Everything you said is true BUT This is a 1pm East Coast game for a team coming from the West Coast. That always causes some issues (see: Rams) Hopefully that gives us somewhat of an edge. Not to mention how packed this stadium should be (hopefully Panthers fans still show out despite the cold, wet weather).

This is such a horrible matchup for us In order for Sam to make a stupid mistakes he needs to be pressured which is something we struggle to generate. JSN in slot with CSW is free eats Then on the flip side their D is 2nd in EPA/play. Their corners are physical with length which will cause issues I look forward to watching this one because ultimately next week is all that matters but this one is a tough one

You live in Charlotte? You look outside? This is Uncle Rico weather.

his deep throw rate is only higher than one starter. Goff. Whole thread on it. and as I said, this same arguement was debunked last year when folks made it using PFF. Bryce factually barely throws downfield. Attempts of an act isn’t subjective. Not how he measures his peers. It’s a reality. Bryce doesn’t throw downfield and never has really. PFF just gives him a good grades on the rare act. And most of the PFF arguments used are stats that aren’t even deep ball grades (the big throw nonsense which isn’t deep balls) and grades that rely on subjective incompletions . And anyone that has been watching knows Canales is managing the hell out of Bryce’s throws and he isn’t a deep ball thrower. And that’s coaching. For a player who isn’t very good at something….finding advantageous scenarios to attempt something the QB isn’t great at. And the last 3 weeks it worked out well. Law of averages and all means just some windows work out well

He is going where he will be a guaranteed starter. Maybe Miami or Arizona.

Bold assessment about Rico. Number 1 ypc and number 2 ypg rushing defense. Bryce cannot hide today if the Panthers have any shot on offense

LOL the Panthers are one game over 500 in the weakest division in the NFL & now Bryce Young is elite

Mage started following Official Week 17 GDT: Seahawks @ Panthers

Will be at the game today. Stadium better be JUMPING. Panthers been killing it at home this year. Let's finish it strong! I'm expecting another slug it out game by the Panthers. Seahawks have been cooking, but Darnold will give us one or two, especially in this weather. I expect UNCLE RICO to have a big day. KEEP POUNDING

Chances are we end up playing a winner take all game in Tampa next weekend. Even if we win this game, that is still the most likely outcome. It very well could go like the Rams game. It could also go like the Bills game. So…all you can do is play your best against every opponent. We’ll see how we measure up against a very good team. On paper, Seattle has a few more advantages in this game. Will home field balance that out?

Frank Gore played until he was 37. So if Henry played another six seasons, he would need to average 910.5 yards to surpass Emmitt Smith. I think it would depend on what motivates Henry, but if anyone could challenge Emmitt for the all time, it will be Henry. However, it’s probably unlikely that he will surpass him. For me, it would be more likely he’d challenge and surpass Gore and/or Payton.

I would absolutely pay him to come in to be our "backup" and compete in camp

Can’t wait to see it.

Good for Malik Willis. He may be playing his self into an opportunity to fight for a QB1 job somewhere. Definitely some QB needy teams with not a lot of QB talent at the top of the draft, especially if moore or simpson stay another year. I don’t see him in Carolina when he could likely have a chance to be a 1 year starter somewhere and prove it.
-
Thas the very reason we had Dalton as our backup, any of those other guys takes Bryce's job pretty easily. I imagine if we are going with Bryce as the starter again we will have an underwhelming backup like that Mike White guy. We damn sure arent going to have a Malik Willis unless we are done with Bryce as the starter.

There is a difference in having a cannon for an arm and just having the arm strength to put the ball where it needs to be in a timely fashion. Bryce throws floaters anytime he has to put any depth on the ball because his arm is subpar, its undeniable. Brady and Montana both had the arm to put the ball anywhere on the field and could rip deep balls when needed. I never seen a fuging Brady pass float like Bryce. The only guy i could say was remotely close to throwing up poo like that was Russel Wilson but even he has a stronger arm than Bryce. You would be hard pressed to find any QB that has been allowed this many starts at the NFL level with a comparable arm to Bryce.

Ex-Panther great Jeremy Shockey on Bryce Young

Remembers its never Bryce's fault.... Thats the NFL, shits not going to be perfect every game....You need a QB that can get you through those times, not one that disappears and struggles to top 150 yards.- 15 replies

Ex-Panther great Jeremy Shockey on Bryce Young

That's probably as fair an analysis as it gets. Skeptical that he's the long term answer, but not ruling him completely out since he has room to grow. Highs are ok, but lows are very bad. Most of us are realistic and don't think he's the future, but hope he can win us some games because as of now he's our guy.- 15 replies
