  2. We had the 29th ranked O last year. 29th ranked offenses need defenses to flat out win games for them. and virtually ALL the investment went into that O while virtually intentionally letting the D slide.
  3. Well they do preface it by saying "there is some projection here." He is saying he believes WR will be the strength. I definitely disagree and think it will again be the OL and likely RB's but I wouldn't be so quick to say "doesn't watch the team" as much as maybe has a rosier view of the WR corps. Or maybe just doesn't have as high of an opinion of the OL as we do. It's an interesting take, to be sure. There are several here that have voiced that "WR corps is a strength" view.
  4. Offensive line is the biggest strength currently followed by RB. Obviously doesn’t watch this team
  5. This team/franchise is being constructed the right way. We are drafting smart/tough guys and things are moving in the right direction. I wonder if Ball and Miller will be able to lead, though?
  6. I mean, if you spent the farm on Bryce Young and believed in him....Ladd makes way more sense than XL and an aging out AT shouldn't prohibit you from building a future that makes sense IMO. Ladd basically gets a year of mentoring from AT (not that he needed it)....and then you don't have to overpay AT to take up space in the slot because you got nothing else proven.

  9. On paper and previous performance, this line is very strong. Not perfect but it shouldn't be a concern for a QB. There is a stronger case for concern related to his weapons than his protection but this offense is built for a QB to be successful and it is up to Bryce at this point. Cautiously optimistic based on the end of last season but time will tell.
  10. I'm soo excited we are getting closer to the season starting!! I hope the Rookies do well today
  11. Part of it is him, part of it is him being on the Titans. We would be in the same boat but ESPN loves Alabama stars.
  12. God I hope not. Went through enough of that with Rhule. If worse comes to worse we will be in position to draft a QB.
  13. I wish it was different, but really, it's all in his own hands now. If he can come back and be that guy he was at the end of last season then we are looking at something long-term and grand. If not... then it is back to the draft, again. Unless Canales has another reclamation project waiting in the wings. Personally, I believe in what I saw. I think he can certainly do it. I want to see him succeed at the highest level possible.
  14. He’s a backup. Most teams are cooked if their starter went down for more than a couple games
  15. Bryce needs to prove without a shadow of doubt that he's our franchise QB this year. He has the talent on that side of the ball to prove it.
  16. It's only summer league. But you gotta start somewhere. I'm just glad to see the culture of the franchise finally beginning to shift.
  17. I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell. Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid. I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either. I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went. I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year. Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one. It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.” I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is. I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
  18. Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
  19. Nice turnaround for Kon. I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL. Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him. He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad. I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league. Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference. Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense. This was such a breath of fresh air. And look at us! We finally are champions!
  20. Kinda sad that this is their greatest accomplishment; yet I was happy for them and the organization. Hopefully the injury bug stays away this season.
  21. Kon with the championship game MVP award.
  22. Despite how they finished proud of them for pulling the win out!
  23. If Bryce plays like he played the second half of the season, he'll have a good season. If he takes the next step and is more consistent, then he'll have a really good season. If the o-line and receivers step up too, this season will be epic for him. YAC and a legit deep threat is still needed. Hopefully these 2nd year guys and rookies at WR and TE are as good as advertised. He can't play defense. But he also can't catch for his receivers, or make them better in the open field after the catch.
