  1. Past hour
  2. There has never been a football coach alive or dead that could make Bryce Young a franchise quarterback just to be clear.
  3. Even if we acquired him I feel like it would go no differently than it would if we just played Hendon Hooker. As such I'd rather just play the guy that isn't completely self absorbed to the point he's acting like a mime in front of cameras.
  4. If I'm the coach I'm going ape poo right now. I'm ready to stomp into the owners office like "Are you happy now? Was the publicity worth it? This kid is putting me in a spot where I HAVE to cut him if I'm going to maintain any respect on the locker room. At the very least he's getting suspended for conduct detrimental to the team. That's the least I can get away with."
  5. DC was hired to fix Bryce young. He has failed at that. he has shown nothing that indicates he should be able to draft a qb or hire his own DC. Who would he even hire? Who do you think Canales can call up and convince to take this job? What personal relationship can he leverage? Is there another evangelical masturbation enthusiast he can holler at
  6. Can’t wait much longer if they are going to do something like this. Cam even mentioned how difficult it is to come in and learn a full offense in a couple weeks and that’s coming from an MVP QB, not a rookie. Shedeur would realistically need a month to grasp our sets and language before throwing him out there and by then we are half way through the season. Unless the FO truly believes that Shedeur can be a starting QB in the league to the point that they’d pass on a first round QB in next years draft then there’s really no reason to send draft capital for a QB who wouldn’t fully have command of our offense until the following year and by then he’d more than likely be competing with a first round QB. It just screams wasting assets for an attempted quick fix. Best option is to trade Bryce to Vegas, ride out the suck with Dalton, and try again next year. But our FO seems hell bent on milking any and every value a player has before trading them for scraps (except Thielen).
  7. This is one of the most bizarre things I think I’ve ever seen in a locker room. Wtf?
  8. I agree with you that the gameday coaching and situational football scenarios leave a great deal to be desired. On both sides of the ball. Although we must be clear. Evero was forced on Canales by the Tepper's. Canales didn't even interview with anyone else. We hired him solely because of the work he did with past QB's and because he was an offensive mind that had what was perceived to be a strong season with the Bucs. We had a hard nosed culture creator like Mike Vrabel scheduled for an interview but most Panthers fans were in agreement we didn't want a retread and I get the sense he would not have meshed with the Tepper's similarly to how Jim Harbaugh would not have. Because they would have told the Tepper's to fưck off if need be. In hindsight we probably should have rolled the dice on Vrabel but the issue there is I do not believe he would have stood for continuing to play Bryce Young despite dozens of games worth of tape showing he is simply not a starting quarterback. There is no way Vrabel would have made it this long without moving on to another QB. And I also do not believe he would have stood by while the FO made zero attempt to bring in any legitimate competition in the QB room two offseasons in a row. Not a chance in hell. Arguing over whether or not Canales is or isn't "it" is pointless at this juncture. Everything we've done last year and this year has revolved around catering to and building around Bryce Young and our team has continually been worse off for it. Continuing to play him and drag this out is only going to make things worse for everyone involved.
  9. Dave Canales was always going to be a lottery ticket. Odds are against success but there was a small, tiny, itty bitty chance it could pay out. At this point he’s the crumpled scratchy lotto ticket you find in the parking lot.
  10. What's been shocking this season is how quiet the media is about Bryce this season. We saw an article come out from NYT this week but that's because it was a Patriots writer and this Tice clip is about all I could find. Most other convos from the bigger outlets were mostly focused on the Pats or the Panthers as a whole.
  11. And that right there is why he was plummeting down draft boards. If you're evaluated as not likely to be a starter and probably a career backup this is exactly what you DON'T want out of that backup QB role. The near unanimous word out of teams that interviewed him was that he came off as incredibly cocky and entitled and wasn't at all prepared for the interview. This kid really needs to stop sabotaging himself. I thought falling into the late 5th might be a wake up call but doesn't look like it.
  12. Bring him in. Trade them Rozebum or Legette. See what he's got because we don't have poo at QB anyways
  13. I'm not sure why people are surprised. The football people in Cleveland picked Gabriel over Sanders because they thought he was the better prospect for them. They looked like they wanted to crawl under a table as the Sanders pick was being announced because that pick probably wasn't made by them.
  14. I'm just glad it's becoming official. The end should be near. The poor takes, ridiculous excuses made and BS that's been slung can finally be in our rear view with him. Just got to get to the finish line and make it official
  15. Here’s him acting like a dumbass today because he thinks everything should be handed to him and don’t have the emotional intelligence to digest why Dillon Gabriel is starting and not him. The Ravens wanted to draft him and he would be starting this week since Lamar is hurt, but he didn’t want to be a back up. Now he’s a 3rd string QB on team as bad as us. https://x.com/adamschefter/status/1973449896507351324?s=46
  16. At this point, we need to turn every stone possible. Being his compensation probably wouldn't be much, it's not hurting to trade a late pick for a possible answer. If he flames, he was nothing more than a late rd pick. I'd rather try this and use our other high picks to continue to build the roster.
  17. Only old athletes who never did anything in college or only in their last season.
  18. We have two weak side 43 linebackers playing inside in a 34
  19. Canales and Evero after their eventual firings
  20. I think the Saints have far more problems than QB. Rattler hasn't looked bad in the games ive watched but good lord they need serious help across the board on offense. I cant remember which game exactly it was but I saw that poor guy hit 3 receivers in a row square in the chest or hands and them just drop it. It was rough.
  21. It's so obvious that the offense is handcuffed by the QB position. Some folks complain about everyone constantly complaining about Bryce but he plays the most important position in the game and when your limitations are hamstringing the entire offense you're cooked. Bryce is not the reason special teams had an awful day and he's not the reason our LBs suck but he is the primary limiting factor of our offense and that is consistently putting our already had defense in terrible positions. The QB spot is our biggest roster issue. It's just that simple. No, having a legit QB wouldn't fix all of our problems but it sure would create hope and lead to a much different overall fan vibe.
  22. He just holds on to the ball too long for not having any elite traits. He took the longest time in the NFL in preseason to throw.
  23. One less person in Nadeau’s way, Tyson Jost claimed.
  24. Never ever go after what the Browns wanted or took. Did we not learn anything from the Deshaun Watson affair? And yes, Baker Mayfield... didn't work out here. And Derek Brown... rode the pine like a king, worked a tiny bit of magic. Sanders is still sitting on the bench in QB Hell because there's a reason that a coach on the hotseat and a front office that is in shambles and a fanbase that is (once again) up in arms... And what that reason is, we aren't really sure of. Let's not frikkin' find out. We have our own set of problems and taking one off the Browns' hands isn't going to help us at all.
