  2. Today
  3. Drake Maye does seem to be the perfect example of what a future top 5 NFL QB looks like in his early years.
  4. Wasn’t he here for the 2024 draft?
  5. I wish he had thrown in some more of his zingers. Like a cat hangin' off the screen door! lol. He should seriously be in either a football movie or whatever kinda Madden video game crap they make nowadays
  6. He's essentially already fired, they just need someone to show up for the rest of the season and go through the motions.
  7. He still has an uphill climb, but a game like today helps.
  8. Oh, my... I didn't realize there was a Cardinals player that did the dropping the ball short of the end zone too.
  9. Maye is the real deal. Outplayed Allen and suddenly Patriots look like they will challenge that division again
  10. We desperately need a real ILB green dot guy and a legit edge rusher so bad lol. Everyone else playing their roles would be fine. Derrick Brown and Jaycee are keeping us afloat for now. Everywhere else is actually solid depth/role players but nothing to write home about
  11. The offense can help them by getting a lead. I mean it was the Falcons but 0 points? That doesn’t happen in the NFL very often. I know the Falcons shot themselves in the foot multiple ways but the defense played a part in that 0. The NFL these days, teams are a work in progress for at least the first half of the year. We should see improvement continue for a little while. Throw Luke into any defense it is improved but this one is just waiting for that guy. A guy that could be like, Luke light, Temu Luke, would be a huge shot in the arm.
  12. so you all wouldn't have punted on a 4th and 17 when you had three timeouts and a chance to get the ball back? Odds of making it on a 4th and 17 are very bad. Odds of forcing a three and out are better. And if their defense hadn't committed a penalty, they would likely have gotten the ball back.
  13. I only heard him talk a few years back when he got the job and he seemed kind of out there.
  14. I don’t remember Ealy showing this early. But I am old with leaky memory.
  15. I knew that would be hard for him with his arm strength issues because the velocity deficit compared to to standard gives defenders more time to close. I got major disagreement bordering on outrage for pointing it out and I didn’t say I knew, I just speculated that it was a big question. People have to remember this is a league where they parse 100tha of a second in 40 times.
  16. For anyone that's frustrated with the state of the Carolina Panthers organization, and needs a pick-me-up and a good laugh...
  17. I think the run defense has bordered on great the entire year. If we could stop passes between the hashes, the D could be good
  18. Every time we win a game somebody's head has to roll and honestly, the DC who let a backup RB run for 200+ yards and nearly 10ypc wouldn't feel like an overreaction.
  19. The crazy thing is Kony Ealy would have been the Super Bowl MVP if the game wasn’t rigged.
  20. Statistics, even when they can be molded, still are applied equally across all QBs. He was shown to stand out in that metric. The eye test also showed zero separation last year which would mean a lot of completions would come from a tight window.
  21. You guys are imaging things when discussing the Panthers drafting Maye. If we hadn't made the trade that allowed us to pick Young, then the odds are Caleb Williams is the qb most of you would be complaining about.
  22. Well, that's a statement win for the Patriots. I'm hoping this doesn't mean the start of another dynasty, though.
  23. Baker balling. Darnold balling. Maye balling. All guys who could easily be our current QB. But nooooooo... we have a super processor PG mentality little person. LOL
