  1. Past hour
  2. I think he'll be fine in the long run. I remember Derrick Brown getting pushed around like he was on skates at first.
  3. Game status Tmac - questionable (calf) Hubbard - questionable (calf) Wharton - questionable (hammy) *all questionable were limited participants on Fri XL - out Saunders - out Pat Jones - out Wonnum- out
  4. Maybe he has an upset tummy after eating too many of those BOA sandwiches made out of smashed raccoon assholes and ground possum taints or whatever.
  5. Pretty sure he can't stop the run either.
  6. I mean, he's not wrong. Ain't no way an interim HC desperately trying to get the job long-term would've parted with CMC if he had any say in the matter.
  7. Wilks responded: Asked Friday about the comment, Wilks started off with praise, saying he has "a lot of respect for Baker. [He's a] tremendous football player, and he's doing a hell of a job with those guys down there. So nothing really to say beyond that. "I don't know how long you've been doing this," Wilks said to a reporter, "but I'm sure you're quite educated on it. I don't really think an interim coach has that much authority over personnel. If that's the case, I would've never gotten rid of our best player. Christian McCaffrey." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46387838/jets-wilks-jabs-back-mayfield-cut-carolina-claim
  8. yeah, it wasn't that crazy Bama roster or that old Miami roster.... but...in his 2 years as a starter at Bama 3 of his RBs went to the NFL 4 of his WRs went to the NFL 2 of his TEs went to the NFL 5 of his OL went to the NFL No one in college football had that around them. There is a reason McElroy, McCarron, Sims, Coker, Hurts, Tua and Bryce all had success.....they played w/ the best rosters in college football paired w/ the best coach. Not sure why recently, the narrative shifted on the Bama QBs being a bigger part of the puzzle than they ever were.
  9. Stop. In his best season his starting WRs were the #12 overall pick and a 2nd rounder. His starting TE and RB were drafted in the 3rd. That is absolutely ELITE skill position talent at the college level. The next season that was still good but a significant drop off, he still had that 3rd round TE. His starting RB would go on to be a #12 overall pick. He had another 3rd round WR at WR1. Definitely a little soft for Bama skill position talent but far from a bare cupboard, especially when you compare it to the talent surrounding most QBs at non-blue blood programs not to mention the huge gap in talent in the trenches.
  10. It's a very common misconception. Let's not pretend BY did not have top end college talent, but yeah ppl think he played with Jeudy, Waddley, Smith, Ridley, Ruggs. It's kinda crazy how BY just happened to miss that generational run on WR they had both before and after him.
  11. still better than XL
  12. This recent dunking ignores the reality that the Vikings have better targets and McCarthy has been ass.
  13. Outside of Jameson Williams who are these super pass catchers he had at Bama? His season at Bama is starting to look a bit more impressive as time goes on Metchie, Burton, Brooks, Latu, Bond, Prentice, Bolden are the only guys I can think of. None of them are doing anything now. Finding a true TE1 or WR2 to go along with TMac to finally give Bryce 2 options in a single season needs to be a priority like yesterday
  14. He sounds like a clown after.......making history not seen since the 70s. (last team to outgain their opponent by that yardage and get skunked to that extent). but I mean, BOA is pretty mellow. Always has been. I mean, it gets up when it needs to but I like the vibe in Charlotte. But we are what Cam criticized us for being before he got here.
  15. I don't think Grant is ever going to be a guy who gets good PFF scores. He's not a pass rusher and his pass rush score will probably always drag down his overall score.
  16. if you give good QBs, an OL and run game.....they make WRs. I mean, there is a long list of that occurring over and over and over. Again. Check the sales pitch for why we drafted Bryce. That was the salespitch because it is a reality. He just isn't it. Sure, you want to give every QB a crazy weapon. But most good QBs go through windows with meh talent and they aren't bottom barrel offenses because of the QB.
  17. Whatever imperfections remain for Bryce to work around, it wasn’t from lack of them trying. The overkill of investment in offense is like the bailing out the banks to me, lol. Can’t allow them to fail. Agree about the RB in the 4th. Not the finest use of assets, we have to hope he is worth it. I don’t remember what ILB we could have gotten at that point, but would say that is the one thing I think is questionable. I think the first three picks are gonna pay good dividends. McMillan looks like he will be a real beast in a year or two. I wasn’t totally thrilled going offense Again, but it looks like they nailed it.
  18. Today
  19. Well, that is the point. That WAS the sell. That isn't what we ended up getting.
  20. he's been great all year stats back it up again we got him for basically nothing. He doesn't have to be an All Pro for this to be a win for Dan Morgan
  21. found the thread you can peruse at your own time but I called this a home run trade at the time
  22. Depends on what you view as a needle mover. I think the offense would be definitively better with AT involved. Better enough to string together a bunch of wins? Highly unlikely. Luvu didn't want to be here. Which, coincidentally, neither in the end did AT.
  23. Florida got dealt a second huge blow to their season. Now they'll have to play the majority of the season without Barkov and Tkachuk. Barkov is expected to miss the entire season and with the new rules, If they put him on full LTIR, he can't play in the postseason at all.
