He is well payed and his defense has played well considering the injuries and a sucky offense. I don't think this will be an issue once he and Canales sit down and talk (if they haven't already).

Correct. I think the poster meant he is a fellow Latino. That is a cool aspect of this hire. Coach Canales seems to take that to heart and cherish his role as someone who can be a role model in that regard.
