  2. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jaguars-wont-exercise-devin-lloyds-2026-option' This is an interesting one. Could this be a good trade target for us at ILB? Young player with good production and still a good amount of upside. Likely an upgrade over one or both of Wallace/Jewell. Good PFF grades for those that care about such things.
  3. league ain't ready for this! I'm ready for camp to start. Need someone to get Bryce, Renfrow and Robert Hunt in a photo together so I can upgrade my avatar.
  4. Cheers OP. I wanted TMac to be the pick and was so excited, and surprised, when his name was called. Last year, I wanted one of the Xaviers, Worthy or Legette. So Dan has been delivering on my wish lists. Now I hope it pays off over the next few years. With our trade up last year into the first, we could have a dynamic WR duo on cost-controlled contracts for 4 years.
  5. Yea I have it. When it flares it can be very severe. I had an extended hospitalization a couple years ago and it took a while to recover. Can’t imagine trying to deal with that as a pro athlete. It’s hard enough as a desk jockey.
  6. I think the difference is that The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam were just big personalities with big time talent (The Golden Calf of Bristol just lacked any consistency, leading to most of us hating him because it felt like he pulled big plays out of his ass). Sanders is a good talent who is completely full of himself and the ego feels unearned. You should WANT to change the bad culture of the losing franchise you expect to go to as a top pick...but that's a thing you keep to yourself or articulate well enough that it doesn't come off as "we're doing poo my way, if you don't like that, don't draft me". You don't create an entire room touting yourself as legendary when you did absolutely nothing legendary at the collegiate level. Nobody is going to be fondly remembering Shadeur Sanders the college QB. Johnny Football is there, Cam is there, Vince Young is there, RGIII is there, The Golden Calf of Bristol is there. Sanders needs humility and to pry himself away from his father. His father is going to tank his career before it is even started. Sanders may bounce around the league as a backup for a few years, he'll play in select games and look like a backup but he'll have that one game where he pops off and that game will be used to say "see?! He's great!" and then he'll get the start and never live up to that game again.
  7. This came up from out of nowhere and sent me down a hole of FNM. Dudes were amazing and Angel Dust was just peak
  8. I think the Sanders issue is a variant of the issue an older The Golden Calf of Bristol or Cam Newton faced. Could they of been backup QBs? Sure, from a talent standpoint. But whether they wanted it or didn't.....they brought a circus, attention and demanded oxygen in a manner no coach wants to bother with in terms of their backup QB.
  9. I mean thats all fine and good as long as tet lives up to the hype. Because if he doesn't then that 180 is gonna be a truck on fire.
  10. This is what you need if the canes are going to keep winning. Your stars to be leaders in points and goals…
  11. I’m all out of Pie! Both literally and physically
  12. Today
  13. He actually could be bought out/cut only one season left at 4m salary. Doesn't make sense but he could be.
  14. We need Freddie to beat the Caps... period When the guys have to play passive to cover Kochetkov it neuters the offense.... we got lucky yesterday that our forecheck took over so much they just never got the puck.
  15. I like the fact Bryce scouted him for us…. You can tell Bryce and T-Mac clicked. Both grew up in the same area and have a lot in common and they both been talking about each other nonstop lol. You want that kind of locker room chemistry in mid-season but Bryce has been putting in work already. I bet you Bryce will spend a ton of time working on timing with these guys during offseason. It might take few games for defense to create chemistry and trust but offense should be good.
  16. We will go far if Jarvis, Aho and Svechnikov can come up big in the moments we need the big boys too.... nice to see Aho and Svechnikov not leaving it all on jarvy
  17. Over 30 coming off a torn Achilles is rough. I'm not surprised. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in and giving him a workout to see if he could help us.
  18. I lived in Evergreen for 14 years and never made it to Shelby's but in all fairness I fuging HATED Denver.
  19. OK, so we knew all along that TMac was our pick. 1. Fantastic job hiding it! Don't play poker with DMo. 2. Theilen's pay bump in March makes more sense now. A savvy vet to mentor Tmac, Horn,(rookies) XL (1 yr NFL & basically 1 yr college experience), and Coker (limited playtime last season).
  20. I also think there's a locker room element here. Shaq is and was an excellent person and leader. He's pretty much been the face of the franchise in the post Cam/Luke/Greg/TD era. I'm not saying Shaq is similar to 89, but Cam didn't come into his own as a leader until 89 was gone, and I love Steve Smith. I'm not sure Shaq can stick around long enough to be part of the next good run. We lacked leadership on defense last year in his absence. Need someone to step up into that role. Even on a team friendly deal, I'm not sure we bring him back, and I mean that in the most complimentary way I can say it.
  21. I actually like that we made the decision early. Production is more valuable than the underwear olympics in my humble opinion. Use that pre-draft time to determine things like character and work ethic.
  22. You are absolutely correct. We were speculating at the time. The UC news dropped yesterday (to my knowledge). That's great news. That said, he did have a devastating concussion that derailed his 2022 season, which is why we were speculating.
  23. When the panthers are bad, we sell a shockingly low number of jerseys, and options become limited. In the good years, we had a lot of different options. I think T-Mac is going to have to play well on the field for his jersey to get produced in the FUSE template.
  24. Torn achilles. The reason he was out more than half of last season.
  25. it's not the only way to be a threat, it's certainly important for certain roles in an offense and for certain type players and offenses. as is the ability to get open quickly and generate easy throws. as far as Renfrow goes, I have consistently said he is sort of his own thing and not really in comp w/ others here. It's a niche role/job. Anyone talking about something else from him isn't me. Just depends if we want to do what he does and if he can still do it. as far as AT goes, yeah, he does lower our ceiling given the % of our offense that goes through him and his limitations at this stage in his career. He should be a roleplayer, much like Renfrow should be if we want to insert what he does into the O....not an O being run through him. Renfrow isn't going to lower the ceiling if used correctly. Niche assignments to move chains. It's like a short yardage RB that comes in to pick a random play. Renfrow is best at that 3rd and 4 type scenario IMO. AT lowers the ceiling because we build the pass game off an old WR that shouldn't be the focal point of a pass attack. Not to mention, Bryce Young is practically tailor made to get the ball in the hands of YAC players. So you need those type on the field.
