well, what the problem w/ our offense? If you had to define the primary issues? well, David Moore is the total package of all those issues wrapped up into one player. So yeah, the feel good local product and watching his comeback was easily a better sell to the fanbase. There isn't going to be a TON to enjoy this year.

I get Renfrow is easy to like but he is a year removed from the league in which he had some pretty pedestrian stats his last two active seasons. Throw in the fact he is already having some injury issues holding him back I can understand why he was released.
-
Not Panthers games. We generally get our asses kicked.

Lol, not a single condescending post was made in this thread until you, Mr. “put away the violin”. Derail, derail, derail then all you ever have to say is “oh you’re just carrying water.” I see it every day from you and I have made it a point to not talk to you for a while now, so you pretending like I’m some exception is hilarious. Everybody is tired of it dude, give it a rest.

Horn and Tremayne are rookies with unknown potential and ceilings. I'm cool w/ that given we are a development team. David Moore just adds nothing to the equation. Doing lots poorly isn't really a plus. Hunter Renfrow is the best short route runner on the roster and would have been quick and easy pass option for Bryce to help move chains if called upon (no one gets open on this roster for Bryce to get easy throws).
-
I don't get the vitriol for Moore. Just pretend he committed to Clemson. He's a decent player for a WR6. If a game comes down to him or Renfrow, it's on whoever was ahead of them anyway.
-
No lies were told lmao
-
This isn't exactly a rare thing, though. This does happen on a lot of NFL teams with guys they just know and trust. Rightly or wrongly. Horn and Stephens are the ones that reallu made me think they didn't have a high value on Renfrow.
-
As bad as he was, I was more impressed with Bryce as a rookie than XL as a rookie.
-
You are talking about WR 5-6 behind TMac, XL, AT, and Coker. Yes familiarity it something all coaches do. They bring on players they liked from the other teams they coached at. These players know the system with limited reps. Moore is a NFL special teams player who can fill in and play some outside WR. That's what you are at these deep WR positions.

Missed that Renfrow over Tremayne part but did ok otherwise..lol -
Not to mention he does have a lot of familiarity with Dave and Dan. I am not gonna throw a fit about Moore. Horn and Tremayne making it over Renfrow leads me to believe the Panthers did not value Renfrow nearly as highly as most thought.
-
He's not subject to waivers. Theres no sneaking
-
So you would have cut Bryce already?

Our defense is so poor behind the starters I expect there to be 5-6 signings -
Moore is just a ST warm body. Canales claiming he made it for special teams is just goobly goo for his guy that follows him at every stop. Then it gets repeated.
-
David Moore is cheap and does multiple things. He makes barely more than UDFAs

I wanted to see how many #Panthers from 2 years ago are still around. The data might surprise you Pink = not currently on any active roster Yellow = on another team's active roster Not highlighted = still on the team https://x.com/panthersanalyst/status/1960436356389462399?s=46 -

Did not expect Renfrow to get cut nor did I expect the LBs after Wallace/Rozeboom/Cherelus to be just Martin-Scott. Looks like they were able to make room for Incoom/Johnson, Crumedy/Jackson, and Evans/Mitchell though at the expense of Renfrow, a 10th OL, and a 5th ILB. I wonder if Evero plans to kick any of the OLBs inside in some situations? That or maybe they're looking to claim some bodies off of the waiver wire and wait until it's "safer" to move Johnson and/or Crumedy to the PS? -
Half this board is better than Claudin Cherelus.

He’ll end up in Kansas City or somewhere and we’ll look like jackasses in about 2 months.

Perhaps they'll bring back Hunter after the season has started.
