  1. Past hour
  2. or, and hear me out, maybe he's not in fact a QB whisperer
  3. Depends because these guys can do substantial damage to their profession careers vs you and me just moving elsewhere in our professions. The pool of NFL employees is pretty small vs other industries. Doesn't make sense to me for young guys like DC even with the cash in hand philosophy being always relevant. It gets guys who are dumb and don't know better or guys who know they aren't likely to get many chances IMO. Neither being good options
  4. It does. Had we traded Burns and Moore for 3 1sts and a 2nd when we traded CMC, we likely don’t finish as well and maybe we don’t have to give up the farm for Young or maybe we luck into Stroud dropping. See my post earlier where me just missed out on a lot of talent because we had 5 wins, not 4 wins.
  5. I would take too many words to say that. That’s about how I read it. As to that option year, if they were going to trade him, wouldn’t it be desirable to have him controlled for 2026 and ‘27? That would be the only reason I could not go into a canniption fit over it. I hope Canales is doing his whisperer thing with Hooker because they way people are complaining he won’t get a chance to work with anyone decent.
  6. Did you read anything in my post? My point is that sometimes (to us in particular), one additional win knocked us out of the spot where game changers were drafting. No offense, but getting Herbert over Brown and Parsons, Karlaftis and Porter Jr over Horn is franchise changing. There is a difference in picking 1st to 3rd versus 8th to 10th. As much as you want to deflect, it gets you better players and huge trade offers instead of having to trade the world for Young since you’ve got pick 9.
  7. Yeah right now his defense is ranked worse than Evero’s.
  8. Don't you just hate when that happens?
  9. Panthers fans in season 8 of Tepper's tenure
  10. Its nothing we haven't said on here already. AI probably put that article together from quotes on this board over the past couple of weeks alone.
  11. Yeah, you can't turn a 180 degree. But instead of saying "C'mon guys, you're pros!" Dave has to find a different messaging style that demonstrates urgency.
  12. Bet these ***** were wanking all over him during the Draft process. He is who I thought he was. He was never, ever going to succeed in the NFL. I was absolutely livid when we drafted him.
  13. I'm not good enough at Xs and Os to be honest. But I say that Dave isn't serving Bryce because we saw what happened last year after the benching. They had an entire offseason to put their heads together to create, modify, improve everything that worked last year. When things aren't working in games, they should be fixing them during the week. Again, I'm not a how football plays work kind of person. But I have to strategize, solve problems, deal with high pressure parents, kids, and overbearing administrators while delivering high quality results. No, I'm not a pro athlete, nor coach a sports team, nor am I as handsome as I want to be. But looking at this from a problem solving situation, I'm at a loss.
  14. No he couldn't - he'd even struggle in that 49ers O from a couple of years ago (before the superstars left). His physical limitations are ridiculous.
  15. oof But the 2025 reviews are not favorable, according to a coach, an executive and a scout who have studied Young’s performances this season. He has been downright “awful” at some points during the Panthers’ 1-3 start, according to one evaluator who was granted anonymity so he could speak openly about another team’s player. He’s looked uncomfortable in the pocket, struggled to see the field, lacked anticipation and failed to be consistently accurate. “I don’t think he’s the guy,” another evaluator said.
  16. He's already shown he's a nice guy, I don't think it will work for him to become ruthless at this point. The players will see right through it. You can start out a hard ass then let up a little but not the other way around. lol
  17. The entire offense is fugged up. It doesn't help we have a sieve for a defense that can barely stop teams that aren't from Atlanta. Bryce came out with physical limitations. The play calling and design isn't helping him. Dave wants an offense that doesn't work for Bryce. In another thread, I said Bryce could probably do well in a Shanahan style WCO with a lot of movement and horizontal routes. We were all sold the bill of good that Bryce was the outlier and he would play bigger and better. We didn't see that his rookie year. We didn't see it until he was benched. Now we're back to an uncomfortable QB who is indecisive and can't play with anticipation. Not a great combo. I'm still in the camp of let Bryce suck, keep the team rolling to a top 10 pick and take another shot at the dart board of QB picks. I'm OK (for now) letting Dave Canales pick his own QB and see what he can do. If we have another 20 games of the poo, then we just start over again.
  18. it's always the ones you don't expect five years from now we're going to be reading stunned reactions from Adam Thielen. "I just thought he liked to collect children's shoes. Yeah it was weird but everyone has hobbies, ya know?"
  19. That's why it's guys who don't have equivalent opportunities elsewhere. I mean, if someone offers me a fat ass paycheck with a guaranteed contract to take a job I'm not qualified for I'm gonna take it and be a whipping boy for awhile with a poo eating grin on my face and move on relieved when they fire me.
  20. Why does our local paper not print something like this? We have to get a NY org to put the truth in writing?
