  1. Past hour
  2. Very illuminating rebuttal. Thank you for gracing us with your insights.
  3. Today
  4. I think age is overblown at times because McCarthy could coach another 5+ years. That would put him at the same age as Andy Reid, who could coach another handful of years if he wants to. As long as they remain sharp and committed to the daily grind, then age shouldn’t be an issue. I also think that they can still be patient with the QB situation at McCarthy’s age. Let’s say they start a veteran and draft someone to develop over the next 1-2 years, that would put at McCarthy 63/64, so he could still coach another handful of seasons with that young QB. Ok, one could argue that a young HC and QB could be paired together for their entire NFL careers, but such pairings are rare in the NFL as most HCs don’t last beyond five years. Most QBs go through a number of HCs during their careers. What is important for a young QB is having the right HC to set on them on the right path and McCarthy is as good an option as others.
  5. Do they even know if the cranky old man is going to bless them with another season? He usually doesn't decide until after the summer solstice and he has had opportunity to dwell in darkness and contemplate things over some psychedelic substances.
  6. I'm a little concerned about this year's center draft. The top 4-5 are all undersized. Sub-300 pounds. I know our best center of all-time was too but he was athletic as hell to make up for it. We have an OL of maulers right now. Just not sure how an undersized guy at center would fit into the roster and overall scheme at the moment.
  7. One of the many who claim they were there, i can prove it though
  8. January 24th 2016, The last time I had hope for this franchise. Hard to believe its been a decade. Huddle was poppin in those days
  9. No one called CareBear tonight?!? I'm flabbergasted, simply hornswoggled, downright befuddled!?!
  10. The right answer is neither and drafting Maye with the #1 Pick of the 2024 Draft lmfao we traded away the #1 in a QB LOADED DRAFT
  11. I have no idea why you are so irrationally upset about the notion that going out and spending $150 million free agency dollars on two interior offensive linemen could be construed as a panic response after our #1 pick we traded a fortune for had one of the worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years. It is objectively what transpired. Dan Morgan as of right now is a mixed bag. Some really good some so so some not so good some bad some really bad. You take any rational criticism personally like you are related to him or something. That's something you'll have to figure out for yourself. Anyways. The predicament Dan Morgan finds himself in for this year will define his future as GM. I sincerely hope he navigates it to perfection. But the circumstances are largely of his own creation. And not just in his stint as GM but going back to his time as assistant GM. Which conveniently people like yourself don't like to talk about. That is the reality of the situation. I like how you will carry water for Dan Morgan to the point of getting into random spats with people but make no mention of Bryce Young's glaring limitations and shortcomings as a starting QB yet go out of your way to put the onus of our struggles squarely on Canales. I mean I've been quite critical of Canales too but he sure isn't the only one to blame for our problems.
  12. They weren't well thought out. We needed one, not both. 2 top center/guard candidates were going to be available in the 2nd. We would have been fine with JPJ or Frazier. Drafting either over XL or Brooks would have made perfect sense. Hell, drafting both would have made sense even if we had signed Lewis or Hunt. Instead we drafted a 1 year wonder project WR and a luxury RB that we didn't need since we had Hubbard. Draft IOL, pay tackles. Plenty of 2nd round guards and centers start immediately and play very well. Those 2 picks were not good then, now, no matter how much explaining anyone tries to do. Several of called it then.
  13. I have no problems with difference of opinions. Difference of perspective. Perspective is everything. The statement you made was false. Period. So sorry that you don't like me calling it out. Frankly, Frank, I gave up on seeing anything eye to eye with you when I was a much younger man. Nothing I said was a personal insult, so get over yourself. As far as comparing rosters. I just dont give a fug. There are no 2 rosters in this league that are built the same as far talent and contracts. Every team is on their own journey. Is our passing offense far from desired? Yes, we can agree on that part, but not on why it has struggled. I wish we could easily just drsft all the talent we need, the the NFL doesn't, and hasn't worked that way. Dan Morgan did a fantastic job at bringing in talent along the line, and retaining talent along the line. We needed it also, as we used every bit of the depth we had, most of the season. Unfortunately we were relying on a receivers room that their average age is less than my oldest son, and that is NEVER a recipe for success for the group. The constant shuffle at online was horrible. Despite how horrible it was, our online actually performed well above expectations for what they went through. We also need our play caller to attempt to stick to an offensive identity. Unfortunately, Dave C. didn't do that, for whatever reason. Hell, the online was the highlight of our offense this season. Wished the rest of the offense performed as consistent. He'll, wish our defense performed that consistent. I'll give you credit, for not dropping to your expected behavior in your response. Congratulations. Have a goodnight.
  14. Linderbaum is also a pretty specialized center based on his size and strengths and im not sure he would be great here.
  15. I'll be direct and to the point. If you can't handle difference of opinion without making it personal because I am not being a sycophant to your standards then do not quote me. We can disagree without this nonsense. As far as the matter at hand. I think Lewis and Hunt are good at what they do. I like them. I wanted us to address the OL. I wanted to do it largely via the draft though. We went the instant results path and now we have the highest paid OL in the league and the results are the same as the Texans who gave up the same number of sacks as us (37) but the difference is they are 25 out of 32 in salary cap dedicated to the OL while we are #1. And they have a more balanced roster to show for it. Now we are at a crossroads where we are basically cornered into investing even more resources into the OL for what was ultimately the 27th passing offense. This is not good. If you're arguing with me on that point then we have nothing further to discuss. Goodnight.
  16. Canes outshot 14-3 SOG 3rd period, don’t think I’ve seen that this season. Good win though.
  17. I'll be at the Mammoth game Thursday. See ya's!
  18. I try to listen to you. I try to see if you offer any true perspective, that I miss. The signings of Hunt and Lewis were not of panic. They were well calculated. Now it's obvious you didn't care for the signings, although that's not how you offer up your perspective. You throw poo against the wall. Makes trying to listen to anything else you post, a waste of time.
  19. I won't mind Mays back on 2-3 year very team friendly deal if we can't find an upgrade
  20. Someone tell Rod it’s ok to play offense.
  21. We’re still two really good drafts away (at least) from retooling this roster, to be a year in, year out contender for our division. Draft the LOT and C this year if the stars align and we don’t reach. Starting two rookies on the OL will be ugly this upcoming season but it has to be done to balance out the huge misallocation of cap to the OL. We’ll just have to fill in the other needs with cap friendly FA’s while we rebuild longer term through the draft.
  22. Y’all, I know canes scored 4 goalies but minus bus, they look like poo tonight. If Freddie was in net canes would be getting cooked. Zero fuging offense. Goddamit.
