Where it comes to her tequila, she is a snob. Been trying for over 20 years to find something besides Cuervo to drink. She turned Monopoly into a drinking game. We can finish a fifth while we play. Really started doing so when we quit go to bars and parties. No drinking and driving. And neither one of us want to be the driver. She cheats.

Me? Give me a good bourbon, and a ice cold beer, and I'm good to go. I keep a cooler in my car. If I am going to be drinking beer. I want my cooler for iced beer. Even goofy Japanese beer taste better when it's ice cold. Snob? Maybe. I prefer to think of it as spoiled.

    • Not many are talking about this player. He played well as a rookie last year. If he refines his blocking, continues studying film, and keeps working hard, I can see him being the next Greg Olsen. I’m expecting 55 catches, 700 yards, 4 TDs this season.
    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
