Is this thread real? I can tell this is a bunch of Carolina Panther fans that are late comers to the Canes. The only reason we even made it this far this year is the coaching. We have 30 million in cap, two 1st round picks this coming year and just went to the ECF for the 3rd time in 7 years as a small market franchise. We also have Jarvis, Aho, Svech, and Slavin long term. We are in a fantastic position and overachieved in a "rebuilding" year. Canes just need to keep injecting talent and we will breakthrough. I wish the Carolina Panthers made it in the NFC Championship game in a rebuilding year with two first rounders and the most cap room in the NFL in the upcoming year.

RUMOR: Panthers possibly making an addition in the secondary
CRA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
this is still a David Tepper team. Which means, we are always yet never rebuilding. It's like signing Gilmore a couple years back. We need to be developing players, not renting win now guys when we aren't a win now team. -
What could that unknown information possibly be? The theory most Panthers fans may rush to might involve three-time All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who is seemingly on the outs with the Miami Dolphins. Ramsey appears likely to be traded in the coming weeks, and raised some eyebrows with his recent praise of Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero. Or perhaps Bates was thinking about another kind of defensive back. The Panthers should still be in the market for a starting safety, and have already met with free agents Julian Blackmon and Marcus Williams earlier this spring. Or, maybe it's not even a big move at all. Only Bates, and obviously a select few, would know. But whatever that information is, we may be very close to finding it out. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/29/panthers-nfl-rumors-daren-bates-jalen-ramsey-dolphins/83924733007/?taid=6838ada5733f4c0001828c7d&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter

Hornets Screwed in NBA Draft Lottey...Again
TheMaulClaw replied to chknwing's topic in Charlotte Hornets
The Hurricanes also have been great with analytics, and lets be honest, it's also coaching. Development of draft picks is vital. The Hornets have had plenty of high picks, and they either miss or don't develop them properly. Compare the ability of how each the Hornets and Canes develop. It's night and day. The problem with the Hornets has always been at the top, not because of a NBA conspiracy (which may also be true.) I'm just saying that smart teams find a way to eventually be competitive regardless of draft status. Look at the Pacers, great example of a similar market that is consistently pretty competitive. The difference is we select the MKGs and Adam Morrisons of the world. -
Everyone making excuses when the 2023-24 team had the talent to go all the way and the same results happened. What are we supposed to do? Bring in more superstars who dont fit Rod's system because of the fact that they are superstars? The amount of copium is beyond normal levels.

Let's not forget that Blake, Morrow, Nikishin and Stankoven are RFA after next season. So probably going to keep 8-10m free, giving 18m to spend.

RUMOR: Panthers possibly making an addition in the secondary
Seltzer replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Evero mentioned Jalen Ramsey's name again in his presser yesterday... There is enough smoke here to at least entertain it. Evero unprompted brought his name up twice in recent weeks on record. I think we are 100% adding a secondary player, and while I still think adding Ramsey is more unlikely than not, an addition is coming and I wouldn't be surprised if it is Ramsey. -

Official 2025 NHL Playoffs Thread

I got 1 dollar on it. -
The Canes were definitely shook as soon as game 1 started going south. I think Niko Mikkola coming back for Game 5 was big for Florida. That guy was a force all series. They definitely missed him in Game 4.

The off season should be eventful, it was painfully obvious we need a 2C and a 1RHD The Canes have cap room and draft capital id be on the lookout for not just free agent signings but also trade moves..... Im actually leaning towards them addressing more via trade in the off season than free agency.
