  1. Past hour
  2. Also this from Joe Person... So it relates to his time with the Hornets
  3. I don't pay attention to gambling or gambling laws much so I have no idea what makes it illegal in this particular case. Still, an active head coach and player at the same time...wow
  4. Bring out the QB checklist, just run through it and see what jumps out to you Accuracy/Placement Decision Making Pocket Presence Arm Strength Readings/Progressions Mechanics Footwork Football IQ Mobility Elusiveness Physical Toughness Mental Toughness Leadership
  5. Unless some drastic happens I think we keep Bryce his final year and probably pick up that 5th year option. We sign a higher ceiling vet like Lance, Zack Wilson, Howell etc... Young will be the starter next year but have a little pressure with the better backup situation. If the wheels fall off we switch it over to the backup and either try to trade Bryce or let him be our backup his final year. This is the path I see. The other path would be Bryce picking up his level of play and we just sign another old vet or keep Dalton as the backup. It will be interesting to see how bad Dalton is if he gets some playing time these couple weeks. If he looks horrible it will force us to get a better option next year regardless of Bryce's play.
  6. I mean, Bryce Young is ahead of Trevor in that biggest QB bust in the last 20 years race you speak of. Trevor is exactly the same dude that played at Clemson.
  7. The guy was extrapolating his best career game to a year of stats to say hes a 1400 yard guy. But we have real stats to look at.
  8. There are several reasons you shouldn't consider a TE in the 2026 draft, especially during the first two days. 1) Canales offenses do not place a very high priority on the TE. You can look at his coaching history to notice this trend. 2) We've spent back to back #1 picks on WR's (TMac/XL). We also have players who have shown potential like Jalen Coker and Brycen Tramayne at the same position. All of our RB's can catch the ball out of the backfield. There's only so many touches these guys are going to get per game, especially if we run the ball 50% of the time (which we should). I can't see any TE making major contribution to our offense over the next couple of seasons. 3) Our defense has too many needs to take a TE over a top defensive prospect. We have 11 sacks on the year and 6 of those came last week against the worst team in the NFL. We have 6 INTs in 2025. One player (J.Horn) has half of them and 2 of those also came last week. None of our safties has an INT this season. Our LB's are looking better recently., but we really could use an impact player at ILB if we continue to run this 3-4 scheme. 4) BY is still an underwhelming presence at QB. I'd rather spend a high choice on a QB than a TE based on our current passing game.
  9. "illegal gambling" translation is "the government wasn't getting their cut"
  10. Damn Hard to imagine only two people involved in something like this so I wonder if there will be more arrests coming. My memory isn't what it used to be but I'm not sure I remember a story of an active professional head coach being arrested before, and alongside a player for another team is wild.
  11. The problem for Jags fans is that he isn't that far ahead of Bryce. That is not what you want for your "generational QB." Trevor is currently on pace to be the biggest QB bust of the last 20 or so years, IMO. Not that he won't be in the league or anything but this was supposed to be a generational guy. He is barely league average. No matter, though. If the path keeps being forged, Arch Manning will be saying "hold my beer" in the near future.
  12. At the end of the day, as fans, you want two things in rooting for an NFL team: 1-wins 2-A fun to watch product It's year 3 so positions are hardened/even more difficult to sway for Bryce. And the debate it tired. And it's still not that much fun to watch. Fans are in the sh*t or get off the pot mode, because honestly, it's a boring product. He's not a scrambler, he doesn't have the cannon, we don't have burners...we don't really have any superstars. *Potential in McMillan. Thing is, I think he's close to a year-4 lock due to Tepper and circumstances. Winning cures all so that's path A. Path B, we end up between 8 to 6 wins but he still is in this middle-ish/debatable ground, we have a 4th go-around but with a different backup plan. Path C, the wheels fall off, there is no year 4. Path B seems likely so brace yourselves.
  13. got to keep the Bills O off the field and let Rico get us in the endzone. The only thing the Bills actually do okay on D is apply pressure in the pass game. So you can't let them get up (or it could end up lopsided)
  14. Jags got handicapped because every coach was going to be forced and tied to Trevor (who is average and plays the game a very specific way). So while you can do worse than Trevor, every coach that was going to come in would be forced into his flavor of average. NFL success is largely about fit. Players, scheme, and coaches all fitting together. It's why bad to average players can suddenly look good in the right home/team. You never want to handicap your team w/ a huge contract and force everyone's hand....for an average player. *and Bryce isn't in Trevor tier of QB. He is in one ahead of Bryce.
  15. I miss the good ole days of gambling, before it was cool to do and glorified by every sports media outlet in existence.
  16. One comment on there said they couldn’t have won the cowboys game without Bryce, I guess Rico doesn’t exist?
  17. But don't worry, when we run it, it will be 60% with Chuba. #Winning
  18. Absolutely. They didn't have a full offseason with us and they are just simply not NFL roster caliber players. PS level, yes. I get being frustrated with Bryce. I am too. I get being upset with not having a better backup than Dalton. I generally disagree but I at least understand. But pining for XFL/UFL/CFL caliber guys....this is the poo I don't understand. Nor the pining for Fields or other various examples of CLEARLY non-NFL caliber QB's. Just because we are bad at QB doesn't mean we should literally start spamming every single available body at the position until we get a good game. I honestly believe that is how some of these people here would operate.
  19. Run the ball. Bills run d sucks. Run it.
  20. Bills have the 31st ranked run D. My prediction is Canalas gets ultra pass happy with Andy
  21. Well they have faced Dalton a bunch before when he was with Cincy. He is 4-2 lifetime against them.
