  2. Not opposed if the offense is gonna open up but based off what I’ve seen, I’m all for bolstering the defense. s or dt in the first hopefully
  3. Raptors blown out by Phoenix. Man this final stretch is gonna be crazy. Seeds 5-10 in the east are separated by 2.5 games… Hawks only team “hotter” than us, and I think they’re bound to come back down to earth with a pretty tough schedule to close out the season. We have some tough games too but ones that I think are very winnable, and still some very very easy games — which we have been winning consistently in 2026. Don’t think we’ve had a bad loss against a team we should beat since the Pacers in either very early January or late December
  4. My general take on the state of the team not going too in depth is this: Either Morgan or Canales (hard to say whether it’s the players or the system/coaching, and that goes for any team) has been responsible for considerable strides forward on D and a bit more productive offense, but it’s been a small sample size and we collapsed at the end of the year. I lean towards it being more Canales growing as a coach and building a culture of buy-in and getting the most out of players in the locker room. My reasoning for leaning there is that Morgan was part of the Fitterer stink and it’ll take him a while of sustained success in roster management to overcome that in my mind. Next year is a big year to see if that was a fluke or not. These big signings this offseason are exciting and sometimes teams can have amazing FA classes but more often than not those who spend big and “win the offseason” don’t show the results in the regular season. As far as QB goes, in a vacuum I’m completely fine with the Pickett signing, he’s ok value for a backup and a huge improvement over Dalton. If Bryce went down there isn’t a huge drop off there and if the rest of the team builds on last year they could win games with him under center. I’m not sure the ‘85 Bears could win games with current Dalton under center. But the O is just so damn limited with Bryce and Pickett does not push him at all, he’s purely a backup. So I agree we I’d love to see a QB with some upside drafted, a guy who could actually push Bryce if/when he struggles or doesn’t improve any further. He’s improved steadily the last 2 years but it has been from arguably worst in league history to still below average. I’m not convinced he can get any better than purely average at absolute best. I hope he can man but I just don’t see it happening. And the longer we keep penciling him as starter the less confidence I have in this staff. Even with our unexpected relative success as a team last year sometimes you do have to take another step back to take a step forward, and that could mean moving on from Bryce, and temporarily going with a slightly worse player like Pickett while aggressively trying to upgrade the position and taking dart throws in the draft/free agency on upside players. I know, there wasn’t much available this offseason outside of Willis, and this draft class seems to be poor at QB. But I’d have preferred we try something and if it didn’t work and we took a step back then just keep trying until something hits. Rolling with Bryce is just delaying the inevitable and living in purgatory. just my 2 cents, hope I’m proved wrong

  6. His market value is 15.7 million. Not worth it to bring him at his age, at that price. If we were to bring in a veteran, DeAndre Hopkins is available for 2 million market value. I've said this in other threads, get Keenan Allen to play the slot. He's as good as a pass catching tight end and is market is under 7 million.
  7. Incorrect. But thanks for sharing! I always appreciate your updates!

  9. I like how the scouting reports read on the Clemson CB if they wanted to go there. I think the D line still needs love.
  10. I wouldn’t hate it if he’s the BPA. But I’m also not ready to give up on our other TEs. Sanders has starter potential that was sideline by injury. Tremble and Evans aren’t bad options either. The floor of that position group is the best it’s been in a long time. I also agree with the other comments that we need to get some youth next to Derrick Brown.
  11. This is the first time in a decade where our roster is in such a healthy state that we can go into the first round of the draft and truly take the very best player on the board.
  12. Hubert is done and out, probably won't come out til tomorrow or Tuesday but he's going to be allowed to resign and keep his buyout.
  13. We aren’t obligated to adhere to last year's target distribution ratios.
  14. McMillan/Coker down the stretch, healthy, combined for ~45% target share. Our RBs accounted for ~12-15% combined. So you've got around 40% left between WR3-4 and TE1-3 all divid up marginally and dependent on matchup. That's a huge chunk left that another real receiving weapon would help tremendously. Not opposed by any means. Especially if that means said TE could play slot like Kittle. Guys like LaPorta and Hockenson do so as well. The nice thing about Saddiq is his proven ability in both slot and in-line. It's what BAL always envisioned for Likely that hasn't happened yet. So it gives you a guy who can play there while you can throw in Tremble/Evans in-line. Also allows us to play 13 more which opens up the run game. He could really open up the offense overall which you need w/Bryce. And then it puts less pressure on needing to find the dynamic/shifty guy we've always pined for since Smitty left. That being said, I'm not buying any reports after last year haha.
  15. What are the chances the team worked so hard to keep last years pick out of the headlines before they made it to telegraphing this years pick 2 months ahead?
  16. 1 year ago he was broadcasting our interest in Jalon Walker. He's either in the dark and guessing or doing work for Morgan again. https://www.sportskeeda.com/college-football/news-insider-notes-georgia-pro-day-top-prospects-look-ft-jalen-walker-nazir-stackhouse
  17. exactly, what NFL team would come out and directly say if they "weren't considering" a prospect a month before the draft
  18. it seems to be pretty likely he’s the pick if he’s there, but from the work on TE’s they’re doing it seems like they expect him to be gone. In any case they’re clearly targeting one.
  19. The earlier tweet suggests they were off for a number of prospects (in the same direction). So it depends a little, imo, on if anything changed and how it lines up with past measurements.
  20. He's probably going to be a stud. If we actually had a QB with physical tools I would be over the moon at the possibility of adding such a talent. But we need help on defense and Bryce Young can barely see down the middle of the field without hopping around.

  22. You're saying the same thing as I said. Until Jordan becomes an active part of recruiting and funding, this school will continue to fall way behind. But to say Michael Jordan or the Jordan brand doesn't matter anymore, which is what you said, is flat out wrong.
  23. I have not learnt my lesson and will always want Uber athletic profiles. Sorry, Im a whore about it.... Im not the right guy to defend Kenyon, I just have a understanding with this years draft, numbers, and panthers roster. He is more of "upside/project" and we are talking 19th pick here too. I know about the years of all the mock drafts with TEs in them and I did want Pitts too.... Look I love the current TEs on the roster too, just this guy should be better than any of them at their best. Right now I feel OT is the correct target, but panthers as a org are trying to win in 2026 than 2027. So tea leaves and all, Kenyon would help this year. You can even say flex him to slot for most of the snaps and think of tmac on smoke routes with Kenyon blocking for him. I just hate BY is the shooter..... warren, I would say he's the better prospect even without his rookie year, *but he was late bloomer like XL if Im right, plus age was 25ish?? Bears picked love above him, mainly cause of recs. You can make a case that Kenyon is not a TE, but a moving weapon for offense that can be in the backfield, on the LOS, slot, and even X.... imean he's got XLs combine on some numbers.... He would be better to a offense mad scientist type...is that Dave? or is that bevell?? I think the Panthers should have him as a 19 pick, with others...
