I disagree: Red lines are the trending line. Red columns are the first game of each season.
-
yeah, I wish NextGen wouldn't skip random games. For whatever reason they didn't do his week 17 game. In fact, the 2 games they didn't do for him appear to be both the Tampa Bay games. Other Tampa game isn't there either. Everything else is there.

So, Is Bryce Playing this Week or Nah?

Theilen came back and Bryce had him. Which he was lost for Andy after the first game, or am I wrong on that? And people are so overrating most of those Bryce games. There were a couple of good ones and a very good one. Of his basically two complete very good games. That Atlanta game in that stretch and the Dallas game this year being the complete ones. Maybe I missed one but the 2023 Green Bay game was really a very good 4th quarter and a average 1st half. Maybe I missed another but that NYG Europe game was nothing to brag about yet people did. Just sayin. I mean you can name his really nice games on one hand. Out of how many now? 33? 34? Something like that. -
So, the goal that should not have been a goal.... https://www.nhl.com/news/carolina-hurricanes-colorado-avalanche-coach-challenge-x1595 Challenge Initiated By: Carolina Type of Challenge: Missed Game Stoppage Event – High-Sticking the Puck Result: Original call confirmed – Goal Colorado Explanation: The Situation Room supported the Referee’s call on the ice that Parker Kelly’s stick was not above the normal height of his shoulders when he contacted the puck at 15:31 of the second period (4:29 elapsed time) – 17 seconds prior to his goal. The decision was made in accordance with Rule 80.1. Penalty: 2:00 minor penalty: Delay of Game – Unsuccessful Challenge ------------------------------------------------------------ How the challenge was interpreted as a high stick challenge is beyond me. What I cannot find is what/how RBA challenged the goal and how it was reviewed as a high stick goal when Stevie Wonder could see the hand extending off Kelly's stick, essentially grabbing at the puck and it went by Freddie.

And the QB's below him are; Bo Nix, CJ Stroud, Spencer Rattler, Michael Penix Jr., Cam Ward, Carson Wentz, Dillon Gabriel, Geno Smith and Tua Tagovaila

This is from NFL.com site as well. have at it.

Know it’s one of very few deep balls connected but it was week 17 last year vs bucs. Looks like it was about 48-50 https://youtube.com/shorts/iBZY75KLCwE?si=NRJED6e7qCU88Jmr

Yep. Just watch how teams play Bo Nix - lad can't hit the deep ball for toffee.

maybe, I noted that Next Gen was missing a couple games. That's all I can go off of. What game was that.

50 yard touchdown to Thielen last year
-
yeah, a lot of that has been addressed in old Bryce talks. He barely has plays to those deeper sections. It was broken down with the "best deep passer in the league"........when he had like 1 completion. Other dudes were going 3/4 w/ TDs those weeks. And Bryce getting a completion was rare.

Bryce didn't have those same weapons on his late season run that Andy had in his 2 cherry picked horrible games. Dionte was traded. Mingo was traded. Sanders gone for the majority. Adam Thielen returned. Andy was over 220+ in 3 (majority) of his games. And again, Andy Dalton is old and washed. He is not good. No one ever says he is good. The Panthers were a more threatening team overall in Dalton's starts both seasons in the pass game vs when Bryce is on the field. In Dalton's handful of games, attacked downfield at a rate Bryce Young just flat out doesn't do....and saw more production 20+ downfield in that tiny window last year than Bryce did on the season and getting most of the work. And I'm pretty sure in his handful of starts in Carolina, Dalton has more actual production 20+ yards than Bryce in his entire career, despite Bryce dominating starts the past 2+ years. Like not close. -
Yeah I would still like to have the actual numbers of attempts inc complete int, that stuff in there. I am not surprised by anything on the right, except the 10-20 and the color. The difference between Bryce and League Avg in that square is greater than in others that got the color change. . If I am seeing it right he is 13.8 below avg. Where not even a 10 point shortfall got him Red in other areas. I am horrible with charts though edit: also the number differential in the right yellow section makes because sense when you look at his typical passing charts you know where he wants to go.

Given that making the playoffs seems far more likely for Darnold than for anything of the Vikings, maybe they do.
-
It wasn’t hindsight for some. But we would likely still have had Fitterer and that is a big negative, so those draft decisions, well who knows? Put the same all out upgrade effort they gave Bryce, we had all the picks back and DJ still, Plus all the stuff they did. But do we pay Burns or add OL? I do t think the IOL would have had the same focus put on it. So many variables. But the QB? Lord… no one asked me back then but to hell with drafting Bryce in almost any case and I was good with Darnold. If everything else was as it is right now we would be rocking.

Bryce (who we are saying isn't a good QB) had those weapons on his late season run last year. Can't try to give the old man a pass and not Bryce (who made Moore look solid vs. the Chiefs in his return). Another one is Baker flying out to LAR after we released him and playing great followed by some subpar games. That first game can catch defenses off guard. It wasn't really a mixed bag for Dalton though. Just one good game followed by bad QB play. -
We have all that just not the QB
-
Partial story telling. Because it ignores actual production in those areas and how often you are doing it. And that's where things really get out of whack w/ Bryce vs the league. Bryce wasn't really completing or throwing balls past 20 yards. Which is why our passing O never really produces anything and it's a bottom tier pass attack. Others, can share the efficiency.....and drastically out perform him in production. If you put up the production stats of Bryce vs the field in those areas of the field....it would look MUCH different. And that's why we say it.
