  1. Past hour
  2. I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles. Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
  3. At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C. The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
  4. Bingo. The dude is a baller no doubt and I'd love to have him in a vacuum but like you said he's gonna fetch a haul so the only teams it really makes sense for are teams with an overall good roster who they feel an edge rusher like Crosby would out them over the top in terms of competing for SBs. I'd be looking st teams like the Pats, Bucs, Ravens, Seahawks, etc. It wouldn't be shocking to see him moved. He may be more valuable to a rebuilding team in the form of the draft assets he'd fetch than he is on the field. He should still have several more good years in the tank at 28 but by the time the Raiders can reasonably expect to rebuild he's gonna be on the decline.
  5. Crosby will garner a haul in a trade. I would be reluctant to make that trade because of the following: 1. Our overall roster is awful. We cannot afford to be trading away valuable draft capital. 2. He isn't the best fit(IMO) for the scheme that Evero runs. I love the player but it would really need to be at a reasonable deal and I think he is likely to garner an unreasonable price if he gets traded.
  6. In terms of need, EDGE is currently #1. Our pass rush is near league worst levels. However, I don't subscribe to "need" based drafting. BPA all day. We do need to dramatically upgrade over Scourton, Jones, Wonnum and Umanmielen. That is likely in the running for the NFL's worst two deep. Not saying all those players are bad, but I am saying 100% of those players are 2nd or 3rd stringers.
  7. Mike Evans. I know that feels like the easy choice but it really is. Like 10 seasons straight of 1000 yard seasons ceiling.
  8. He has been awesome and will be an absolute stud when the game slows down for him and he starts playing a bit less soft. Can't wait to see this dude ball out for us over the years
  9. I would be. As long as we don't touch our 1st this year you can seriously upgrade of defense with a first round rookie ILB and Maxx Crosby
  10. I just looked up his age and he's 28. I thought he was older.
  11. C'mon bro this shouldn't have to be debated lol. How many lb's came out last year? How many acclimated at Carson Schwewinger's rate? He's not the example, he's the exception. You can look at Wallace and tell he's not there yet. He's 22 .... and still "developing".
  12. some divisions just well really suck & some are like the NFC West or NFC North .a team like the Panthers would be at the bottom or near the bottom of those two aforementioned divisions .so yes i can see how this could be a trap game for a team like the Seahwaks who are in a much better division than the Panthers ...just saying
  13. Today
  14. This is huge may not be a trap game but this plays a major part in what they want to do. If we can get some pressure on Sam we know what he does with pressure coming hit and heavy. Also we may be able to take the top off their defense a backup safety trying to stop TMac or Cooker over the top or forcing him to play the backend should allow us to run the ball somewhat effectively. Either they allow some runs or we take some shots and if Bryce and whoever can connect deep we’ll be in business for another big time win against a top notch opponent. Might not be a trap game but health travel game plans all play a major role in each weeks game plan and this week might be leaving our way. We’re missing some replaceable pieces they’re missing key anchors to the offense and defense major difference time to solidly ourselves at one of the top teams in the nfc tomorrow fellas buckle up.
  15. Yes. If I am not mistaken, we need to sign Coker to the ERFA tender and insist that XL spends his spring and summer at a WR camp and not Coon huntin on his four wheeler. XL was raw when we picked him--which is why I wanted to go another direction--and we are seeing how raw. He is basically learning a position. The Panthers will make their move in 2026 to be an NFL powerhouse behind Bryce. Bryce needs intelligent WRs who catch the ball. That said, we need a solid #2 to challenge XL and make cutting him easy, if necessary. A #2 WR (intented to be a #1 by now) with under 400 yards is embarrassing. On offense, you have to ask, "Where can we get better?" In my view, #2 WR, TE (although they are improving) and maybe C (again, if we re-sign Mays, he is trending up and at 26, entering his prime--I say stay with him and find competition later in the draft (not good for C). OL depth maybe? In other words, XL is a glaring weak spot.
  16. Love to see the boys get back to winning ways.
  17. I agree to a point, and I've also said something similar. The thing is though, it's arguable that some other positions are a higher priority, and we just can't be in the business of passing up higher graded players at other positions to fill others, especially when we haven't even given current players the chance to pan out after only a season. I mean, at some point, if our guys show a higher consistency of flashes, you have to let them develop. I'm not averse to drafting an LB (EDGE or tackling machine) first, but they have to be definitely better than others at other positions.
  18. That’d be a crazy good trade for us and they need a young WR to groom after testing JM to Jax. But we’d have to include more like a second round pick as well would anybody be ok with that kind of trade?
  19. I'd take this trade so damn fast
  20. Playing a divisional leader is a trap game? Who knew?
  21. What makes him a cornball and why do you care about someone’s personal life this is about players football performances. What corny or cool things he does in his free time is all on him idgaf what any player does in his free time let’s stay focused on his football playing more then personal life bc worrying about what a player does in personal time is CORNY as hell!!!
  22. Draft a WR this year when the value is there. Obvious not i the first round because we need a defensive stud with that pick, but productive WRs can be found in just about any round. Make XL earn his keep; just don't trot him out there and hope he develops. Have a talented, hungry rookie breathing down his neck. At best we would be four deep at WR and at worse we can cut/trade XL and already have his replacement.
  23. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery. I wonder how many games he missed this season compared to the "injury prone" Peyton Wilson?
  24. No. The Panthers are not a losing team or considered an easy win.
  25. Edge always seems to take two to three years, so hard to know if either of the guys from last year will improve enough to be true difference makers. Id probably still draft one and invest in a free agent thats proven.
