He’s blowing up with the ladies on the tikitok
-
I met him at an OTA when he was rookie. I liked him, and so did my small children. I got a photo of him with my kids, and his nylon stretch shirt was ripped off his shoulder and down his side. I remember thinking, "This was an OTA. He must have been battling so hard (going full speed) that the OT grabbed him and ripped off his shirt." Normally, there is a "rule" that you stop when you are not in full pads when the other player shows that he controlled you or is in position to--like pulling up and not hitting the RBs. I got the feeling that he was going full throttle. Just speculation, but it was consistent with what we would learn about him.

Morgan, Mills, Keuchley, Beason--all within the first 25 years of the team's existence--we have been spoiled by great MLB play.

Some people just want to get the attention of a celebrity and feel zero empathy for that player's feelings or personal space. My dad was lifelong friends with some big names in football (Roman Gabriel, Dan Reeves) and baseball (Pete Rose and Tommy Helms of the Reds) and I learned very young that they are people doing a job and really want to be treated like everyone else. So when I see a celebrity in public who is flying under the radar, I try not to bring attention to myself or them--I might wave if we make eye contact but that is about it. Flashback In Washington DC (Georgetown) I was eating at a restaurant with my then fiance (she dumped me later--still hurts) and at the end of the dinner, I whispered to her, "Do not look back until we are getting up to leave, but do you know who has been sitting behind you for about 15 minutes?" She said, "No. Who?" I stood to leave, so she turned around while picking up her purse, saw him, and turned back around to look at me with a shocked facial expression. It was Billy Crystal. I put my finger over my lips to keep her quiet, but she turned toward him and said, "You look Marvelous!! (one of his famous lines) and proceeded to tell him that her favorite movie is The Princess Bride, a film Crystal had a small part in as Miracle Max. Grabbing her upper arms from behind, I looked at Crystal sympathetically and he cracked a faint grin--and I gently pulled her toward the exit. She was mad at me for not telling her sooner and said that I embarrassed her by pulling her away. I told her "You had already embarrassed yourself. I was just doing some damage control." I knew that she had exposed him, and how much he was valuing his anonymity until she sounded the trumpets.

I remember that game, vividly. I dare argue 2003 was the most talent stacked team our franchise has ever seen. HOF level talent: Dan, Peppers, Jenkins, Steve. Undeniable. Think about it. He had the chance to be the MVP of the Cinderella team that took down the goat in his prime. I don’t want to derail the original topic, but some fans just are too young to appreciate the caliber player Dan was. I hope some of the younger fans have watched some his game tape. If there is anyone who can spot a baller from a mile away, it’s Dan. There’s no questioning what this franchise means to him
- Today
-
He was a top 5 pick talent wise. He had 3 speeds. On, off and then everyone run for your life. His kraken moniker was spot on. Landing here with the veteran leadership gave him a chance but his mental issues cost him over $100 million.
-
And he was probably the MVP of that game had the panthers won. He had 11 unassisted tackles, 7 assisted, for 18 tackles, the most in Super Bowl history--think about that-Ray Lewis, Jack Ham, Mike Curtis, Ray Nitschke, Mike Singletary--the list of super bowl ILBs is sick.

Dan still can’t watch the 2003 SB tape. Can’t blame him. He’s definitely not ok with losing.

Bryce Young featured on this month's GQ magazine
PantherChris replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm actually excited for this year, I think Bryce has a real shot at breaking out, along with getting his confidence back the biggest thing I saw with him in the second half of the year was the cliche that "the game slowed down for him" which for a guy whose key trait is his football IQ was key.... he was reading defenses incredibly well both pre and post snap.... as soon as he realized he could trust his line. -
There was a small number thinking we would take and should take Richardson at one
-
I mean the Panthers GM used to post on this forum back in the day and the jerk offs trolled him with concussion comments... Heck id bet if the Luke Ness Monster himself posted here there would be jerk offs doing the same thing.
-
He was absolutely a first round talent, size power length, and athletic ability.... absolutely a beast a little crazy.... (dline is a spot you like a little crazy if they can keep it on the field.) He couldn’t the guy literally went off the rails right when he was on the verge of a massive payday.
-
Durability concerns dominate his pre and post draft analysis there is one mention of him being suspended for a game but thats about it. The earliest he shows up in mocks from that year is round 4.

Huh? Not sure if this is Dean Smith slander or not. MJ loved playing for Dean and won NPOY. And Dean had plenty of stars before him and after him. James Worthy, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, etc. Dean won 2 nattys. The college game was different then, Dean had more star power and national championships than basically any of his peers.

Glad your back! Orlovs replacement is on the roster his name is Nikishin! Everything else i agree with. I'd love Ekblad RHD is what we need.
-
Id love him and Ekblad, He fills what is IMO our biggest need a 2C the fact that hes also exactly what we need yes agreed. That said id say 90% of the casual fan base would complain and hate it lol.

RBA is the Dean Smith of hockey. A lot of wins, a lot of trips to the post season, but little to show for it at the end of the day relative to the W-L record. And, not unlike Dean Smith, RBA won't have a superstar on this team. The closest he got was Necas, then Rantanen, and neither wanted to be here. Dean Smith preached the team approach, and even Michael Jordan averaged almost 18 ppg in Smith's system. Mitch Marner is not the answer. Ehlers or Brock Boeser might be the better fit. And find a replacement for Orlov who has some offense (Provorov, Gavrikov, Ryan Lindgren or even Aaron Eckblad).

He needs help. He's needed help for a very long time. Instead, he gets football, big bucks, then MMA and little bucks, now just what his family has and a new arrest. He needs help and not the kind he has been getting.

Ok I’m going to put it like this. Rod doenst have top elite players like the oilers or panthers. Slavin or maybe aho are the only ones. And aho isn’t elite. Rod is making ECF with mid/good players. Give rod Edmonton or Florida’s players and its cups. Plural. For a fanbase that is now spoiled, we are getting greedy and too big for our britches
