  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah but if they wait they give up nothing. A little agent team collusion sets that up. This was done too close to the deadline to cut anyway. I am not blaming us, it is set up for that to happen with this calendar the NFL uses. It happens everywhere and we have taken advantage of it too. I guess it all comes out in the wash. Let’s get one of theirs.
  3. Maybe as a #1 back but a backup. I think would be good.
  4. I think he is still good in space and catching the ball
  5. Carolina Panthers linked to Saints star Alvin Kamara after Rico Dowdle exodus At the right price I would love it.
  6. This seems like the appropriate response to this signing.
  7. Competition in a WR room with only 2 viable starters (imo). Maybe he makes the team better. Maybe hes not here in September. I dont know.
  8. RFA tender? Didn’t he get traded on his rookie contract? That wasn’t an option, right?
  9. I feel like XL is square peg round hole with Bryce. I feel like he could thrive with a QB who pushes the ball down field and can throw a slant
  10. Hell move Ickey to RT, that's more power favor and fits Icky better. Freeling looks to have the rare LT traits, so cute.....I don't think he makes it 19, those with legit LT are like QB with elite traits, they go very early even too early and 8th is as far as they fall.
  11. XL needs to spend a couple weeks with BY and learn each other. I think XL will do what's right this off-season, cause its fork in panther career time....
  12. This is a competition signing and a favor to Bryce for an old friend. That's it people. Get a grip. He may be something or he may be nothing. He will get his chance in camp.
  13. I mean that deep and time for competition.... I feel this is like the Brenton Bersin deal, the team needs to field a roster in which bersin doesn't make the roster. That goes for Moore, the team needs to bring in enough talent so Moore is cut.. Its nice to have a deep WR room after years of Mcnutt and dj Clark and 74 year old Adam was the best WR clearly. This draft has 10 WRs in the top 50 on many smart players boards, so.......... cue the BPA peeps
  14. Metchie had a great year when Bryce won the heisman. He gives the Panthers some deep options. He does not have to catch passes if he can keep the safeties honest, but I expect him to post his highest numbers here. I imagine he is signing for vet min, and probably was coerced by Bryce. I have not given up on XL like some here, but I am frustrated and pissed off about his play. I now doubt we draft a WR, but there are so many uncertainties (Coker's health, XL's play, Metchie, etc).
  15. yucs gave him MORE than the Panthers would have..... I mean that's a statement and I hate how well he knew this D system..... Here I thought it was joke about allowing his agent to talk to teams, they found a team willing to give more, so maybe he did have trade market, just not fast enough.
  16. 20 ?Q!?!!??! that seems unlikely right now unless injuries hit some LT across the league. I know that Trent WIlliams was rumored to get cut. The best solution maybe one year deal and try again next year. Green Bay has always done great with developing OLmen and Im sure teams are pointing that out.....If he leaves the mecca, will he still play at a high level? I mean 10-12 for one year plus extra fluff.....I know it would take more "hernaiy" magic... still this stuff happens each year, agent/players/family think the market will _______ and its far less...best to do another one year and show them you are 20+ worth...
  17. Yesterday
  18. They really should do that. We are cap strapped by this but we have to get this situation squared away.
  19. I like the idea of taking Freeling at 19. If he would prove to be left tackle capable that would allow Ickey to be moved inside. That would give the Panthers contract leverage if they chose not to pay top left tackle pay for Ickey.
  20. My sleeper plan signed with the da bears... Got to hope more will be added....I mean the draft has a deep group, just not many pure LTs. The deal is Panthers need a near future RT and this draft seems to be a great time...
  21. He supposedly wants 20m/yr. But now they don’t think he will get it because the dude from the Giants resigned at like 15/yr. Keep in mind both of those are less than we are paying Moton. I would offer 3/48. Break a bunch up into a bonus and spread it out.
  22. A lot of negativities about this signing. Everyone knows TMAC and Coker are our top receivers. Having someone you're familiar with is not a bad thing. If he pans out, we have a good top three. It's not like we broke the bank to bring him here. Let's see what comes of it before we start assuming.
