  1. Past hour
  2. And trending downward in all of them. They're paying in the rearview mirror. As the offensive pieces that were carrying Purdy fall to the wayside the truth is emerging. And yet they still paid him like he's an MVP candidate. They're fuged. I'll be shocked if Purdy hasn't peaked.
  3. They paid him because of his stats since he became a starter. He's first in YPA, 4th in Yards, 4th in TD's and first in QBR.
  4. Yesterday
  5. Anyone else going through the motions until the ECF?
  6. Yeah, I mean Goff is a 2nd tier QB too. Odds are he will never see Superb Owl success either.
  7. Oh, that was pretty obvious. IMO, he needs to prove he is healthy and prove he is actually a top 5 CB. The people that are already calling that shot are just absolutely delusional, IMO.
  8. I mean he's above average. It's just that above average isn't going to get you anywhere when above average demands 50% of the cap or whatever.
  9. He is a game manager--average. Unless you have a Mahommes or Allen or Burrow--trade your starting qb and draft one. I could pour the money in my defense and OL and draft a promising young QB. Wow.
  10. @LinvilleGorgethank you! Stick around here for the rest of playoffs. It’s fun watching NC pro sports crush it.
  11. Purdy is a great fit for the Kyle Shanahan system of never winning the Super Bowl though.
  12. Safe to say the front office thinks horn has made it lol
  13. Exactly, and I know I’ve been one of the more vocal anti-Bryce people, but for me it’s literally not even about him or what I think of him. If you don’t have a legit Top 10 QB, you’re so much better off just signing a vet for 20-30 million for a couple seasons while trying to find a new QB in the draft and hope you hit. But spending over $50 million a season on a QB who doesn’t have the ability to drag inferior talent to the playoffs is a terrible idea because you then struggle to build a good enough team around them that is needed to contend with that type of QB. Hell, if anything maybe the best case scenario is Bryce just looks serviceable again next year, so we get him to agree to like $35 million a year extension and then he blows up in year 4 and we have a bargain for a few more years.
  14. Yeah I was in ATL for that final game to win the division. That was my question if winning the division gets you in and then they seed based off of record or if record will determine everything?
  15. Hubbard and BC have "made it", IMO. Tremble and Horn, TBD.
  16. I think Purdy has earned JAG+ status. Debatable 2nd or 3rd tier guy.
  17. They are already starting to have to make moves and re-tool. TBD if that will be successful or not. I will say, all things considered, this isn't a terrible contract. Way better than I was expecting it to be. Would have been better around $45-50 mil AAV. Curious to see the structure.
  18. Tank for Tua Tank for Trevor Suck for Luck All of those worked out so well.
  19. Purdy's stats last year: 65.9% completion rate (17th in the NFL) 3864 yards (10th) 20 TDs (tied for 15th) 12 INTs (tied for 4th most) 96.1 passer rating (13th) They just paid a total JAG starter like he's an MVP caliber QB.
  20. in 2014 we won the division with a losing record. Haven't checked but with the new rule we could have been left out
  21. Nikishin shoots a 100 mph rocket that hits Bob in the helmet and makes him pee his pants.
  22. It’s not even the players they got. Pick wise, they got a massive haul for us to jump from 9 to 1 when Young was so risky. If we took Stroud, I’d feel a bit differently but that haul for Young was not good for us. The fact that the Bears may not have drafted great is not the point. They could have taken Jayden Daniels and Jalen Carter and we’d be having nightmares over the trade.
  23. Just wait till we do the same thing with Bryce, if a team re-signs their QB, they are always at the top of the market, there is no chance we re-sign him for anything less than $50 million. And while I still won’t root for Bryce to fail, I don’t think he’ll ever be worth paying him that kind of money so I almost hope he does fail to just save ourselves from doing that. We’re in a lose-lose situation unless he shocks the world and shows to be a legit Top 10 QB, and I don’t see that happening.
  24. Yeah, honestly we need Bryce to boom or bust. Being anchored to a decent starter getting paid like an elite franchise QB is honestly worse than needing a QB.
