  1. Past hour
  2. He was injured and instead of resting, he gutted through it because of the playoff race.
  3. There are at least 14 qbs that make over $40 mill this year including such hof like Daniel Jones, DeShaun Watson and Brock Purdy. Bad qb decisions crippled the fins and cards. The Seahawks just won it all with a qb we discarded in Sam darnold. Qb is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. This decision was inevitable and gives the panthers 2 more years to (Hopefully) not make the same mistake others have concerning the qb position
  4. Pretty much. Worst case scenario is we burn $26M for a backup in 2027. I feel like I already know Young isn’t the guy to bring us deep in the playoffs but the team wants to confirm. Rather than signing a huge extension, we’ve got a 2 year review. We should know after 2026 but the 2027 draft may not go the way we want so at least we’ve got a QB for 2 years.
  5. I love all these people saying "Bryce gets a final chance"......Like what about the 3 previous years with subpar playing never avg barely over 200yrds a game as a QB! Micro mini QB is a backup level QB at best in this league, we need to move on!!!!
  6. Boooo.... Damn dude been on like 4yrs straight of prove it yrs and we still don't know what he has on a consistent bases.. He has looked like trash more games then a franchise QB and also is still the smallest QB in the NFL Cam played 9 season in Car and is a legend. Young going into yr 5 still looking for a winning season and something to say he even close to starter material
  7. It makes no sense I see all these articles saying if byoung keeps improving and I am wondering what improvement. His total tds were up for this past year, but his y/g 179.9 171.6 188.2 basically a flat line especailly if you remove his outlier games. His QBR 34.1 50.7 47.6 actually went down ; his y/a 5.5 6.3 6.3 no improvement . Basically every single stat shows he is exactly who he has been since entering the nfl a bottom of the league qb.
  8. Oh yeah makes sense to be afraid of a Daniel's/Giant situation. I want him to either clearly play his way into that or not. Big difference in 25 million and 50+
  9. Today
  10. That is a lot of wasted money. Which I could be bad at my job and get a raise.
  11. Awesome, I drove a canary yellow VW rabbit diesel back in the day. Ugly but a tank of gas lasted forever.
  12. The game with the photo was September 14 2003 in TB. Panthers 12 TB 9. I looked for the photo for a little bit couldn’t find it. But I saw it a few years ago because I revisited that game. So it probably still exists.
  13. That may be him. He was a great guy. I worked overseas so I really didn't know anyone but he and his family treated me really well and I have an amazing day. Didn't hurt the Smitty destroyed Fred Smoot who was running his mouth about shutting him down. I met on other huddler at another game but it was just a short conversation and 15+ years ago.
  14. If he doesn't have close to an MVP level season, then there is no way we can hand him a huge long term contract. If things stay as they are 2027 should be loaded with QBs. If not we have Pickett and Haynes King to hold us over. It scares me to offer Bryce a huge contract
  15. That may have been the guy I just posted about. Too late for me to edit, I left that out. The van and the timeline sound like there’s a fair chance it is the same guy.
  16. I will take a minute to remember Panthersfan or Pantherzfan, I forget his name. He passed on, and was a huge fan. He was in the stands and the photo of Jenkins blocking the gw XP at Tampa in 2003 caught him standing up right in the middle of everyone cheering. So he is immortalized in a sense, in that photo.
  17. Worst case scenario it can serve as a bridge QB year if we decide to draft one in next year's class. I'm not really concerned about the 5th year option, it's the extension that will be interesting...
  18. Not saying they will succeed but Pickett and King are definitely hungrier for NFL jobs than Dalton at this point. Not saying we couldn't have done a better job adding to the qb room but at least it got younger.
  19. I remember going to the Carolina/Viking game in 2005. I met one of the Huddlers (forget his name) He had a pimped out Carolina Van that was awesome. I joined his tailgate. Sadly, he passed away a year or so later. It was probably the saddest news I ever heard about this place.
  20. Maybe a little bit. Whoever wins the backup job is a slight upgrade from Dalton. King will need to prove he's worth a roster spot going forward but I doubt he's a threat to anyone on the roster this season.
  21. See, there is doubt about the finality of it. Every year a small incremental improvement seems to be enough.
