I would have made that deal. I know they play different positions, but Parsons would have got us more sacks in one season than DB has in his entire career. I think Brown is a good player, not a great one. I know that opinion isn't popular around here. But ask any team in the NFL who makes more of an impact on the field week in and week out...DB or Parsons? I over 2/3 of the teams would have picked the latter.

That's the main deal, this is one of the winnable games on the schedule. Yes there's no such thing as a "must-win" week one, just if the Panthers lose it will take until week 6 to correct this. Jags have a new staff, weak roster/team, and terrible QB. Most NFL games are close and it is on the road, it could come down to if the Fitz can kick the game winner or not. Panthers for the first time in what 6 years will have the same HC, GM, and QB. They have the same 9 OLmen as last year. Added 3 improved DLmen. Panthers should be able to control each line and thus with decent luck/play calling should be able to win this without me using heart meds.........

Saying this game is a must win, is setting yourself up to be disappointed. First game of the season, on the road. Nothing about this game with how preseason has gone, says this is going to be an easy game. With that all being said, they do need to win this game.

I think you will see Travis Hunter more on offense than defense this season .Liam Coen seems to be really impressed w/ TH as a WR moreso than a CB you kind of have to pick one side or the other. if you play him both ways it will lead to fatigue & higher risks of injury. & it's not going to be easy to defend Brian Thomas Jr. & Travis Hunter at the same time on offense.if so , it's going to take a really good secondary to keep those two from scoring ...just saying

Parsons to Carolina made no sense if we were going to try and give him what he wanted. If it was 2 1sts, DB, and that contract, there was no feasible was to build around him in the next 4 years, especially with Bryce still lacking a full season of productivity. GB has their QB. We aren't certain yet, though the end of last season was reason for optimism. Parsons is an elite talent, but unfortunately we're not in the position to make that type of move for him. That's a put you over the top SB window run type move.

Sorry. Maybe im unrealistic. But I dont make guys with injuries my luxury people. Too high risk. All players deal with some injuries, but for top dollar at a position? On anything other than a 1-2 year deal? No way. Im more cautious than most though, as evidenced by my continued (and annoying i know) griping about our 2nd round RB thats injured.
