  1. Past hour
  2. The deadline for picking up 5th year options is before season 4, not after.
  3. We better be trying to get multiple years so if we get a new QB in 27 they'll be ready to go
  4. I don't think our TE group is bad at all but to get a beast in there would definitely be a boost. Wonder if Njoku is a good blocker? Might be a factor considering LT is up in the air.
  5. There’s meat on the bone as a pass rusher. I know there is, don’t know if he’ll get a shot but he’s a solid ST’r
  6. On the Canales doesn't use TE's talk. For the most part the bread and butter for TE's is the middle of the field or to the sideline is it not? I specifically remember Newton and Olsen being deadly on those quick outs to the sideline. Realistically neither is something that our starting QB has shown consistent success with 3 years in the league.
  7. (5) John Ellis on X: "REPORTS: Isaiah Simmons will return for the Panthers in 2026. Late in the Wild Card game v LAR, the former Clemson star executed one of the most clutch ST plays in team history. https://t.co/fxI4bAkzyB" / X
  8. I read your "big impression on people" as a primary factor. Like I said, I'm glad we did something and if it works out it will be worth every penny. But on simple prior on field value, we significantly overpaid for Phillips. I'm not as worried about Lloyd's deal as it's easy to get out of in two years if he isn't what we paid for. But it does worry me his former team didn't want to pick up his fifth year option coming off a stellar 2025 for him. We shall see.
  9. Fingers crossed for Bills but who knows he’s getting older maybe the Bucs will hamstring themselves with a bad contract.
  10. Thumbs up to a great signing of a player we really needed.
  11. I mean, he uses them here. Does he use them to the degree we used an Olsen? Haven’t seen it. I guess you could claim that is because we don’t have an Olsen. Or is it maybe we don’t have an Olsen because we don’t sufficiently value an Olsen. Or maybe we don’t value an Olsen because we don’t feel the QB can really utilize a TE the way an Olsen was utilized? And if Canales had more QB to work with he would change his M.O. I do not want to take TE at 19. If we do, I guess we’ll find out the answer to the secret. They did use Jimmy Graham some in Seattle. For a little while. I can’t even think of the name of their other TEs. PS yes Martz, or the GM that negotiated the swap, fuged up with the Olsen deal. But some coaches don’t want that much from their TE. Olsen was unhappy with the situation. If he had an Olsen would Canales trade him away? I would hope not.
  12. Phillips took a steep overpay that any other human in his shoes would have signed. But he is undoubtedly very talented. Lloyd looks to be a situation of he quickly realized the value of himself in his and his agents eyes did not align with the rest of the league based on the sample size. I mean when your top suitors are the mess that is the Bengals and the Panthers that doesn't make it a very difficult decision.
  13. You use the word primarily, did anyone actually make that claim? To say it wasn’t a factor, would be less than realistic. And then who is lying to themselves?
  14. There are worse options. I'm not bothered by Moore returning as long as the contract is basically bare minumum.
  15. I heard Morgan speak about what he wanted in a LB. Defensive captain. QB. A guy that could make plays using athleticism and instincts, wear the green dot, and command the respect of the other ten guys… If I find the clip I’ll post it. If you heard him say it and you have any ego at all you want to be that guy. I think Dan probably laid it on him.
  16. I'd actually be really interested to see Bryce with a beast of a TE like Njoku. We all know how much Shockey and Olsen meant for Cam in those early years. Haven't a safety blanket and matchup nightmare like Njoku actually would evolve this offense tbh (well, that and an actual QB)
  17. David Moore CARWide Receiver#83 Panthers re-signed WR David Moore. The financials of the deal were not immediately made available. Moore managed only four appearances for the Panthers in 2025 due to a serious elbow injury and was made a healthy inactive for the team’s Wild Card loss to the Rams. Familiarity with head coach Dave Canales and his veteran presence in the locker room were enough to warrant a new contract, although he is likely to play behind Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette, and Jalen Coker.
  18. The Panthers brought back three more of their own on Tuesday, adding depth to some key spots and keeping their special teams strong. Unrestricted free agents David Moore and Isaiah Simmons, along with restricted free agent Thomas Incoom, re-signed with the team https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-sign-three-more-of-their-own-free-agents-david-moore-isaiah-simmons-thomas-incoom
  19. Yeah he used Otton in his one season as a play caller. He just doesn't have much to work with here. I still see Tremble and Evans getting out on routes though and obviously JT was drafted to be that guy whether he works out or not...
  20. Umm the fug. They just changed yamals shot on target to a miss. Dropped to 75 cash out I'm pissed
  21. No I mean DC not wanting to use a receiving TE. He used Otton in Tampa when he was calling plays so I don't know where this is coming from. Drafting a receiving TE in JT also shows he is wanting one that can catch...
  22. The same place he got his jaw rearranged for the same mentality he showed in Las Vegas. If anyone deserves this it's Geno Smith.
  23. Yea, Spurs will have to push forward. Can't go into home stadium leg down 3 goals on aggregate.
