2026 NFL Combine Thread: 2.26.26 - 3.1.26

Not sure he is in the top ten but: His 9.99 RAS score, second among 1,512 tackles since 1987, isn't a gimmick. You see every bit of that explosiveness translate to the field when he kicks and slides in pass sets. NFLDraftBuzz -
Ya win some, ya lose some. Legette looks to be a loss. The time for disappointment has passed. I expect nothing, so if I get something I will be surprised.

I got called into HR one time, as they were doing their research after a verbal altercation that I had with another employee. He was the one that started the sh¡t and had the nerve to go to HR. Well, I did the meeting, & the manager gave me her card & said if there was anything else I wanted to say regarding the investigation, to contact her. I thought about it later that day, so I used our company email and told her that I was willing to take a lie detector test, and that if he and his two friends were willing to do the same, once it was determined that they were lying and that I was telling the truth, then they would have to be punished accordingly. Funny thing is, after that, I never heard from her again, or anything about the investigation. It's like it never happened. Anyway, yeah 89 isn't doing himself any favors with this one. He wants to fight with a guy old enough to be his dad because of Rivera's lack of communication, even if there was some perceived hypocrisy going on. That's just not a good look.

Is Bryce the answer? Probably not. Do you see another answer out there right now? Well, do you? Retreads and dice rolls, that's all that's available right now. Maybe work a trade for Mac Jones, send Bryce to them with that fifth year deal. Maybe San Francisco can work their magic with him like they did Purdy, Jones and Darnold. And we'd have Jones for a couple of seasons. - Today

Following you on Real and Bologna. Tagged in Arizona to tick up the parlay.

It would be something to go yet another year with no 1st put into the defense. I think that would make 6. 6 years without a 1st rounder for the defense. And we seem to be fuging stuck

In terms of absolutely sucking at personal interaction, Gettleman and Smitty are about equals. Well, I'd still give the slight edge to Gettleman in that he can hold it together and be friendly and witty conversationalist but hie they choose to handle tense situations proves they're both basically just assholes at their core.

David Montgomery is headed to Houston in a trade for a 4th, 7th and OL Juice Scruggs.

Mezidor is a reach at 19. I'd only take him if he slipped to our 2nd round pick. I feel the same about most of the edge prospects not named Baine, Bailey, or Reese. Cashius Howell has historically short arms. TJ Parker had a down year. Keldrick Faulk has great size but limited pass rush production. The list goes on. This is not a good class to be getting line the 4th or 5th rated edge prospect . I'd rather get the 2nd ILB or the 3rd WR, 1st TE , vs 4th-6th DE. The value just ain't there at 19.

I've seen Proctor projected to go higher so im guessing he could be an option at 19 if they don't like the options at defense. Likewise with the center it appears he's an option in the second.

There is only 1 place to get an OT--these experts need to read the tea leaves--I am OK with Golday and Slaughter (C will probably have to start), but we are going to need a LT. We have already sent Nijman into the market, Ickey may not be back ever, and BC is not going to be available. All signs point to a LT. Freeling or Lomu. Even if Ickey is coming back, let him play RT after Moton or G.

Joe Person: Austin Corbett is not expected back with Panthers
MHS831 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This just in: We will have a new center in 2026. I think the draft is solid at C, and a rookie would be decent between our twin veteran guards. While we could go free agency, I just do not see pouring more $$ into the OL aside from Ickey, Moton, Hunt, and Lewis. We have a QB we might have to sign, Coker, and you can't spend $200m on offense because you have a short qb with a below average arm and limited mobility. -
Drafting two future O-line starters on rookie contracts will do wonders for our distorted (obscene?) cap allocation to the O-line. Proctor (22) Lew (54)

I read the article on the Panthers page by Person about his take aways. I was curious about the 3 players he chose to write about. He chose Styles of course but everyone expects him to be off the board before pick 19 rolls around. The other 2 were Alabamas tackle and Auburns center. All 3 of those positions are arguably our top 3 needs. I'm too lazy to look into were the last 2 are projected to be drafted but if any of you are curious as well please let the rest of us lazy fugs know.

In The Athletic today: The Panthers will let all of their free agents test the market. The list includes running back Rico Dowdle, who will not be returning to Charlotte unless he finds little interest following back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons. The Panthers want to bring back a pair of offensive linemen — center Cade Mays and swing tackle Yosh Nijman, who would start while Ikem Ekwonu recovers from patellar tendon surgery. Mays is expected to land a deal in the $8 million-a-year range. Nijman would come considerably cheaper. Even if the Panthers re-sign Nijman, look for Morgan to draft an offensive lineman for the first time since replacing Scott Fitterer in 2024. A tackle is in play for the Panthers with the 19th pick. — Joseph Person ———- I interpret that as saying they want to get Nijman in the fold and try to upgrade from him in the draft.

Okay, I don't care what anyone said afterwards, but I frikkin' loved the Danhausen unveil at Elimination Chamber. Highpoint of the night for a PLE with only like four matches (and fairly meh ones at that).

Kalil’s shoes, Cam’s shoes, TD shoes, Luke shoes, Olsen shoes, and etc and so on. The pas 7-years of bad drafting and miss managing of players has led to a long drought. Hopefully Morgan sticks to building a foundation to start winning
