  1. Past hour
  2. before the Freeling pick, we were 1-2 injuries away from Stone Forsythe and Chandler Zavala starting
  3. Maybe not the pick some wanted but the pick we needed. As many mentioned here our ot situation is a mess this year and a disaster next year. Icky is out this year and may never return to form. Moton is getting old and the mileage is starting to tax him. And the gb ot is a 1 year rental. We needed a high upside ot and those are hard to get after the first round. I'm also glad it wasn't a wr or Sadiq so that's another check in the win column for me.
  4. Okay there is a difference there: I view it as if the job is to catch up to what we were. Which is what you say. Struggle. When this Icky injury happened it set us back from that level. Right there. I feel like without at the least being at the OL level we were at with Icky, it’s certain regression. We have questions about the RBs too (and we Must be able to run it). We definitely could not fix the offense to the level we want if they go backwards up front. It looks like that is handled pretty well and okay let’s move forward now with a solid base. So now find Temo Lemon and make lemonade. FWIW you could find post upon post of me saying no 1st round WR but also one post saying I would waive that if he fell. We do need someone like him. Hard to find, I know. But he might be out there. The other part about Bryce should not limit us, well that was hat the team signed up for drafting a historically small QB that lacked any physical traits you would call plus at the NFL level. We’re just stuck with it. Reality.
  5. If we move up for someone who can make an instant impact on D I'm ok with it for now
  6. I will take it as Canales Morgan and Bryce all gone if this somehow doesn't all click together even though it's mostly Teppers fault we're in this mess lol.
  7. Canales said in his interview that Freeling is going to play. He said he was too good of a player not to be on the field somewhere. So take that how you want.
  8. You’ve also got some reps in there that are perfect. Some of his 2nd level combo blocks can’t look any better. When he stonewalls a rusher, it can’t look any better. He’s got to make those reps more common tho. I think it’ll happen with time. He’s started so little.
  9. Eh I just wanted a impactful starter not sure how I feel about another offensive pick, let alone a o lineman that’s supposed to solve issues we don’t even have to deal with this season. the two big names we passed on were lemon and Dillion, so it will be interesting to see how those two pan out compared to freeling. are we really looking at the Lt play as a factor to why the offense was bottom 3rd in the league ?
  10. Its really interesting how fast people forget about importance of OL.
  11. Lemon probs. I wonder if his combine interviews with the teams were really that bad. Idk if yall know who Q50 is, but he reminds me of Q50, which is bad.
  12. I do wonder what Lemon's ceiling will be. I'm hoping it's not the type of pick we look back on and he's JSN level lol. But I wasn't really itching for a WR this year, I like Coker's trajectory
  13. Lemon was a hard one to think we’d passed on but I’m not opposed to it if there was a better player available. I just question how another o linemen was seen as the most impactful player we could get at 19. I hate to say it but even an elite LT isn’t the missing piece for the offense’s struggles. Bryce limitations shouldn’t limit us from drafting anyone imo, that’s just not acceptable. I’m not mad at the wr room currently, it just requires a lot positive growth from xl, Coker, tmac and horn. we’re in unison about the offense’s ceiling given the signal caller, with that being said and known, maybe invest some high draft capital into the side of the ball that’s been steadily improving with the least amount of investments.
  14. I also saw that he played basketball in HS and his mom is a yoga instructor. I get the athleticism now. Bball players usually translate well to the NFL.
  15. I'm seeing a lot of posts saying he's raw and he needs time however he's the 2nd graded LT by ESPN and the 14th overall prospect. I think he plugs in right away and plays on day 1.
  16. There is A LOT of talent on the board for R2. I know we’re eying Rodriguez and I truly hope we land him. If we don’t though, there are a lot of guys that would start this year and make an impact. McCoy (if we want another CB with major injury red flags) Terrell McDonald Rodriguez Hill Stukes Golday Haulcy Scott Hunter Parker
  17. When you watch his tape, you really have to overlook how raw he is to fall in love with him. I guess they thought that we have a good OLine coach and they're handing him a lump of clay. Crazy athlete, but man his tape isn't the prettiest. Has a lot to learn, technique wise.
  18. I think hes going to do well and it will help Bryce
  19. The safety Dillon or WR Lemon were popular with some people here, I wasn't totally sold on either of those but do want defense so it really depends on if we can either luck out or trade up to get someone that would be a year one impact on defense in round 2. If they double dip on offense tmrw I'll be pissed they didn't take Dillon or J-rod tonight
  20. Mature pick by the front office. The type of long-view pick a team like Ravens and Eagles would make
  21. Really like this picked with great value. Kid has huge upside. I bet we are finally not going to see huddle saying "can he plays LT" in this forum for the next decade.
