One think before doing down. 45 pass attempts. 448 yards. Basicaly 10 YPA. yes thee were over 100 yards gains YAC but without getting too fine with it that is much better than what we have been seeing. And stands alone. We threw the ball down the field. Is that related, you think?

DC is not perfect by any means and it is INFURIATING the inconsistency shown this season so far but if they stay strong down the stretch and either just slip into playoffs or just miss them you got to give him another year to see if they make the next step. You want to see progress year over year and I believe we are. His play calling has been dictated by what he has at QB which we talked about ad nauseam. When BY makes bone head decision or has his multiple turnover games you start to lose trust in him no matter what the "coach talk" he says in press conferences. I would vote to keep DC for another year with a retooled QB room and see what happens.

We have the toughest remaining schedule in the league, so we'll see where we go from here. If he could do that to the #1 pass defense in the league, there's no reason he can't keep doing it.

This is what he does, I'm always happy when the Panthers win and will give BY his props for balling today. Unfortunately BY is like a crazy partner who does nothing but gaslight you into thinking that they are good enough for you, in reality they're not. He's a backup NFL QB in my eyes and idk if he could do anything short of a SB win to change my mind at this point. CONSISTENCY is the name of the game, are you there day in and day out. I think next week he should move into 3rd in receptions and 2nd in yards in a season by a rookie in team history. He's 1 behind DJ in receptions (on pace to beat CMC's record of 80 by 4) and 6 yards behind Colbert and 40 behind DJ in yards (and on pace to beat KB's record of 1,008 by about 150)

I would add, I am a football fan. There were no Panthers when I started. The Panthers are my football team and have been for all their existence. But I don’t have posters of players on my wall. way past that type of ‘fanning’. Knock yourself out with that just GTFO too when you start throwing the cheerleading type of fanning at me telling me that is what I should be doing. I have earned the right to have a high bar, to be cynical, to be critical, all of it. Also to be happy when we pull one out. I look long term. what happened this week is great but where are we headed? That is more the way I think about it. As if you could understand that.

Any Panthers fans right now are probably 95% hard-core fans. We all care about the team otherwise we wouldn't be on this forum posting. You dont really get casual bandwagon fans until you have sustained success. We got a little taste of that when we were rolling off Ws in 2015

OP I agree 100%. Easily some of the most fickle, least informed fan base I have ever conversed with about football. Wine and cheese fans for sure, it def pisses me off that I am have to be associated with them at times. Even when the Panthers were rocking the stadium would be full of visitor fans. Very very sad

It was the same his first game in 2023 if you go back and remember. And his second game in 2023. I hate to tell the truth to people that may not like it but there it is. I mean certainly the situation then and the situation now until a couple of throws today, is just a coincidence and nothing to do with him. It is the coaches or something. Or the receivers.
