  1. Past hour
  2. Did a fair bit of trading in this one...
  3. I would do unspeakable things for this draft. I think that's 5 contributors next season, and know nothing about TJ Hall, but fine by me.
  4. I do. I met him and his GF right after he was drafted working on the house he had just purchased. Both were really nice to me and treated me like any other person. I remember thinking that this was a pretty ordinary house for a NFL player, a lot less fancy than I would have expected. Gotta admit I was shocked when that whole thing happened. It was kind of creepy because I still had to work in that neighborhood and drive by that house 6 days a week.
  5. Today
  6. He traveled around on a skateboard and changed jersey numbers three times. (Also wore 89)
  7. Panthers don't target TEs because they can't get open. Sanders is the only one that can regularly get open and he drops the ball regularly and isn't a great blocker. Tremble is the best TE and he likely wouldn't start for most teams.
  8. Has TukkanSam come in the thread bemoaning that a receiving TE would take away targets and hinder the development of our young WRs yet?
  9. Tremble is in the last year of his contract. We can keep, cut or trade him. Time to move on from another Rhule guy. Besides Chuba and BC, that will leave only the first round guys during that era. That I can handle because yo are supposed to hit on first rounders.
  10. My only thinking is that perhaps there's a reason New Orleans let him go. I don't know of one, but we've bought a lame horse a time or two. Also, I like getting younger and cheaper on the o-line. We need a good program for continually growing that line. Center is an excellent place to start, especially if you choose ones that can play guard, too. We've got a lot invested in our guards right now, but they can and do end up injured. But hey, if Fortner proves to be the guy, then alrighty!
  11. Unfortunately that is one area where his abilities are hindered without a doubt. That being said we have had issues with drops. But I don't think we are or were anywhere near the top of the league in that aspect. Overall I would be happy if we added another legit receiving TE but I would be of the opinion that his full potential will be squandered until we have a starting QB with the necessary physical tools. Just a matter of accepting the reality staring back at us.
  12. Most of the best TE come from rn 5 or so.. NOT many good 1st rd TE you can find them later in the draft. Some teams don't value TE If you want a receiving threat just get a WR. This team needs speed and shiftiness not another big body just my view on the position..
  13. CJ Allen has been touted as the ideal MLB in this class. He was one of the few top ILBs not to work out at the Combine so his Pro Day will be interesting to watch.
  14. I think Bryce's first pick was over the middle. I wondered then about his ability to see the field in that area.
  15. Frankly I'm surprised he's still a color guy on the preseason broadcasts. It was like nothing happened. Kinda like December 2002.
  16. CJ Allen is being mad undersold here. He’s very much a lock for the 1st and the next LB behind Styles/Reese. Totally in play with the available OL, McNeil-Warren and some others at 19. If you look at our holes and who creates the most, surest, immediate impact it’s Allen and M-W for me. His game is complete, balanced skillset, top defender, leader, all pluses. Hill Jr has the upside but isn’t in his tier. He is more Rodriguez/Lawson/Louis/Golday/Trotter in the offball group. That whole tier will be hard to predict order wise bc it’s in the eye of the beholder/what teams think fits best. All have great skills but aren’t on Allen’s level. No order but Thieneman, CJ Allen, Freeling, Fano, McNeil-Warren, Mesidor, and sure Saddiq will all be in consideration. It will come down to who really gives us the biggest impact and long term fit. It’s a fun group to think on.
  17. Its about time as a franchise we cut ties with this dude, nothing good is going to come from him being associated and working with the team
  18. You can add the TE we seek but opposing defenses still have to believe the QB can deliver him the ball at a high level particularly over the middle which is where the really good TE's thrive and that hasn't exactly been an area of the field our passing O has thrown to at a high % the last 3 years we've had a whole thread on that already. You can bet opposing defenses with nearly 50 games of tape will certainly be licking their chops waiting to see us try.
  19. Yeah, when you're wanting to run multiple TEs and your TEs are a weakness you're basically handcuffed yourself. I think there's a good chance our passing attack would look significantly different if we had a quality receiving TE.
  20. That and when you fug around with someone else's spouse and the spurned spouse goes nuclear and puts your poo on blast... well, you should've been doing your part of the "mind your own business" mantra.
