In other news, we could have had Steve McNair in the 1995 draft....
-
You guys got a good team there. You beat Dallas as well and shut out Atlanta.

Hurricane Dan put on a masterclass FA signing this offseason

Considering Tuttle has done nothing Brown is a significant improvement from Tuttle -
Based on how just shut down Micah… he’s going to get top 5 LT money

The Defense, O line,Dowdle and kicker won the game for us yesterday. Everyone else was a spectator. The way Dowdle is playing, ANY play call would have worked. Play calling wouldn’t have mattered.
-
He folded under pressure for sure but Rams were also better than people thought. If he can overcome the mental hurdle of choking under pressure he could lead them to a championship.

I expected Brown to be more impactful. Hopefully Wharton is coming on now. He's getting more snaps now that both are playing. Rozeboom is decent after the terrible start. -
Pretty much everybody contains Bryce.
-
Complaining about him, seriously? This fanbase always has to nitpick about someone

Are you in favor of resting Dowdle this week?!?
NAS replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lol, you act like Saints can't beat us. We're not that good, we'll need every Rico carry we can get. -
Too soon to say. I like Young but I want to see the rest of the season play out.

I’d put Jackson as a solid B player. As a whole, Panthers have one of the best secondaries in the league. He gets burned, but rarely roasted. He’s almost never completely out of position but just lacks the elite physical traits of JC. Panthers still struggle getting to the QB. Receivers will eventually get open, it’s just going to happen, and QBs know better than to throw at JC on a scramble drill. From where the D was last season, the level of play right now is a minor miracle.

If we're speaking truthfully he didn't inherit anything he was directly a part of the decision making process that brought us both Young and Dalton. And he has kept the QB room intact aside from third string UDFA and other practice squad level QB's like Hendon Hooker and Mike White. If the owner pushed for it he should be willing to pushback and tell his boss they must do what is best for the team this go around. We cannot repeat that same mistake three years in a row. Such would be unforgivable. -
We were able to contain Bryce. Still lost the stat that matters though. I really don’t know how we beat Pittsburgh on the road last week.

Signing Rico Dowdle alone gives him an "A". Now we just have to figure out how to keep him on the roster after this year. I wouldn't be opposed to franchise tag (if allowed) while we look for trade suitors for Chuba in the offseason. -
would you extend the 5th year option or give him an extension? simple question

He had you guys ready to play us. I really think that turnover in the 1st quarter when we were driving in the red zone swung the momentum your way. You guys were fired up after that. That missed FG did us in as we could have went to overtime instead. We might have still lost in OT anyway. -
He is better than Bryce. Bryce is not good. He isn’t the future. He struggles to throw 50 yards in a half. You saw today on 3rd and 17 how he limits the offense. We pretty much set up a punt when most teams would try a long pass. Bruce can’t do that. With a better QB we would have scored more. We right now are winning because of Dowdle. If he gets injured we are doomed. The offense is ALL Dowdle. BTW, Bryce’s QBR when we kicked the FG was 48.3. That is not a franchise or even starter caliber.

24 points for Kon against the Jazz in a blowout win. Ace Bailey got himself a poster dunk but that was pretty much it. Credit due to Miles Bridges he's bounced back in a big way we need consistency from veterans like him.
-
Ron inherited a core of a team that was 12-4 two years prior too. Plus added Cam and Greg Olsen Canales inherited the worst roster in the league

Best offseason since 2003, and it’s not even close… but it’s still not close to 2003. -

I don’t want to see you guys in the playoffs again this year. That’s if we make it. I just know it would end terribly for us. -

Run Rico, run. As completely nuts as it is, this team is not out of playoff contention. Do I think they make it? I give them no better than a 10% chance. Rico is a warrior and has the heart of a lion. Locker room chemistry is a big deal and this team is staring 6 wins in the face with 7 games to go.
