This Sunday's game will be about which team can out ass the other one.
-
No he stepped up for an impossible task for a lot of money. There was a year of film and his friend that became GM had all the inside info. Im calling BS on that. He isn't a victim of Young but a willing accomplice. I think we got him because of the Young issue. Without the Young issue next year we just have the Tepper issue so maybe? It's worth a try IMO. Top pick, another ridiculous contract and if the fans are lucky the new people can negotiate better Tepper handling g to take the job.

Surely there's some team out there that will give us a 6th rounder for him. -
I get that. Can’t argue with that sentiment But if he wanted out I think I would just send him on his way. Having him on the team has done enough damage. Same as with AT, it has to work for us.
-
He was given an impossible task. If Mayfield says he sucks I will believe it. I am not believing it off of Bryce freaking Young failing because there Is no fixing that guy. Also in play, big time, do you really think Tepper can attract an upgrade? I am very skeptical of that. I am not gonna go back and forth there is a lot that has to play out - that is my position until there are further developments.
-
The team doesn't have to play him or trade him. The little bitch can sit his ass on the bench until we get an over we can't refuse. He doesn't control this situation.

yeah, it'll literally only take one positive yard for him to be "better." lol -
A big part of our overall talent issue is we have way too many utter throwaway drafts. Like virtually every pick is trash. Start stacking those up and you're cooked.
-
And people wonder why Fitterer is hated. At least Rhule provided 4 contributors in his Draft in 2021.

With the 1st Pick in the 2026 Draft....

Honestly... If BY requests a trade or a big extension after what he's shown so far, then so be it. This hasn't been a great situation for him but he doesn't have a resume that'll hold any leverage. Ideally he'd take what he can get and then try to prove himself. A lot of QBs have had success betting on themselves in contract years. -
Canes fully healthy. None contact jerseys off in practice.

This took way too long for my joke….Good at eating raccoon. -
This man led the worst defense in NFL history and kept his job because he's Tepper's pick. Tepper insisted on keeping him when Canales was hired.

Good.

Old engineering saying ‘you can’t fix a bad design’ The Panthers are poorly designed ill leave it to others as to who is the true architect of this fiasco absolutely no idea of what they are conceptually on either side of the ball Then , a 1 pick in the draft should have the ‘possibility’ of being a game changer, not a game manager. hire coaches that want that game manager to go vertical without the arm velocity or receivers who have speed, and you know, the ability to actually catch the ball drafting on athletic potential vs college film and results go to a 3 4 defense without the personnel for it We all know the rest I don’t care if the Panthers somehow manage to beat the Jets and DOlphins, they do not have the right structure or people to design the foundation supporting the house for long term success. it is ridiculous and it is exhausting. They need a total overhaul and they can start by putting Tillis in charge and getting rid of all the rest (scouts, coaches, advisors) all of it -
He looks tired and stressed out. I can't imagine a more stressful situation then coaching the Panthers and having to answer to Tepper.

With the 1st Pick in the 2026 Draft....

He was pretty good the backend of last season. The first year and a half was really bad though. Really bad. No arc. Just linedrives 40 yards down field, leaving no room for error. It's perfect or an incompletion. -

So true. He makes you prepare for something totally different at the position. I'd love him for that alone. DCs hate prep when there's a threat of that dude taking the field. -

Yeah, he's hit a few. He's missed a lot more. -

He's hit Coker, Legette, TMac and Thielen with beautiful passes downfield. He can. He just doesn't. Which again, is even worse than not being able to. Too many short passes leaves opportunities for something to go wrong. And it often does. -
I love King. I just don't see him as a NFL QB. Well, I don't see him as a starter. But I personally wouldn't mind a Taysom Hill backing up my franchise QB.

How many of these examples can you find? Because most of his deep balls are honestly inaccurate. -
He is the dumbass that got picked for Bryce and took the giant payday to do so. What has he done to earn a shot or use a top pick this offseason? I have seen him fail enough personally. He needs to spend more time as a coordinator and learn from a HC that can show him how to be a successful HC becaude nothing points to him figuring it out currently. Have you ever seen the team ready for the season under him? I sure haven't.

LinvilleGorge replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, he's just not a good downfield passer. Plenty of us pointed this out in his college play. He was throwing up "area balls" to wide open receivers who could adjust to the ball. Put an NFL secondary out there and most of those balls aren't completed. -

No argument there. If it isn't his presnap read, then he ain't likely even trying it. But when decides to throw deep based on coverage, he's shown he can throw with accuracy.
