  1. Their offensive line looks like ours last year. Burns likely wouldn't have made a huge impact on their season finish. I would have like to have both of those 1sts. Even if they weren't top 10 picks, which I believe they will be at least a top half in 24 and a top 10 in 25, you can still get some pretty high end talent at this picks. WR, LB, safety, center, DT can all be gotten mid to early 1st round and have an impact. Shoulda woulda coulda, we will see if it was worth it. If we do find out qb in the draft this year, having 2 1sts the next 2 years could have been really beneficial.
  2. How many dudes on this MB would actually admit they listen to Taylor Swift.
  3. So if we don't end up liking one of the top QBs this year or aren't in a position to get one, how much easier would it be to move with 2 1sts in 24 and an extra in 25 as compensation. There's a lot of dynamics at play. I like Burns, but if trading him could increase the likelihood of getting a franchise QB, I gotta make that move. Way more at play than just Burns for picks. We gotta know how the GM and coaches view this year's qb prospects as well.
  4. Now you just have to hope that Burns wants to stay. He hasn't given any indication he doesn't, but Peppers wanted out of Carolina. Carolina has been a train wreck for years and we're starting over again. As great as the money is, these guys want rings too. We don't have a great track record of success. It's not all about what we want.
  5. Could be but you need a buyer. Rams are the only offer we've heard about offering 1sts.
  6. A player is only worth what Someone else is willing to pay. They probably didn't think he was worth a new big payday and decided to move on. Get a new young TE on the cheap with one of those picks to pair with their new QB.
  7. Which is why I would want this year's 2nd as well if we were to do this. DE is an elite value position but we also need the ability to trade and move to get the best qb we can. We didn't want to trade away draft capital to get Herbert. Getting a top 2 pick is no guarantee and there's no guarantee you get the guy you want anyway. More picks give more ability to do what is necessary.
  8. He's had Urban Meyer and Matt Rhule guiding his development as grand master football. I think it might take him a bit longer.
  9. Dropping that 15 lbs and dedicating himself to be a better rusher has really paid off.
  10. The refs must be taking a whole damn wedding photo session to account for all the things they missed.
  11. Right now, no. Division lead on the line. Playing for a FG. Not what I'm looking for.
  12. Season in jeopardy. Need a win to take the division lead. Play for a FG. Nope.
  13. Perhaps it could be considered offense since it usually ended up netting more yards on a return punt by our opponent than our offense could generate running under Baker.
  14. It's partially about the type of offense you run too. RPO was never in Baker's wheelhouse, and if Rhule micromanaged the offense as much as he did everything else, it could have very well held back Baker's development in this offense. That's not a defense of Baker because he played like poo, just an acceptance that Rhule could have really fuged up this entire team because he thought he knew better than everyone. It's better for the team right now if Baker just holds his tablet and smiles.
  15. Depending on how many snaps per game we average, that could be different. Under Rhule our offense was averaging high 40s. If our offense picks up, that number could end up in the 60s on a weekly basis.
  16. It was a 2nd which is projected at a top 3 in the 2nd, 4th and Thomas.
  17. Make an offer to the Falcons to try and trade our 2nd (or SF's), maybe a 4th and Ian Thomas for Kyle. I know, I know we just traded CMC for some picks and we haven't really done well in the trading for players department, but it makes sense to an extent. Yes, I also know you don't trade within your division. Yes I know he was an early 1st round pick last year. But the simple fact is, Arthur Smith has no interest in making him part of their game plan. He has 16 receptions and 178 yards in 6 games so far this year. We need a TE. Our TE room is abysmal. We need serious help and the Falcons could use the pick to draft someone they might actually use next year and Thomas could be the blocking tight end to occasionally catch a pass. Yes I'm bored. Maybe had a drink or 2. But at least it's not another thread about trading away our core. Would anyone be upset if we somehow pulled a deal like this off?
  18. He got in Daboll's dog house and never got out. I wasn't against making a move for him before the whole Robbie drama. Dude has talent.
  19. Why is that? It's art on a machine. Guys who do turf professionally are fanatical.
