  1. Past hour
  2. Very solid draft. Could have gone flashy in the first couple rounds but chose to hit positions of need with two solid picks. Fifth round obviously was huge. I’ll say A-/B+. You’ll have a hard time finding 10 drafts better than ours.
  3. So much bup, bup, bup and big men allow you to compete in this draft. Bring back the Gettleman soundboard please.
  4. If I'm not mistaken every TE prospect except Joly were taken before our selection.
  5. Beyond the 50, deep ball interception, same as a punt. Maybe better than a punt, if there’s no interception return. Not a bad strategy once a game.
  6. I will stand by my opinion that we didnt need to go WR at all this draft. Keep playing XL, keep developing horn. I dont think Braz is going to move the needle at all this season. That TE from Ohio St would have been an interesting pick. As would Joly
  7. Yup. Much better options at WR still were on the board. I think they were going for his height as a RZ target since we missed out on a TE.
  8. Plus, Kuwatch continues the proud Panther tradition of handsome linebackers. Seriously though, a lot of upside for a 7th rounder.
  9. I think he has finally become that 2C needed. Dude is the leader in the club house for the Conn Smythe… plays like he is 6’5. Scoring leader. Wins in the dot. Stanky is the man
  10. Thanks--I would call Isaiah smith an Edge (the others are 3/4 DEs -- wide DTs) but he is listed as a DE. Meiga is a WR--who played at Coastal. (Like Canadians have never come down to Myrtle beach before?--go in april--the place is crawling with them)
  11. Lining up beside Brown is going to let this dude wreck fools, I like this pick more than getting a safety or LB in the 2nd. Hunter is going to make the dline better just by taking up space
  12. I used to work for the Capital Newspaper in Annapolis a long time ago. Spent a lot of time at the Naval Academy doing stories for the paper.
  13. Solid solid B Not a sexy draft but a fundamentally sound draft that this franchise needed. Only pick that I am dubious of is the brazzel pick, just seems like a one trick pony from a disney offense. Kindof wish we went LB there. Also wish we could have gotten at least one more olineman somewhere but you cant fix everything at once. Overall on paper mulitple players should contribute in the upcoming years.
  14. I don't really know what I'm talking about but watching Haynes highlights: obviously an elite runner, but also looks like he has good feet in the pocket and plenty of arm strength. Threw a 50 yard dime in one clip. That play is unavailable with current limitations.
  15. Today
  16. In large part because there's probably no one offering anything of value. If the only thing you can get in return is a conditional late rounder or something of that nature then yeah, we're probably better off just bringing him in for another camp and see if he put in the work to improve this offseason.
  17. Most of the time it come down to scheme fit. He fits EE's system perfectly and we were lucky he fell to us.
  18. We still could use a backup RT and fringe starter TE. Make the trade!
  19. Trade him. Trying to find him reps on game days will be pointless. Why have a former first rounder sit on the bench? I would even take a future day 3 pick or player-for-player swap. We just drafted his clone. I thought if we went WR, it would be for a pure slot guy. The fact that we went out and drafted a player in what we thought we had in XL is very telling.
  20. Still can’t figure out how he fell to round 5 aside from it just being a loaded safety class.
  21. Good luck to him. Hope to see him out there breaking up passes and causing problems for offenses. Welcome aboard man, we need ya.
