  1. Past hour
  2. 89's style was fun was super fun to watch play the game of football. I do not actually like 89. I still think he gets way too much love to this day. He is actually the type human you should root against. I get the, well, but he is our bad guy mindset.....but to me he didn't even fit that given he was such a horrible teammate and person in Carolina. Cam, Luke and Pep are the top of my list of Panthers. They all share something 89 doesn't have. Great players AND find a teammate/coach that has said some foul poo about them...it doesn't exist. Pulling for the good guys is the way it should be.
  3. XL needs to be a healthy scratch and let Jimmy Horn Jr play this week. If Canales is such an advocate for younger players to play and get exp, he needs to back up his words for his side of the ball too.
  4. Sounds eerily familiar, but without the drugs and big arm.
  5. Rams fans did not like him. They almost disliked him as much as Reeder who is Nakamura-esque status for them.
  6. Now that he's back in good graces with the organization we gotta take Smith's commentary on the team with a grain of salt. I don't believe the unfiltered Smitty of old would have defended this. But yeah Charlotte is a fairweather sports town. Every city has transplants; I think the pro teams just haven't been around long enough to build loyalty.
  7. At 5 mins and 38 seconds analysis of bryce’s performance within one score (you know, when it matters) Passing 9 of 16 for 61 yards 1 sack fumble returned fir a TD 1 Interception thrown 1 sack fumble taken away due to defensive penalty game ending sack that’s our qb when it matters
  8. I'm tired of Canales's positivity culture, it shows lack of accountability and no sense or urgency and this team plays like it. There is a huge difference in Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn's post game press conferences. They don't skirt the terrible in game mistakes and get straight to the point and say that they need to coach better.
  9. This team hasn't developed a single player in 2 decades. I wouldn't put any hopes that they ever will. So whatever a player becomes here will be solely of their own making.
  10. No way Rivera would trot these linebackers out. Parsons would have been the 2021 pick
  11. He's just upset that T-Mac is making him look like a fool and already looking like he might be a long term threat to his status as the Panthers WR GOAT. Trust me, Smitty is my guy, in my opinion, he's the Panthers overall GOAT too, with all due respect to Cam, Luke, and Peppers. But he does seem like the type to me to be upset about being wrong on the guy who is going to be a threat to his records and franchise standing.
  12. Yes this guy is very bad
  13. I will wait to see what happens on game day. I don't mind a coach blowing hot air towards fans. But there's no way he can think he looked good... Unless he thinks Bryce is the problem
  14. Yeah, Smitty is up there with Cam and Pep as not just my favorite Panthers, but favorite players ever. But the poo he’s been doing since Tepper brought him back? Save that poo and stfu. Him getting on air and picking on Joey Slye while singing the praises of Matt Rhule and how he believed in him, and then Rhule gets canned and now he tells us it was horrible under Rhule. The poo about Mingo being the real deal. He is a fuging bullhorn for Tepper and it’s fuging pathetic. As a professional, and as many have pointed out, imagine Smitty being on the field with a Rhule, a Mingo, a XL. He would’ve fuged all them up because they weren’t pros. Smitty had a MJ mentality - you either coming or get left behind, but you’re not gonna drag me down. And now all of sudden you preach understanding and patience? He’s a bully to people he can bully, and here he is punching down again (ask Anthony Bright and Ken Lucas about it) because somebody’s paying him to push bullshit.
  15. He defends XL but destroys Coker. His opinions have always been useless
  16. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he has CTE. He was a tough wide receiver that liked to hit and be hit. His brain may have taken too much of a beating during his college/NFL career...
  17. Yeah, it is ironic. He was notorious for going after Ken Lucas, that other WR I can’t remember, Dwayne Jarrett, and Armond Smith. He was not an easy teammate by any means
  18. Lol, Smitty would have been the one to try and chokeslam XL for being a bum ala when he punched Ken Lucas in the face that one year...
  19. And has no idea how to play zone defense... Yep, the very same
  20. Someone needs to make a gif of the 1 time we blitzed him and he looked like he was on skates as he just went right by Kyler... After watching that, I understand why we don't blitz...
  21. The oline wasn't that bad the final drive (except Zavala on 2 plays). Bryce has terrible pocket presence and just steps/scrambles into the pass rush far too many times. And Zavala's bad blocking wouldn't have even been a problem on the 2 plays if Bryce checked it down to Chuba. It's so weird that Bryce didn't try to check it down at all the last drive when that was pretty much all he did the previous 3 touchdown drives...
  22. I think just about every team would be in the same predicament if they lost 2 starting offensive linemen. It's even worse for us because our QB is so bad he can't compensate for a beat up oline. That being said, I think our depth at oline is solid. I don't think there is much a drop off from Corbett to Mays (if any) and BC has good position versatility and is IMO solid at each oline position (that I have seen him play). Zavala I thought played well last year and hopefully he was just bad yesterday because he had to come in mid-game. But yeah, none of those backups are close to the quality of Hunt
