Rumor. Canes trading for Tomas Hertl
PantherChris replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Hes a big physical center, great shot and playmaker below/between the dots excellent PP and bumper player.... His game isn't likely to dissappear with four years of age.... This is just 2m more than useless KK. 2C is a HUGE whole and he is one of the better 2Cs. -
Yeah, the injuries are disappointing. And it’s crazy we’re already in year 6, but I feel like when he’s healthy, he’s a top-tier player. He is a star. That being said, if we could get a haul for him, I would consider it. I actually would be very interested if to see if we could get Jalen Green, as it’s rumored the Suns are looking to move him somewhere else. I also think that would solve PHX’s PG problem. But unless it’s something like that, I believe in Melo, he just has to stay healthy.

It's a combination of factors. I think the biggest being the perception of our franchise as a whole. And while I do think there is an entitlement attitude with some of the newer generations of players nowadays I can't really blame any of them for not wanting to come in just to play second fiddle to an albeit clearly talented player in LaMelo Ball but also at the same time let's just put all our cards on the table here he is also extremely hot and cold and lackluster at best on the defensive end. And that's when he's actually available to play which isn't often anymore. He's somehow averaged less playing time than even Gordon Hayward the last few years. While I can appreciate your stance and not wanting to give up on him. We're heading into year 6 broski. Enough is enough.

I would bet it has more to do with our dumpster fire franchise. We do not develop talent.

Agree except Andre Johnson. I think he's higher on that list than Andre Johnson. Hall of Very Good Inductee. Everyone else, you can have it. -
I’m not understanding this poo about them not wanting to play with Melo. He loves passing. To me, it says more about the lack of maturity, character, and winning mindset of the draft prospects refusing to play with him than it says anything about Melo. Melo is a damn good player. Unless I’m missing something, I suspect it’s because these guys want to be the alpha dog coming in and don’t want anyone else that they perceive would overshadow them. poo is weak.

I didn't say he's a bad player. But he's signed through 36 years old. I just said I'm not sure about it. -

What are you smoking? Hertl will have a 6.45M cap hit for four years because san Jose retained when he went to vegas...... 6.45M for a 30+ goal high end 2C.... -

We're not gonna win any FA sweepstakes so now we're trading for bad contracts? Not sure about this one. -

Big center from Vegas. Stay tuned!

If they could get a solid trade for him I’d do it but it’s the Hornets so that ain’t happening
-
With rumors swirling that multiple lottery picks refuse to workout for the Hornets and one directly stated he doesn't want to play with LaMelo Ball it's hard out here to be a damn Hornets fan. But at the end of the day even though this franchise has plenty of blame LaMelo Ball himself has been immature time and time again and seemingly spends more time getting terrible tattoos than honing his craft that actually pays him hundreds of millions of dollars.

Slow drivers on 2 lane roads especially can create dangerous circumstances. And I definitely get the frustration. At the same time far too many people nowadays are demented behind the wheel. I mean you can be running 10 over and still some idiot will be riding your bumper. And where I live even in residential areas people speed. Unless there are heavy speed bumps they just barrel right over them. Truth be told Americans on the roads are the worst beings you'll ever encounter on this planet. Sadly not an exaggeration.

We were. Now we're the "Why are we here?" franchise.

From ESPN this morning: Pablo Torre and Mike Florio did some digging into contract negotiations: The whole thing is... a lot. Expect to see more details and analysis of this today as folks dig into the arbitration ruling https://awfulannouncing.com/nfl/pablo-torre-mike-florio-uncover-evidence-collusion.html

Yeah, criminally underrated but definitely not top 10 all time. -
This last year my biggest issue is slow drivers. And I don't mean people going the speed limit. I mean people going like 10-15 UNDER the speed limit. It's really a pain on two way roads like McKee and Ballantyne Commons. There are areas that are 45 and people are just rocking out at 25-30 in rush hour morning and afternoon traffic.

Love smitty, but can you put him ahead of Moss, Harrison, Fitz, Jefferson, Megatron, TO , Andre Johnson, Deandre Hopkins, Evans, Tyreek and several others not immediately coming to mind? Smitty only has 9 more career receiving TDs than Marquis Colston (yes, I know Brees). Colston never even made first team pro bowl. It’s painful to say, but he’s not even top 10 when considering his competition
