  1. Past hour
  2. The Giants are still flailing around in the mess he made up there too. Dude was an atrocious GM and just caught lightning in a bottle with those bargain basement free agents going into 2015 and his ego convinced him he could replicate that over and over again while he annihilated rosters.
  3. I rewatched the final, game winning drive yesterday and was looking for the perfect place to post this. Starting on the 4th and 5... Horn fights through a PI to catch a beautiful pass to keep the drive alive. Next play, they bring him in motion and run Etienne behind him with TMac and Tremayne both throwing nice blocks for him (2:10 on the clock). Next play, Evans for a TD! Fitzgerald for the PAT. First play on defense, Thornton has a hellova pass breakup! ALL ROOKIES! SEVERAL UDFA'S! The future of the franchise is in good hands! Edit: Tremayne is not a rookie, he came off Washington's PS. But since he was a UFA who never played, I'm counting him.
  4. That’s right. I was too exhausted to come back and specify. The Bryce investment permeated every aspect of this team and it is difficult to have any discussion without that being at least tangental to the practically any team related topic. I mean he is always lurking in the background.
  5. Same guy involved with last year's picks people are judging Morgan on.
  6. 2020 was easily better. 50 less yards in 2 fewer games with 10 more TDs. Personally I also think 2016 was a better year because of usage Whether career or whatever though 2023 was a great year for him.
  7. If you watch any of the draft stuff it very much looks like they are working in tandem. I like the fit ( no pun intended ) Morgan making sure these guys are actual football players and dawgs and the PFF guys making sure we are getting productive guys by their metrics. IMO seems like they found a good balance. I don't think the analytical side was so robust before this past draft. If that is the case I don't see why we couldn't have at least similar drafts going forward.
  8. godalmight I am not sure why this drives me crazy but for somebody that is supposedly "media savvy he cannot fuging speak and the constant touching and rubbing himself is some weird nervous tic. A simple dale carnagie course would correct all of this "Um, its um yeah uh,..........." https://twitter.com/alexzietlow05/status/1976021640891990443
  9. First I heard of that, I would have liked him even less. He was a scout himself. I think Marty would have listened to the scouts. the thing that got me about his big catch radius and height obsession was the height, he chased that because Cam was sailing some throws and he wanted taller WRs. Remaining blind to the fact that the ball would be high relative to the aim point. A higher aim point doesn’t help you there. You’d have to be pretending you were throwing to Smitty all the time for that to work.
  10. He was drafted in 2012. I'm talking the 2011 draft. We drafted Cam then a bunch of guys who flat out didn't belong in the NFL.
  11. I didnt see it as whining about Bryce as much as asking is this year an anomaly in the 5 years Dan has been a part of the drafting process is it an outlier. There seems to be a lot of questions about whether or not repeating this type of draft is possible, and was it Dan, or bringing in a PFF guy that was ultimately responsible for the draft results.
  12. Gettleman basically wrecked a team that should have been a dynasty solely due to ego. He, among other things: Forced Jordan Gross into retirement after 2013 Cut literally all of our receivers after the 2013 Tagged and then cut Josh Norman, losing him for nothing, solely due to a spat with his agent Cut all of our cornerbacks before the 2016 season We basically destroyed our offensive line, wide receiver corps, and secondary in single seasons. We only got through that because of the core that had been set up in pre-Gettleman drafts. Dude was actual trash as a GM and flamed out in NY for a reason.
  13. The way PFF does their grades gives you a general idea on a player but it doesn’t tell the whole story. If somebody is consistently in the 50s or so they suck. If there is a one-off high or low it can be easily skewed.
  14. After we drafted Cam #1 overall in 2011 I honestly think we may have fared better simply throwing darts at the draft board for the rest of our picks. Couldn't have fared much worse.
  15. Love DB...if his pass rush ability ever matches his ability to stop the run....good lord.
  16. First time hearing this. Jfc
  17. Today
  18. No they just are fantasies pooped out by PFF Solid play and lots of upside doesn't justify that grade.
  19. I heard that Greg will be calling the Dallas game!
  20. Gettleman specifically did not and there are multiple stories of him changing his mind at the last second and being like “I’m the GM it’s a gut call blah blah blah” all the scouts had told Devonte Adams he was going to be a panther, then at the last second gettleman decided he wanted Benjamin exclusively because of the catch in the national championship game. he did the same thing with andrew thomas in New York.
  21. It’s that psychology environment he was raised in. I say that with half snark and half sincerity.
  22. Stats may say the complete opposite, but I swear Bryce is better and shows great glimpses when he doesn't have time to think. Feel like down the stretch last year he was one of the best against blitzes, but also may have to do with opening the middle of the field up. The throw in the video, he had one play here and no time to think about it. If he could play loose, I think this is closer to the Bryce we get. I think his "super processing" is actually not the strength people wanted it to be, but his biggest hinderance. He overthinks, he screws up.
