  1. Past hour
  2. Next thing you know, he'll be giving marriage advice......
  3. Oh, is that the long haired fellow on our team who couldn't tackle a cold?
  4. 89 has turned into a clown. Hit folks with the if you didn't play above HS level ball you really shouldn't talk about NFL players sucking lol. yeah, Steve,we will. I bet if your insurance agent sucks butt at his job....you are going to comment on it without having your insurance license. I don't need to of played in the NFL to know XL isn't even meeting HS level expectations....walking back to the line in a hurry up. I have known my share of NFL folks over the years. They aren't all super humans w/ advanced football IQ brains. Some are just insane athletes. It's why the NFL career is so short. and don't get me started on the good ole boys club of coaching. Just like everywhere else, lots of bad folks are working in the NFL because of who they know....just like literally every other profession on the globe.
  5. Yeah, Smitty is talking as an announcer. Would Smitty have said that if he was playing on the same team as XL and watched XL kill a drive because he couldn’t drag his toe on the third step? I don’t think so.
  6. Smith was a great player in the NFL but his opinions can be very hit or miss. It’s hard to defend XL’s numbers especially when our other first round pick is getting heavier coverage which should free him up. Effort shows on film and you can’t deny that he has had lackluster blocking, route running, and most importantly RESULTS.
  7. At least spell the man's name correctly.
  8. He didn't have any complaints back when he was playing on an NFC championship team.
  9. He needs to actually watch him play. It's year 2 and they had to spend a top 10 pick on a guy who he could have been. Put up or STUF
  10. There’s a weird thing that goes on in here over some of our backups. BC, Mays and Zavala are OK backups but they are starter level players. BC got nothing in FA and cam back to us. Our team talent level is at the bottom of the league. We certainly don’t have 8 NFL starter level OL on our team. Having to play Mays and Zavala/BC is not a good thing for us.
  11. Man, we’ve had some really really good LBs play for this organization. The guy we have as our team architect was one of those really good LBs. It’s sad to see how far we’ve fallen with that position. It’s never been like this smh
  12. I was listening to SS on The Kyle Bailey Show yesterday, and he went off on Charlotte fans for them being down on XL and the team in general. Called Charlotte a “weak ass” city. I kind of get his POV as he saw it personally as a player, but damn, the fans can only handle so much losing. And yes, I am aware of my username, but I do actually like Charlotte fwiw He speaks on it around the 8 minute mark.
  13. Exactly. Elite QBs can get dropped on to any team and instantly make them contenders. Josh Allen with Tet, Coker and Chuba and last year’s o line? Imagine a QB who could throw a dart 35 yard to those guys. Gives the defense a rest and this team would be at worst .500 this season with legit playoff aspirations for next season.
  14. What do you make of CJ having a lower QBR currently than Bryce while also sitting at 0-2. That’s the guy you wanted right?
  15. The OL looked OK when the Cardinals were in prevent. Last drive, they man handled our OL. Zavala is not an NFL starter.
  16. Hate to tell you this, but we are the Browns. Since the hot start to 2018, we are now 30-71. We’ve averaged 5-12 for soon to be 7.5 years. No playoffs for soon to be 8 years. Right now we are tied with Atlanta for the second worst playoff drought (Jets first). We are firmly tied for 2nd place since the 4th place teams are 3 fewer years.
  17. I’m sure current Dan Morgan would be an instant upgrade.
  18. It’s not his fault because he’s got a southern accent and he’s tall. Ask any NFL talent evaluator worth his salt and he’ll tell you those are the two most vital metrics for a WR. This effort, rote running, catching, bullshit is meaningless. And he doesn’t drop passes anyway. Young either throws them too hard or too soft. T-Mac didn’t play any better than XL Sunday, anyway, which is proof it’s not XL’s fault.
  19. Wow. Much great thread. Very informative. Would read again.
  20. He certainly fits their mold...
  21. My God. The less said the better.
  22. I disagree. He showered up to the Panthers still a diva thst was brought in to save Rhule and be a franchise QB. He left how he is now in Tampa. He had a huge ego in Cleveland and it's documented how bad it was. Both can be true and would explain why someone that talented looked so bad here. Even Sam had a resurgence under Wilks when they switched to small ball with running being the first option vs be a franchise QB and save us that was Rhule's MO. Scared straight if you will.
  23. We were a total shitshow last season, and it appears we did nothing in an entire off season to address it. That warrants booing and fan anger and apathy this early in the season. Honeymoon has been over with this regime.
  24. XL is a social media influencer masquerading as an NFL player, IMO. I think he is far more passionate about that poo than he is football. I think it shows on the field.
  25. lol right. If XL is Shenault, he won’t be in this league long lol.
  26. elite is Peyton Manning walking into Denver in 2013. That's elite. Thomas (best season was 500 yards), Eric Decker, Brandon Stokely and no name TEs all paired up w/ a meh backfield. With John Fox overseeing the O. THAT is a very bad offensive situation. But that was also a top 5 O with a QB leading the NFL in comp % and top 3 in TDs. elite QBs fix the bad. Now Peyton was a comical example of it. But if Peyton can do that.....a good QB could muster average offense in Carolina last year and this year.
