  1. Past hour
  2. I view it like Canales grew at least one ball, so I like it. It is an assertion of his intention to go down swinging.
  3. Not just that, consider the picks we gave up in that draft --- brace yourselves: R1 Jalen Carter DT (CHI traded 9 to PHI) - top starting DL in the league w/some screws loose R2 (from the CMC trade) Brenton Strange TE - solid starting TE R3 (original pick used for Matt Corral package) Marte Mapu LB - Developing depth/Vrabel loves him and he's making an impact at LB - Byron Young also went like a pick or so after this lol R3 (from the DJJ package) Darnell Washington TE - developing but getting more playing time R4 (DJJ package) Nick Herbig EDGE - a blooming EDGE defender for PIT. Having a great season. 80%+ defensive snaps R6 (Gilmore trade) Kayshon Boutte WR - was hyped, has had his moments. Way more impactful than Mingo and others
  4. On the surface yeah, but Tepper was heavily involved with this shet show
  5. Im just saying, Mendoza or Moore at 8 to 10 range if one of them is there is an appealing option. If you go defense, at least look at one of the 2nd tier guys in the 2nd or 3rd round so you can have options and competition.
  6. TBH, I was a bit surprised before I saw the article that no one took a chance on him even for the PS, simply because of his physical tools. I think we had him playing gunner at one point. He has edge rusher size and runs a 4.3. So yes, the fact he was in our roster for multiple seasons, gets cut, and doesn’t even get a PS invite elsewhere tells us all we need to know. Times have never been worse as a Panthers fan.
  7. Could be said for a lot of coaches here, but also as far as Evero goes... Didn't develop DJ Johnson or Jammie Robinson Trevin Wallace still has hope, but that's fading fast and Payton Wilson was on the board. So far, Wallace looks like depth/ST at best. Crumedy is a 53rd man on a bad roster. Chau Smith-Wade has been solid And this year...Canales has basically said to play the rookies, so we'll see. I have hopes for all the defensive rookies and think they've all shown promise. But...how much of that is actually *finally* drafting a good player vs. anything Evero did in a couple of months? As far as offense goes? Whoof...might somehow be even worse.
  8. This goes with all of the first half picks. Draft football players. Not projects.
  9. So he received no interest from the other 31 teams for training camp or practice squad opportunities. Sounds accurate for someone our team cut.
  10. Wow. Reading about DJ’s release got me to thinking and I was like, “I wonder where Barno is now?” because I always liked his potential. Welp… he’s nowhere, and will remain nowhere after this. https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/crime/amare-barno-former-nfl-player-arrested-domestic-violence-charlotte/275-74e438ed-6527-4c02-b547-3d325c54895b
  11. Yes, no more awarding players unchallenged starting positions. And never make bad players your captains. What kind of message does that send? This fuggin team drives me crazy. lol
  12. Firing Evero isn’t going to accomplish much overall Dan and Dave make him the scapegoat to buy themselves more time. I don’t agree with how Evero runs the D but there is next to no talent on that side of the ball Dan and Dave are the real problem
  13. To this day, I’m not sure I really understand what role Caldwell had in firing Reich. I thought, perhaps wrongly, that Caldwell was a advocate for hiring Frank but after the firing, I’m not so sure.
  14. I think he just tattles on everyone like Hoppin’ Bob from the movie Life.
  15. Well whatever the reason he's here he and Evero longer have any value to this team. They have proven that their defense isn't effective in the moden nfl anymore.
  16. I have some hope that the 24 draft will eventually be seen as modestly successful by NFL standards. Remember that the Michael Barrett pick ultimately netted us Michael Jackson. I’m willing to give Morgan one more draft and offseason to prove himself. Unfortunately, Morgan carries the residual stench of Fitterer. It’s hard to know for sure if Morgan was an accomplice to or hostage of Fitterer.
  17. I don’t know. I think this is a thing where Tepper thinks more is more and opened the wallet because he could. I don’t think Dom does much probably a sounding board. But that is pure speculation I have no way to know. I do have a negative view on Moire because of that backstabbing with Reich. The picking of Bryce Young, he was here for it and an offensive guy and had a voice in it.
  18. And the latest one. This time it takes place a bit closer to home, in Wythe County, VA. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions on how we can make these better, let me know.
  19. Dom and Evero appears to be a package deal. I find that an odd arrangement. Who is actually the puppet master and who is the puppet?
  20. Good point. Too many my fellow Huddlers think that the only way to get a franchise QB is to tank a season so we get a top 5 pick.
  21. I don’t even know WTF Caldwell does. I know Dom came with Evero.
  22. Today
  23. That is the normal way of doing things but we are not normal. Dom hanging around with no input is one thing. Dom having a lot of influence is another. It's the same with Caldwell, he's outlived his usefulness and his influence is not helping.
  24. Okay. I’m not really invested in either.I love Dom just from the old days. Personally I don’t think I would single out Evero for firing unless I was keeping Canales. Not keeping Canales you just fire them all at once. And probably not in season. If I was keeping Canales I’d give him his own DC - as I would for any coach.
  25. House of cards finally collapsing. Once it is done, we can start to rebuild. Didn't know how good we had it back in the day. We were hating on Rivera and Hurney, Fox and Hurney. Stupid MFers didn't know what we had.
