I'd be for this. Loved him in the draft process and surprised he slid. Can't hurt to bring him in and defnitely think he takes DJ's spot as and run stuffing EDGE.

Moose was also a victim of time as well. His first season was 1996. We went through multiple QB's before getting to Jake Delhomme and by that point Moose was 30 and he was also playing opposite Steve Smith who was commanding the ball. He took the money with the Bears and honestly considering the QB's they had up there he put up respectable numbers. He eventually made his way back to Carolina and still put up good numbers at 35 years old. But it's fair to wonder if he had been in Carolina the whole time with consistent quality QB play if he would have had even more 1,000 yard seasons. But we'll never know.

I've seen moore around the NFL for years. He offers nothing dozens of other players can do with 0 upside. Renfrow IMHO offered slightly more with wayyy more upside and reasons to root for him and the team. That being said we are getting upset about a 5th or 6th wr. That also being said he'll probably sign with someone else, ball out and we can all say told you so

Simmons is a bum, can't set the edge in the run game and can't cover. He's an athlete, but it doesn't translate.

Love Moose, but looking back at his career he broke 1000 receiving yards 3/14 times including one insane year in 2004 where he had 16 TDs. Those other 11 years were decent, but the fact he is one of our top WRs in franchise history shows how we really struggle at drafting/developing them.

Renfrow is dealing with injury issues, coming back from a devastating issue with his health, and directly caused an interception in the preseason. This affinity for certain players and dislike for others is what fandom is about, but you all definitely ride harder for some than others. Also, cut out the XL stray bullets. The kid was a rookie and didn't have problems with drops in college. Devante Adams had the same issues as a rookie and became dynamic. Give it a rest!

Or for the same reasons can release him while working on Thielen trade. Im not predicting that but its plausible

XL has the highest ceiling of any receiver we have. He damn well better be part of the game plan.

So, based off the official depth chart, there are a few things I dont like on defense. Bobby Brown III as the backup, with Robinson starting over him, and our smallest DL starting at NT. I dont like that neither of our 2nd rounder OLBs are starting, so I am hoping for heavy rotation there. Also, David Moore is our punt returner, WTF? Also, our primary backup RB as the KR when we have other capable players like Horn Jr and Trevor? For a long term fit, totally. But we can find better than the current backups on the team off the waiver wire.

I don't see how. I have consistently favored young players. So I have zero issues w/ the rookies. Moore nor Renfrow fall into that camp. The convo is only about Moore. Not the young guys making it over him. I have disagreed w/ the Panthers decision makers very often this time of year for several years. The Panthers decision makers do not have a great track record vs those criticisms.

That's going to have to wait until the next draft unfortunately.
