  2. Have to stop making everything about BY. They will and have been bringing in players to improve the TEAM, not just Bryce Young. Which is something they should have done BEFORE bringing in a rookie QB. Even Metchie is a generally good pickup at a position of need. He just happens to have played with BY in college. And that doesn't hurt his chances or the team's. Morgan just addressed the biggest areas of need on the team via free agency so they won't be reaching for a position of need in the draft. He's legit picking the best player available for the TEAM in the draft. The o-line was in shambles in 2023. He addressed it in 2024. The d-line was in shambles in 2024. He addressed it in 2025. The pass rush and linebackers were in shambles in 2025. He's addressed it in 2026. Unfortunately good young WRs don't hit the FA market, so can't just throw money at them. You have to draft them. I wonder what some would be saying if they'd spent the amount of cap on the offense that they spent on the defense in 2025 and 2026 - and then used both first round draft picks on defense. Would that have been better in your eyes? No. You would be complaining that the defense is too young to compete and more vets weren't brought in because they're trying to prop up BY. This team should be talented enough now to make some noise in the South. If BY is actually holding them back, then QB will be addressed in 2027. They benched him 2 games into their tenure and you think they're tied to his success. No. That doesn't compute. They're tied to the team's success. BY could throw for 5000 yards and if they're 4 - 13, head's will roll. TLDR: Their decisions aren't driven by making BY look good. They're trying to improve the team and win games. Period.

  4. I still firmly believe that Tepper still has his mandate of make Bryce work or get fired and because of that, it doesn't matter how badly he does... He'll get a long term deal in the 40-50m range and set back this franchise for a decade. Then the Teppers will have another QB infatuation and maybe they get it right then.
  5. Any chance Corey Thornton gets back fully healthy and nickel corner isn’t a need ?
  6. Upgrade him by a country mile by drafting Rodriguez
  7. He's not going to get fired, if anything happens and it's mostly a certainity at this point, he will be allowed to resign or move into a different role with the program.
  8. Don't think it hurts that much. IMO, not much of a dropoff from somebody like Gipson compared to Rozeboom. Regardless, I still think we are looking at an ILB in the first 3 rounds. There are quite a few interesting prospects between Rodriguez, Golday, and Hill Jr. that would be good 2nd round picks if they make it to us (Rodriguez might be a stretch since it seems like teams are falling in love with him). Kyle Louis and Lawson are worth a look also in the 3rd
  9. I think that is the first goal of pretty much every team. No one seeks to make it in via WC, in August anyway. You take what you can get, but you always set out to win your division. People look around at their division foes and say okay we can probably expect strong rushing attacks. So we’ll need a stout run D. Mandatory. Etc. We drafted TD basically to spy on Vick. We could do nothing with him up until then. It kind of helped but they were still putting it on us too often for a while. You have to match up to your division.
  10. This is the goal for this team. It all starts there. Success starts with winning the division every year at bare minimum. Once you do that then you can worry about owning the nfc. Do that then we can talk championships.
  11. Busy day tmrw so getting this out now.
  12. Did they sign him to help teach Baker how to slide? Cause sliding on the ground is how Roseboom ended every play
  13. It means they're going to be true to their board and draft the top player on the board as opposed to reaching for a lower graded player based upon need. It's that simple.
  14. If the draft falls this way, we take McDonald or Proctor. We also trade up for Allen or JRodz in the 2nd. Probably grab a Center in the middle rounds and rejoice.
  15. Yep don't over think it Dan if you want interior DL you take McDonald and call it a day.
  16. Magic, Sixers, and Heat all lost tonight (the three teams directly in front of the Hornets). We gotta get hot and beat some really good teams down the stretch.
  17. Magic lost at the buzzer. Hawks are going to win and raptors should as well. They definitely have a shot to get up to 6
  18. I hate to lose his productivity. I know he whiffed on a lot, but he had 122 tackles last year. Leading tackler on the team.
  19. Gonna pull a hornets and fire him and bring back Matt Daugherty?
  20. They're keeping him dangling while they figure out if they can hire someone better.
  21. SIXTY FIVE tackles on the year. These other DT don’t have that in career. On a team with Styles, Reese, and Downs McDonald was the 5th leading tackler while eating blockers.
  22. Allegedly. We need to stop condemning people of being sexual predators just because they were accused of it.
  23. cover 3 zone with DB's 15-20 yards off, double team #95, attack #21
  24. I always looked at it like, you have to win your division. You build your team to do that, primarily, and secondary to that would be the rest of the league. But the division is what you have to win. As we just saw, a losing record gets you a home playoff game if you can just beat your division foes. 1st goal, every year.
