  1. Past hour
  2. Expect to see Icky extended to cover this deal and give him time to recover. Makes sense now, given that this is a 1 year deal.
  3. The Panthers front office has done a magnificent job with both the process and execution of their free agency plan. Every move has felt intentional, disciplined, and focused on building a stronger roster without sacrificing the future
  4. Very relieved. And one year… at that price? And got Lloyd at under the predicted rate too. Good going. This is the best option we had. By far. Short of a trade or a trade up in the draft. Neither of which I would have been real happy with but we were in a bad spot. I don’t think he is quite on Icky’s level but he was the best way to go. I am surprised he took a 1 year deal. I probably would have preferred three year but we can develop someone this year. All in all, this is the best case scenario. Thank you Dan.
  5. Him and his agent weren't going to get the money they were asking, so the best option at that point is a short, prove in contract, that he can show the league he is worth a better long term contract. That is a win win for both camps.
  6. Im dead serious, but right now, for realistic options I’d take Freeling then Proctor if available at 19 as the guys I want. But he absolutely needs to play at least 20 pounds less than he did at Bama. Scourton lost that much, it’s not an indictment and teams will want that.
  7. I'll back Derrick Brown in that match-up.
  8. Agreed. Also agreed. There are two huge mountains of black on one side and white on the other in the legal system. Then there is the even bigger ravine of grey river between them. Way easier to pontoon boat through the grey than scale the black or white.
  9. He's talking mad poo on Twitter for a guy that disappeared down the stretch. Not to mention that abortion of a fumble against the Bucs.
  10. Rasheed Walker CARTackle#63 Panthers signed LT Rasheed Walker, formerly of the Packers, to a one-year, $10 million contract. This is a great deal for the Panthers. Walker, a former seventh-round pick with the Packers, made just over $6 million on his rookie contract. This is a decent pay bump for him. Among NFL tackles with at least 490 left tackle snaps, Walker’s 69.3 PFF pass-blocking grade ranks 21st. The Panthers lost starter LT Ikem Ekwonu to a patellar tendon rupture during their Wild Card Round loss to the Rams last year. While he is undoubtedly rehabbing the injury rigorously, signing Walker gives them a reliable, if non-elite, starter for as long as they need one in 2026
  11. Agreed. Unless a DE is a Julius Peppers type, it takes a couple of years to really develope. I am hoping we can get one to go with Prince and Scourton. Or another Interior Dlineman might work as well.
  12. Great work Dan. This is the first time in a long time heading into day 1 of the draft that I don’t care which way we go.
  13. I don't think it's about Bryce's ego. I think it's about Tepper's. Bryce was Tepper's draft pick. Everything that's been done has been to protect the image. New HC with a shiny contract fired after he loses interest immediately after he supposedly drafted his guy. He can't make an offense for him because he's the QB that fits his style of offense. Bryce's rookie season is one of the worst in history. It was obvious he wasn't ready. He was named starter without any real camp competition. No real preseason reps. Coach keeps playing him despite terrible play. A new coach and GM are hired on the condition that Bryce is the guy. No searching for a new QB. It's Bryce or else. Bryce is benched year 2 for multiple games, replaced by Dalton who stunk it up proving he's washed up, then Bryce comes back in after Dalton injures his thumb and finishes the season. Dalton's contract is up, plenty of younger, higher upside FAs available. Dalton is brought back 2 years guaranteed as a "mentor". Jack Plummer, so bad in 24', brought back to camp in 25' and lo and behold, he's still terrible and has no business being on a field. Other QBs brought in, the most recognizable being Hooker. All those brought in so bad even the PS can't hold them. And now, after 3 years of bottom tier QB performance, with Dan saying we need to improve our QB room, we bring in a QB that's not passed for over 2500 yards in either of his 2 seasons as a starter, before he's benched and sent to the life of being a backup. The common denominator in all of this is there's never been any real competition here, even when it was justified. After last year, it's debatable if he's starting QB material. Good moments and horrific moments. From one minute to the next, you don't know what you're gonna get. So if you ask yourself why some of us feel bringing in KP is a joke, it's because it looks how it's always looked. That everything being done is to prove that David Tepper was right when he made the choice to draft Bryce and everything done since has been to protect that decision. Bringing in another QB with even the potential to challenge Bryce was always out of the question.
  14. Is it 300 bucks or 100 dollars and you get 200 "fun bucks"?
  15. That’s how my aunt be hovering over the deviled eggs.
  16. I hope 2027 me is pissed at 2026 me for hating how badly we overpaid for this guy.
  17. I hope it’s DL/Edge. I’m biased towards that LoS but if we can beef up our Dline and add a talented rookie who can win 1vs1 on top of the Phillips signing…oh baby.
  18. Wow, so we’ve now filled our 3 biggest roster holes with legitimate impact players. And while everyone says this is now making the draft a true BPA pick now, I think it actually significantly increases the chances we trade back. If we can pick up a future 1st to move back in the 1st this year, or even into the top of the 2nd round, then I’d be all for it. Filling these 3 holes, it actually makes it more difficult for us to find a week 1 starter in the 1st, so trading back could make a ton of sense.
