  1. Past hour
  2. I was more getting at the idea that a top pick isn't necessarily going to land a better QB prospect. We can’t evaluate talent.
  3. trade young for anything we could get....sanders.....and bring in some qbs avaiilable and just play rookie udfa qbs and or sanders rest of season see if any show any signs if not draft best qb this year maybe even 2 qbs this year
  4. The throws Bryce is comfortable attempting are short over the middle and down the sidelines. Short over middle obvious reasons, sidelines because you can get one on one coverage and the sideline protects you from monsters. I actually think that’s Bryce’s best throw, that soft sideline go that Thielen used to run from the Y or X position. His throw chart looks like a shallow, wide U, a couple of outlier throws not withstanding. Problem is the person that was reading the coverages for him was thielen in motion. This is all I watched during the game in Atlanta last year. It was clear as day what Adam was doing. That’s why I knew Bryce would implode without him and surely the coaches and thielen had to know that as well.
  5. Bryce throws short middle a lot, within ten yards, mostly on crossing routes when Chuba has cleared a linebacker. These passes are not threatening and defenses give them up in the modern NFL because they don’t work in the 20s and defenses can’t realistically protect against them and cover deep. when Bryce goes intermediate middle, that’s when he gets people killed. Poor renfrow has enough health problems without that safety rearranging his guts. Bryce also almost got sanders killed on a deep route, but he was able to drop at the last second.
  6. I mean it's more than too early he has played a single game lol. He could be another Anthony Richardson or he could take his lumps and become a better QB for it. Here in Carolina there are multiple problems but I'm tired of the hit dog mentality. There are QB's who could at least have this team competitive. I've never expected a winning season but we don't have to be so downbad we are getting blown out by previously 4 win teams.
  7. Good oline, WR options, young TEs and good RB group. It's not perfect but a decent QB should be putting up 20+ points a game. No idea about Ward yet but a decent backup level QB should be competitive most weeks even with a limp D. It just feels that way because the scheme is so limited with the current QB ane his limitations.
  8. It’s true but last year was the same deal. Too early to tell but Ward would not be successful in Carolina either.
  9. Today
  10. Build the damn team, this team is so qb thirsty it’s been draining the talent around the team for sometime now if Morgan can’t draft well replace him, Canales should also be on the hot seat too. Find a philosophy or identity, build it through the draft and free agency, then go QB hunting we been ass backwards as a franchise since 2020
  11. I also really have a tough time imagining LaNorris Sellers asking to be taken out of a game because he's tired.
  12. XL is Shenault, except he can't return kicks/punts and has the elusiveness of a deer in headlights
  13. You say it's mediocre before this CFB season has been played. There will be a star to rise
  14. Agreed! If by downfield, you mean throwing the ball 20 rows deep on 4th and 1 or throwing the ball way out of bounds on open wheel routes
  15. I can't watch 16 more games of this - you're literally not even trying to win games and what are you actually tanking for? This is a mediocre QB Draft class. You'd have to get yourself excited about hugely flawed prospects.
  16. Why do we have to pick ONE problem? This team is poo. BY is a bad QB AND we have one of the worst DC in NFL history. Both are kinda a big thing.
  17. This is true. But I don't think you can really do that with Bryce. Week 1 was extremely consistent with what Bryce has been each season entering a year and overall as a QB. I think the real liar is just the anomaly week 18 game last year. Without that one random game.......Bryce Young's career to date really isn't really debatable at all. He doesn't belong on the field. That's at best a backup. The one game doing a LOT of lifting given how many other games are out there.
  18. Yeah Kyler definitely hasn't lived up to billing. But this is a tough league. If a guy doesn't want greatness there's nothing you can do. But even the guys who don't want that and spend their days playing video games instead of studying film can shine brighter more often than someone who is just physically outmatched altogether. Unfortunately we have learned this in real time. But I agree entirely about first overall picks in general. You don't need to be in that slot to get a decent starting QB. That's another tough lesson the Panthers are learning. Anywho. We'll see how our head coach has his team prepared this Sunday. I just want to stop looking horrible early in the season when everything is still at stake. These late season runs when we are already eliminated do nothing for me and they have clearly done nothing for our team culture as previously suggested.
  19. Rather than his physical stats, I was kinda alluding to the fact that Kyler hasn't lived up to the hype either. Although, he has had some modest success for short stints. The thing is, both teams could have probably had the same success rates with third round picks as QBs over first rounders. Yanno?
  20. I'd argue his value is at rock bottom currently. And hell no to all those QBs you listed. Sorry, man. The tank is here. Embrace it for the 2026 #1
  21. They arent going to do anything after 1 game besides hopefully gameplan better. Start serious scouting efforts
  22. Well, someone had to take a bullet for the fiasco in Jacksonville. I’m just not sure that ‘football communications coordinator’ sends that message.
