And will be the next two years with Bryce at quarterback! Ever think all that time complaining about the exact same thing over and over could be spent better?
-
Just as long as every year for the last three.

Dan Morgan: Panthers will pickup BY’s 5th year.
Joe Bear replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
Still enough fodder for people to rip their hair out, apparently. Not like this was breaking news, really. -
who did the chiefs replace Alex Smith with? Mahomes. Hopefully we'll get our Mahomes in a season or two.
-
What are you even talking about smith was 6’4 220 why does your memory tell you he was small

Your Feelings on Bryce Through 3 Seasons? (POLL)
Joe Bear replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean if we wanna pick and choose, if the defense held the Rams to just 30 points we'd still be in the playoffs. -
Not sure but either way it's still pretty low risk/just delaying the decision on him a year

Your Feelings on Bryce Through 3 Seasons? (POLL)

And if it wasn't for the defense holding the Jets to 6 and GB to 13 we'd be 6-11 because teams don't generally win when they only score 13 and 16 respectively. Let's not let the defense become a built-in excuse, let alone a crutch, for one of the worst offenses in the NFL. -
While I'm not the biggest Bryce Young fan, BY's first 3 season's beats Alex Smith's first 3 seasons' out the water, as hard that is to fathom, and it's not even particularly close (even factoring injuries). Alex Smith Bryce Young

Either the Canes take out their anger over last night, or they lay down.

If y'all wanna steal my poo at least say so

This is gonna be a long offseason with these types of threads with the same amigos commenting isnt it?
-
It was right at the end of his SF time. Hence why it makes zero sense to extend Bryce. If your ceiling is Alex Smith(Bryce has nothing near that as his ceiling) then there is no reason to invest in that. Let's focus on building a team for the future Pat Mahomes, not Alex Smith.

Rico Dowdle sounds like he’s gone

Eienne and Corbett should get Dave fired alone. -

The issue is that Mays isn't appreciably better than Bozeman. It won't take much in terms of resources to find a solution there. We just keep ignoring it, which is somewhat understandable given what we have invested in the RG and LG. Linderbaum is a free agent. If he doesn't sign with Baltimore, throwing money his way would definitely improve the OL unit tremendously. In the 2027 offseason, there will likely have to be a wholesale overhaul of the OL unit anyway. -
Smith also kept getting hurt because they hadn’t changed the rules yet to let someone that small survive in the nfl. like how many games do you think Bryce has missed by this point if Defenders are still allowed to land on him?
-
Ok, Colin Cowherd

I like Rico and appreciate his season but he’s def hitting the market. Roll with Chuba and Etienne and draft a later rb or get a decent vet. I still have a little faith in Etienne that he can be a solid back just don’t let him field punts my goodness. -
Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History
electro's horse replied to dep's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce is….shifty he’s not some ground threat or anything -
Ding ding ding. Some people here aren’t old enough to remember. Alex Smith was considered a bust for years. He didn’t really start figuring it out until he was about 28 when he went to the Chiefs.
-
I think the tell on that is how they construct the QB room in a few months. If they don’t change anything they are hypnotized.
-
There are much bigger needs than Cade Mays right now. He has performed well and I think he'll be an affordable starting center option. He looks wildly better than the previous starting center Bradley Bozeman who got beaten like a ragdoll against the Patriots last Sunday. But in retrospect the Panthers have had so many opportunities to draft a legit second round center in the last 5 years it's ridiculous.
-
Yeah, I liked what Robertson had on tape last season & earlier this year and was one of the QBs I most wanted us to draft day 3. But he sure as hell fell off a cliff the last half of the season and seemed like his fundamentals broke down

A lot more extreme lows than highs though. Like 10:1
