How I play the team rebuild and Bryce Young if I was the GM
mc52beast replied to jb2288's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think a bigger elephant is the owner. If he pushed for Bryce then he’s going to make Canales do anything and everything to make him work. And again with Tepper, we know how he has meddled in the past and I’m not convinced he has been twiddling his thumbs and staying out of the way. Just remember that any and all decisions are ran thru him and his wife and I’m not confident at all that this team will be anything more than horrible while Dave is the owner. -
Is anyone else now buying the idea Tepper has eyes on a Europe move??

As long as we get another team. -

They would find ways to help. Larger PS, more cap space, etc. Besides its not one team moving it would be atleast 3(Panthers, jags, titans/bills/ravens/jets/saints). One team travels over there and plays 3 teams in three weeks. The travel is not worst than going EC to south Alaska AKA Seattle. or other WC trips. They already have a plan in place, trust me...And I feel tepper is 100% involved. -

Not at all. If it ever happens it will be an expansion. Thats the only way it makes sense -

It would be fitting seeing as he is a huge globalist. His politics align with the EU as far as I can tell. And it fits our profile of constant disappointment. -

That's true and all, but he could also bring that missing energy as well. I mean all dem numbers on the checks, you better find out other ways to show your value when you are struggling with Yards, recs, and TDs... Id be one happy fool just being the backup OLman, 987,045 $$ to lift weights and travel!!! No chance Id be upset, even with 1-____ whatever record. OL coach "I cannot cut that Bas fellow, he brings the whole room energy up when he enters!!" wowowowow -
Round 3 - The Carolina Panthers Select DJ Johnson - EDGE - Oregon
strato replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
My memory of the phone call after that pick was Evero or someone saying we just want you to set the edge or something similar. Asked him to do One Thing and in his 3rd year he has yet to learn it. -
Bryce or XL sure. Keep the rb, he should be needed and can spell Chubba. The D stinks so bad that getting rid of Brown seems dumb to me. Horn vs injury potential? Maybe but it's hard to imagine when he just got a deal.

Nate Tice Nails the Limitations of the Offense
Basbear replied to Panthering's topic in Carolina Panthers
This year Im done with the excuses for BY. Its year three. He was the consensus #1 pick. They spend 200 million on OL to protect him, most was used on two stud OGs. They also resigned Motwon and Cobert(lols). They have used prime draft capital on offense players- Mingo 39th, XL 32nd, Tmac 8th, Sanders 104 among many other picks. They resigned Chubba and brought in a recent 1,000 RB to help get 1st downs. He simply needs to play better. Just like 95% of the players and staff. -

The good news is that Tepper works so poorly with others that if the NFL didn't carry him across the finish line I have trouble thinking it will end any better than Rock Hill. It's also not a fan issue. It's the product they are selling issue. Couldn't pick a worse product to sell in a new market like Europe. -

It’s not like he’s played well and deserves a shot elsewhere. Dude has been garbage since day 1 -

Its not too much but it doesnt look like anyone else who was playing did either. -
So we acquire another QB who probably won’t be on the roster in two years… I’ll pass

im leaning towards Bryce being a flop but let’s look at the WR’s he’s throwing to; we have a ROOKIE leading the team in yards and catches Morgan sends our only decent vet back home because “I wanted to do him a solid.” Coker has missed multiple games Legette is probably another horrible pick who acts like he has given up who in our legit TE… which other third year QB could work magic with this lineup -
The entertainment would come at our expense.

This is going nowhere. My last word on this: There is no history of success in the 21st century NFL other than maybe Flutie if he played that long I don’t remember. So why consider a guy that was maybe 180 soaking wet and tippy toe 5’10? He has to roll out to see the field. 1st round? That is not a wise move 9 of 10 times. At least I’ll take my myopic chances and if he falls to the 4th or 5th maybe I take a shot.
