I feel we need QB too, my guy Cole Payton is making $$$$ at the combine.....I think he's going 3-5 now, Id even say lock it up. (he's up 70 spots in mocks...) You have been killing the panther draft mhs. I swear the ICKEY injury killed dang near the whole plan. If not for that, I feel you could make a decent case to draft TY Simpson, sure he doesn't have many fans on the huddle. Fact is he the clear #2(I like Cole right next to him.....), and if you have the chance to add the #2 QB at 19 in a modern draft, its perfectly ok. Plus Dan was FA fill, we know cobert is back unless some team gives him 6 million. He is finally healthy this off-season for the first time in years. Dan doesn't have space, but I still fill that 2nd wave of "cheap" options, Dan will collect a few and thus the draft will change.

Dan was very good here

"Bryce is my guy"... "I'm a big Bryce fan".... I know- "Its the GM bas, he wouldnt toss...midget toss BY in front of the bus".... He also will be looking for a new job if he doesn't bring in legit 6'0+ 200 LBs+ QB talent....
-
As much as I dislike Bryce, no. Too many needs elsewhere and it looks like this dumb team is going to ride Bryce for another year. I've been saying I would like to take a QB in a mid-round, but now I'm thinking maybe a 6 or 7th rounder plus a free agent is the right approach, then go big next year.

Panthers give Ashawn Robinson permission to seek trade

Classic case of a player getting cut because of the price tag, not the performance. A’Shawn was a strong free-agent pickup for us and has been very solid the past two seasons. At the end of the day, though, it’s an easy business decision — moving on from an age 31-year-old player to free up $10+ million in cap space makes financial sense, even if it’s tough from a football standpoint -

Your guys are going to have to talk me into this "DL" need/want. Panthers lost crumdey cause they had 6/7 DLmen ahead of him, 2 of which was nearly always inactive each GameDay. They seem to like Harrison-hunter and Ray is back for cheap if they want. Cam Jackson is back after a second off-season. I know you always want to improve, but DL(-edge) to me seems far down the need/want. They got a solid starting 3 and young talent behind them. They only had 4-5 active on GameDay, cause dbrown plays the whole dang game. *Now* if you want to say NT, they haven't had one in three years as a 3-4 team.....that's the most important spot in the old 3-4..... But a rookie NT is not normal, cause you need a 27 year old 375 man-beast ala wilfork or Gilbert brown.... Team just has too many holes... -
It feels like he has learned from that first year as GM and is not just looking at athleticism anymore

Who says Love will be bpa at 19? You cannot go by mock drafts or someone else's rankings. Even if he was bpa there's a reason he would drop and that's the fact he's a RB. No, we are not going to take a RB in round 1. Ask Marty Hurney how many wins CMC added to this team.

I appreciate the transparency but you're basically telling me you're forced to tailor your offense around your limitations at QB. -

I was hoping one of he or Hill would be available at 51. I'm honestly not sure either will be. -
I'm not 100% convinced with this, for example he drafted XL based on athletic traits. XL only had one year of production at USC. I'll at least give him credit for drafting T-Mac based on production. Overall, Morgan has drafted more contributors to this team during his tenure than Fitterer. I remain hopeful he'll continue to upgrade the roster.

Yeah I like Golday. I think his best fit, unfortunately for us, is as a SAM in a 4-3. Kind of like a Chad Greenway. -
I think no matter what the saints are getting a stud, there's a good pool of 13 guys.... they could trade out, but given love may be there among other studs, I think they stay put and just get one...

Yeah I'm not sure what more fans can currently want. We are trending up with a bright young core who is only going to get better. We started off terrible but are on a hot streak now that everyone is healthy. We won 9 in a row, beat some of these top tier teams, and like you are saying are 17-2 with out starters playing. We also have a lot of draft capital moving forward. Our coach seems to be getting comfortable too.

I was hoping Golday might fall to the 3rd for us with an average combine, but doesn't look like that's gonna happen now. -

I’m on the sign Matt Milano and draft Anthony Hill Jr train. Our identity is good LB play. Make it happen. -
He’d have fit right in with Pearce Jr.

Me too. And his guiding principle of finding guys that love football seems pretty elemental, but people lose sight of stuff like that. He is aware of the importance of culture. We will find something out this year. The 2024 draft was pretty off. I have said why I think it went that way. Whatever the reason, it wasn’t good. The draft last year seemed to kill it. Now, Tillis admitted that with all those utter holes to fill it is not as difficult to find contributors with multiple picks. And they did. We are nearing the point where the holes are filled and we will need to upgrade from a higher level of talent than the first couple of years. We still have enough needs that I expect him to find multiple contributors again but it is becoming a bigger challenge. Can he get a future star at 19? Upgrade positions with a 4th round pick? Make wise and effective FA decisions? It gets harder.

I'm really rooting for Morgan. Loved him as a player and he just seems like a really good dude.

If edge is still a lb, then yeah 3 is about right.

Coaching at Michigan seems like it requires a prerequisite of mistreating women. Good grief.

The team is really high on Cam Jackson too. He flashed in limited reps and is way more athletic than I thought someone his size would be. Rookie contract only pushes him to get more reps amd let Robinson go.
