  1. Past hour
  2. I don't get hangovers, mostly because getting drunk is a chore. My beach routine is a bloody mary @ 11, beers til 4, Don Julio/rocks the rest of the night. Nada, zip, zilch... nothing.
  3. There's that plus the whole dual citizen Israel flag waver deal. That would be a problem at UNC. That's the off the court stuff, then there's just the pure business of it all. He has a good thing going at Florida. He won a natty last year and had them in a #1 seed this year. You'd probably have to make him the highest paid coach in college basketball for him to even consider it. On top of that contract, you'd also have his $18M buyout. When you out it all together, I honestly think Golden is a very long shot to be the next Tar Heels basketball coach. There's the Tribeca of issues to overcome - off the court, the pure business of the $$$, and luring him away from an already good situation where he's proven he can compete for championships in his current environment.
  4. 4th is early--5th maybe? It depends on the run of QBs on day 3--there usually is one. However, he could drop lower. I think it is a given that the Panthers like him, so if anyone else does, it could improve his stock. 1 month away--I am taking Friday (April 24) off work. They'll understand.
  5. He definitely has a lot of traits you would like to see out of a LB. Love his sideline to sideline movement and has the ability to be a great coverage LB if developed correctly. Still worried that he will get bullied in the run game though.
  6. Sure, inner division. But I never thought of signing one year players to match up to the remaining schedule better.
  7. Tight end is this unique position where it’s not generally considered a premium position but it’s also not really something you can just go out and buy great play at. Great tight ends virtually never go anywhere. If you want a good one you have to draft him, and more and more lately, you have to take him in the 1st. I don’t need a guy to be ready from his first time stepping on the field as a rookie, that’s an unrealistic expectation-I’d like to have a place for him to step in and play though. Sadiq would have a defined role from the first practice and would open up the offense as a whole simply by being here. but in any case I get the impression that the team doesn’t feel he’s going to be there which jives with kind of how I’m feeling.
  8. I'm one of those who are falling for Rodriguez. If he's there at 51 I hope the hell we snatch him up.
  9. If you want Rodriguez you gonna have to take him in the first round and i honestly wouldn't be entirely against it. Especially in a trade down scenario.
  10. Etienne didn't really return punts in college. He did return kickoffs though. Those are very different jobs. Hard to ask a guy to learn a new position in the pros. Kind of like moving a guy to OT when he played DT in college. And then starting him as a rookie.
  11. Huddle would lose their collective ish. You're giving BY too much!
  12. Hell, I'll take a guy that actually looks like he has returned a ball before in his life and doesn't muff the punt every 4 punts... Etienne looks like a walking disaster every time he is back there to return punts
  13. Agree with this. Any linemen drafted won't start this season. Heck it took Derrick Brown 3 years to figure it out. ILB, FS, Nickel on defense. WR, TE on offense. Those are the only positions that could realistically start day one. Though TE is also a position that generally takes time to learn, as you're an olineman and a receiver. You have to learn complex blocking schemes and then the route tree/hot routes/chemistry with your QB.
  14. Today
  15. I love the idea posited here that we need to take a defensive player so as not make Bryce look good like lol-if we draft a plug and play defensive star who helps this team return to the playoffs-guess what? bryce young is getting a contract extension these people need to just show their hand, admit they’re obsessively consumed with it and nothing else, and demand the team has a firesale and begins rebuilding.
  16. Post Banks reaggravating his foot I think Woods is the only DT with a real shot to go at 19. I’m a little worried about him on the outside but he’ll be fine in nickel. there’s overlap with Wharton though and it makes me think they probably don’t go that direction. they just spent a lot of money in free agency, it would seem odd to go out and draft a player that won’t be starting in his first season. I think they want an OT and DT and would take one they loved…but I really do think they want someone more plug and play.
  17. Have to stop making everything about BY. They will and have been bringing in players to improve the TEAM, not just Bryce Young. Which is something they should have done BEFORE bringing in a rookie QB. Even Metchie is a generally good pickup at a position of need. He just happens to have played with BY in college. And that doesn't hurt his chances or the team's. Morgan just addressed the biggest areas of need on the team via free agency so they won't be reaching for a position of need in the draft. He's legit picking the best player available for the TEAM in the draft. The o-line was in shambles in 2023. He addressed it in 2024. The d-line was in shambles in 2024. He addressed it in 2025. The pass rush and linebackers were in shambles in 2025. He's addressed it in 2026. Unfortunately good young WRs don't hit the FA market, so can't just throw money at them. You have to draft them. I wonder what some would be saying if they'd spent the amount of cap on the offense that they spent on the defense in 2025 and 2026 - and then used both first round draft picks on defense. Would that have been better in your eyes? No. You would be complaining that the defense is too young to compete and more vets weren't brought in because they're trying to prop up BY. This team should be talented enough now to make some noise in the South. If BY is actually holding them back, then QB will be addressed in 2027. They benched him 2 games into their tenure and you think they're tied to his success. No. That doesn't compute. They're tied to the team's success. BY could throw for 5000 yards and if they're 4 - 13, head's will roll. TLDR: Their decisions aren't driven by making BY look good. They're trying to improve the team and win games. Period.
  18. I still firmly believe that Tepper still has his mandate of make Bryce work or get fired and because of that, it doesn't matter how badly he does... He'll get a long term deal in the 40-50m range and set back this franchise for a decade. Then the Teppers will have another QB infatuation and maybe they get it right then.
  19. Any chance Corey Thornton gets back fully healthy and nickel corner isn’t a need ?
  20. Upgrade him by a country mile by drafting Rodriguez
  21. He's not going to get fired, if anything happens and it's mostly a certainity at this point, he will be allowed to resign or move into a different role with the program.
  22. Don't think it hurts that much. IMO, not much of a dropoff from somebody like Gipson compared to Rozeboom. Regardless, I still think we are looking at an ILB in the first 3 rounds. There are quite a few interesting prospects between Rodriguez, Golday, and Hill Jr. that would be good 2nd round picks if they make it to us (Rodriguez might be a stretch since it seems like teams are falling in love with him). Kyle Louis and Lawson are worth a look also in the 3rd
