The offensive line is a known problem I agree. The source of our team woes is that we can’t generate any push in the running game. We cant break any big runs or make 3rd and shorts without CMC. But the other issue is that we just showed the rest of the league that we can’t rely on Darnold either to pick up the slack. Those overthrows he made cost us our momentum. All he had to do what deliver on a few of those throws. He just showed us that he’s probably not the guy. A franchise QB doesn’t throw picks like that at any stage. He’s also not a rookie anymore as much as we like to pretend that he is. We can win with him at full strength but I don’t see us winning anymore games until then because Darnold is just missing throws he has no room to not make. I want him to succeed and he did have a clutch throw before the Robby drop, but still a better QB would have iced this game in the 3rd quarter because the plays were there. Thats why Cam was able to carry a weak team, that’s why Rodgers consistently owns.

Sam had a bad game last week. What was good about it was that he rebounded. This game was awful because it was clear the better team lost. If Sam hits those 3 sailed balls or Robby makes the catch then we likely win this game. But what is becoming evident is that Darnold isn’t developing fast enough to put the team on his back. Now that isn’t necessarily his fault but Rhule thinks the team is good enough for roll with it. Problem is we don’t have an o-line that can get any push or #2 RB that can turn the corner fast enough for big gains. Cam would have put 30 points on this defense easy. With CMC we no doubt win this game. But our flaws have become quite clear.

Dude Darnold sailed 3 passes that were chain movers. Nearly all his picks today were flat out panic mistakes . He sucked ass and it cost the team. A franchise QB would have put this game away early.

The plays were there to be made. This game was lost because Darnold couldn’t make the throws and Anderson dropped what would have likely been a game winner.
