This is definitely worth a phone call to his agent for a conversation. I'm encouraged by the reports on Ransom but relying on a 4th round rookie to be an immediate impact is a tall ask.

Bryce Young has done anything but be consistent so far in his NFL carrer & to prematurely say & jump to conclusion based off a small size that a player has actually proven himself in a certain area of his game.then it most certainly requires that Bryce Young has to first & foremost prove that he is able to successfully hit his target downfield on a consistent basis ...just saying -
I doubt it. Should be a vested veteran I think.

Is he subject to waivers?

Peppers: We could've literally done better off the trash heap.

TBH, I didn’t see a lot of him before we drafted him but heard all of the exciting comparisons. But then seeing him in the brief time he played again before getting injured with us, I don’t have a ton of hope he’ll ever amount to anything. Maybe it was a result of the initial injury, but to me, he looked very slow and heavy footed. -
One position that makes the biggest difference

You don't have to have a legendary or great QB to win the SB. It does take a good one on a solid team. There are some really legendary QBs without a Super Bowl ring, many with gold jackets. And then there are some solid but modest QBs with one or sometimes more rings. Still, that QB spot is the most important on a team, by a fairly sturdy margin. It's just not as steep of a margin as they want you to think. Dan Marino has no ring. Eli Manning has two. Trent Dilfer has one. -
I'm a Heels/Panthers fan. I've learned not to spend all off-season talking poo. LOL

Hendon Hooker signed to practice squad

To be honest, most qb's on the practice squad just aren't good enough to become dependable NFL backs. A few might be, but they are relatively rare. -
Even Jerry Jones isn't dumb enough to trade him to a division rival.

At least Dallas got some great picks for Parsons. We got nothing for Norman.

I see the article he linked referenced the big time throw metric. Never seen that used so often before Bryce Young. That data would have you believe Bryce is a better big time thrower than Josh Allen Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson. Sound a bit far fetched? I can buy into optimism but anyone that actually believes that right now before Bryce embarks on a key prove it season is not existing within reality. I'd love to see it though. Time will tell. -

Can’t hurt -
That's sometimes the case when it comes to the X's and O's of the game, and in film study. But when it comes down to the little things like hand/foot movement to beat X, Y, or Z coverage off the line or any other number of nuanced like that, basically the things players are discussing on the sideline between series, that's where the vets come into place. Those are the things that if the coaches who didn't have a ton of success were good at, they'd likely have had more success in their careers. But either way, none of that changes that coaches can only do so much, having vets to lean on is imperative to young players in their early years, it's not really even debatable.

Underrated point. And I can definitely see the same thing happening in Dallas. The Norman thing was so stupid. And I think (rightfully) it was the beginning of the end for Gettleman
-
GB thinks they have that in Love. Maybe they do maybe they don't. We'll see how it plays out. Ultimately it's all about the results on the field in the way of wins, losses, and ultimately rings. If they win a SB in the next few years it was obviously worth it.

Sounds like mental illness to me. Hope it gets better for you bud. -
Doesn't sound like Thielen had much confidence in the QB room in Carolina. But he went out of his way to talk glowingly of the rookie QB in Minnesota just two months ago.

If you are putting too much emphasis on how players feel about getting cut from a team then I dont know what to tell you. Some of them understand it's a business and tough decisions gotta be made. They don't get that emotional over it and he takes that raise back with him. Plus he probably wanted to finish his career there anyway and his Family clearly wanted to go back.......so that's what happened.

It is wild given how incredibly impulsive Tepper has been in firing coaches that somehow the coach that oversaw the worst defense statistically ever was able to keep his job. I thought Saleh would have been a shoe-in given their connection. I hope Canales/Morgan/Tillis have someone in mind if/when they pull the plug on the Evero experiment

Also doesn't this kind of undermine DC's answer that AT never wanted to leave? Kinda funny.

Washington comes to mind

Remember when Gettleman yanked the tag off of Norman right before the draft and it just gutted our locker room and pretty much tanked our season before it even got started? Yeah, the timing on this move is way worse than that. This is being done basically on the eve of the season kicking off. Not only is the locker room getting shocked but now you have the coaching staff pretty much recreating their game plans. I guarantee you everyone in the organization fully expected Parsons to be there
-
not swapping Evero for Salah might be another blunder that bites this team in the ass. We know without a shadow of a doubt that dude knows what he is doing on defense
