  1. Past hour
  2. today, special teams have been winning and losing games. Iggles (2 blocked fgs, including 1 in the clutch) vs Rams to win. Bucs, had 1 blocked and returned for a touchdown when they should have had the game iced and 1 fg as time expired for the win against the Jets Commanders, Raiders. punt return td busted game open for commanders in second half. Green Bay vs Browns. Browns block a punt and then drive for a 55 yard fg for the win. Panthers vs Atl. Atl repeatedly pinned inside the 20 on kickoffs and punts. ATL's kicker could not convert while Carolina converted all. In several other games, the defensive team and the team that makes the least mistakes has won.
  3. 30 carries for 110 and a 3.7 avg is hardly putting in work but I get your point
  4. ITT But we didn’t blow out a division rival the way I wanted to
  5. I guess if the D is gonna pitch shutouts it doesn’t matter if your QB only throws for 120. That’s not sustainable but good division win boys
  6. You're going to have to get the highlights sir. But those are going to consist of the Panthers defense embarrassing Penix Jr and our run game putting in work.
  7. My neighbors won’t be talking sh1t about my flag this week!! Definitely wearing one of my jerseys to work tomorrow… Keep Pounding!!!
  8. I agree we won't win a ton of games if our offense isn't a bigger part of the plan. We didn't have to or try to do that today. As Bryce continues to grow and get better we'll get more games from him and the offense carrying the load. Yes, he, Canales and the rest of the offense has to be much more consistent in producing points on offense. No question. As you say, we've seen that in spurts. Should a number 1 overall pick come out carrying a team? No, despite what fans think. It's rare for any young player to be born into the league fully formed. What I saw today was mistakes being corrected. I'm not going to try to gaslight you saying Bryce hasn't had his share of games we'd all like to forget but since his benching last year he has continued to get better and better. No, it hasn't been in a straight line but that's just not reality for anyone. Last year he had 9 picks in 14 games and 3 lost fumbles. This year through 3 games he has 3 picks and 2 lost fumbles. The amount of pass attempts show me a staff and a team who are not afraid to pass. They are not protecting Bryce more than any other team would protect their QB. The rate at which we threw downfield last year shows me the same thing. The number of potential game winning drives also point to the fact that we aren't limiting our passing attack. We routinely put the ball in Bryce's hands to get a crucial 3rd downs and 4th downs. The results are not always what we want but I don't see any lack of trust or faith in him. Tetairoa is tops or leading rookies in yards and catches. Unless he's throwing it to himself, I'd say we are getting him the ball without too much trouble. It would be even better if Tetairoa would put two hands on the ball when trying to catch those deep endzone shots. Bryce hasn't earned an extension yet and he might not but he and the team had a great game today. I'm going to enjoy watching all of them continue to grow together and hope those spurts start to get ironed out and this roller coaster has a few less dips. Keep pounding.
  9. Another couple of weeks like this one, and my skepticism will be abated.
  10. JFC just came in the house from outside- too nice of a day in the sun to waste it on the Panthers and the local stations arent even broadcasting the Panthers today. Is the game is supposed to be on CBS ? If so they got some redneck rodeo show on instead. If on Fox its the Cowboys playing someone.
  11. A shut out win is nice. Keep pounding!
  12. Both. Defense was playing better than it has in years. They capitalized on mistakes and there were a lot of em. But they played the run surprisingly well too. Edit: Bijan was still effective but we put them in enough third and longs in the first half our D was able to play well.
  13. With a more physically capable QB I believe TMac would be making a strong case for rookie of the year.
  14. 1. I’ll be the first in this thread: In Dan I trust. 1 offseason and the defense looks like it may have real NFL talent. They’ll still get torched at times this year, but this team just kept 2 of the best RBs in the league largely in check. Drake was a non-factor. Penix heard footsteps all game and that absolutely factored in to his horrible throws. 2. 74 points. In the last 2 games, 74 points against the clowns and won 2 in a row.
  15. In the longer term it will benefit us to get TMac red zone touches early so he and Bryce can ideally build some chemistry. But we were effective in the red zone this week, thankfully.
  16. Truth! LOL! Was our defense that dominant or were the Falcons just atrocious?
  17. That's textbook sarcasm/trolling from Juan. Don't know how you can't spot that by now.
  18. Negative. Most just acknowledge Penix pullled a bad Bryce day and totally gifted us one. Just horrible QB play that took the Falcons totally out of that game
  19. He's already made two throws that I KNOW Bryce could NEVER in his life dream of making. His arm strength was insane on that flea flicker.
  20. Oh absolutely, and he's the type who is more likely to make those plays than not, so it sucks when he doesn't still make the catch. But this is the NFL, no matter how good the WR is (or how much of a fan I am of theirs), I'm not going to blame them when the defender makes a good play to break it up. Just like I'm going to call out T-Mac for not watching the ball all the way into his hands on the screen and dropping it, he has to make that play.
