Don't forget what Tepper said about WR's. He said that we would be able to spend less on the position because of Bryce's elite processing and ability to distribute the ball like a point guard on the field. We have spent #1 draft picks on receivers the past two years to help him improve his game, and only one of them has proven that he can play at a starter level in the NFL.
-
Yep, Bryce is not athletic enough to ascend beyond his own physical limitations. I know that that statement is straight from Mr. Obvious and unnecessary to be said, but damned if some people just don't seem to get it.

You're likely to get some scrub who'll put up more yards but more turnovers and the same result.

Sounds good man thanks for your input. Carry on

Worse the 60 yards?

Investigate Jaycee Horn's betting accounts
kungfoodude replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
He is tied for team lead with 9 total penalties, 7 accepted. Hilariously, he is tied with Xavier Legette with the 9 total penalties. That's truly unbelievable. -
I think everyone should watch all-22 clips. So they can understand what they’re watching but even by posting them people still don’t get it. There’s a large group on this board that will blame Bryce no matter what so I post all-22 clips to help illustrate all of our issues Which this team has a long list of from talent to coaching Horn dropped INT and penalty were AWFUL. Chuba fumble awful.

Jimmy Clausen had 89 on the outside. You could put prime 89 out there for Bryce. Bryce still ain't going to put the ball in play like Jake Delhomme. It's QB DNA. Bryce ain't got it. we went from gotta get Bryce, he is so good that we can save money on O (so ignore the stupid price tag it's totally worth it) to.....Bryce needs the best talent around him to crack 200 yards.

Also the fact that his blunders tend to be magnified because they tend to occur when we're competing in games we honestly probably shouldn't be. Getting burned or committing penalties in crucial situations is honestly starting to become quite the trend for him. It's criminal he's going to the Pro Bowl and Derrick Brown isn't. -

We made him the highest paid DB in history He sold that whole drive following the penalty, too. Other big completion to JSN was his poor coverage, and then tried to give them a DPI in the end zone which we are fortunate the refs didn’t call otherwise SEA scores a TD instead of a FG. He’s the son of a division rival. I’d be fine trading him to rot in that swamp like his father. We’ve got the 3rd highest paid corner in the league performing like a jag most of the season, and worse in the most critical games, and we’ll get the privilege of paying him a pro bowl bonus too since clearly nobody watches Panthers football if Jaycee Horn is in and Derrick Brown isn’t. -
Also people - less "you don't know ball" or "you're delusional" crap. It gets so tired.

They're sneaky good. Very good. And they had the personnel to match perfectly against us. Seattle played really straight forward cover-2 and cover-3 pretty much all day. They had some nice simulated pressures in cover-3 that baited us to move more quickly than we needed to. They just totally cooked us. It was a full Macdonald checkmate against Canales & the offense. The recipe: Contain the run game enough (check) and have the LB & secondary athleticism to shut us down in the air (check) For any team that can match our OL's run blocking, just run a cover 2/cover 3 all-day. Similar to what the Saints did. Pepper in some simulated pressures to bait Bryce while you're at it. Bryce doesn't play the best against zone. Huge weakness, averages like -.09 EPA/P in his career. How that actualizes - from my eye test as a silly fan, he just doesn't have the velocity for the shorter/intermediates from in the pocket to the outside to get guys the ball in space vs zone. His best games (Rams, Falcons) was when they had a blitz we caught, went man, or it was a critical down with a misdirect/PA and he had the space to throw a nice ball, sometimes with anticipation. 23rd rated QB against zone. 24th completion percentage against zone. 42nd against zone ANY/A with a clean pocket. ANY/A being one of the more consistent correlations to wins you can find out of the EPA stuff you'll see nowadays. He doesn't even crack the top 32 for eligible QBs.

JT's Stats for the 2025 season. REC: 29 / YARDS: 190/ TD: 1/ Yards per catch: 6.6 The data seems to indicate that JT is not a huge component of our offense. His presence (or lack of it) is not what cost us that game yesterday. Sanders is a big guy but he seems to go down as soon as contact is made. He hasn't produced any "wow moments" in during his 2 years with the team. So far he's proven to be a JAG. I'd rather see Tremble and Evan on the field as our # 1 and #2 TE's. -

I think the aggravating factors are how many long TD's Horn has allowed(team leading 6 TD's allowed) and also how bad his tackling has been(24.5% missed tackle percentage, 1st among starting players. Overall, his QB rating allowed is good. His completion percentage when targeted is low and he is doing well in PD's. Truthfully, Jackson has not been recognized for how great of a season he is having. -

Player gets new contract and doesn't play to the same level is hardly breaking news or needs a conspiracy. He bet on himself and won so now all he has to do is enough to keep the non-guaranteed money rolling in. As for getting spanked by Olave it's just a bad matchup for him and a reality check. Maybe that would look a little better in another scheme? -
You are delusional, no way he’s ever going to be top 10 QB. I don’t blame BY entirely, but this guy cannot carry the team when it’s needed. No arm, no vision, and can’t play in the pocket.

No, they mostly manned up with 2 deep safeties. Our receivers couldn't beat the man. -
Only if you're under the impression his replacement won't be worse.

We shouldn't put this in the air I don't think Jaycee did anything wrong on purpose -
No, I'm gonna say the 4 picks against Chicago where all their points came off turnovers.
-
I bet if I go back again and pull up 2022 threads I'll find the same people in here saying Baker was the worst QB in the league and needed to be replaced. Then I bet if I go back a year further, I'll find the same people in here saying Darnold was the worst QB in the league and needed to be replaced. Beginning to sense a pattern here.

Yep so many teams opted out of bowl games this year they had to go down to 5 win teams, and most of them opted out

Jackson has outplayed him when you consider passes defended and holding/pass interference calls. I think Jackson has 1 call against him while Horn has either 7 or 8 - and worse of all, they always seem to come on third downs.
