  1. Id take him or Ingram but again I want Linderbaum first. We need that Kalil calling out protections type guy. In a trade down situation we could possibly grab one or the other. But the drop off from G and the drop of from C aren't the same. Yea I'd take Ingram later and Linderbaum in the first. That's all assuming BC works out at LT.
  2. I mean I get the point. And obviously people are still posting so we havent gone anywhere BUT Bro... If I'm making 15 Million per year, I wouldnt care if they tossed a whole fruit salad on the field. It just is what it is.
  3. On the bright side...We'll FINALLY properly address our offensive line this offseason!!!! It's sad that that's the only thing I have to look forward to regarding the Panthers. I swear, we are ALWAYS missing something on offense... Got QBs but no WRs..get WRs but then no OLine...next year we'll have WRs and Oline but no Qb. How we made the playoffs in 2017 is severely underrated. BC was a bright spot in yesterday's game. He did damn good as a rook in his first start. It wasnt pretty at times but Shaq is a former x2 Pro bowler/All Pro. Brady has ALOT to build on. We may have something here. Took 90% of the season to be over with to see it but atleast he didnt get the Brown treatment. Fitterer could easily leave the draft and start next season with a starting lineup consisting of: Brady- Ingram -Linderbaum- Brown-Moton Or switch out Brown with whoever is better between Brown, Pat, Erving, Omameh, Horton, Scott, FreeAgent(??)... No more Miller and Jordan. I REALLY like Linderbaum though. We could theoretically trade back into the late teens and get him, our second rounder back and another fourth...maybe more it's we end with a top 5 pick. I said all that but knowing Rhule we'll probably run to the podium for Pickett.
  4. Hell no... we ain't losing out. Not by design anyway. Besides if you want to draft a QB...next year is the draft for that. Build up the damn Oline (and I mean build it STRONG), solidify the defense and have it ready for the Qb of the future if he's not currently on our roster. That's why if I'm Rhule, I'm playing BC and Brown for the rest of the schedule to see exactly what we have to work with moving forward.
  5. Matt Rhule isn't going anywhere. Not this season or offseason. Revolving door @ Qb, countless injuries, probably the worse pass blocking Oline in history, a QB learning the scheme midseason, over his head OC, most penalized team in the nfl, etc etc. Even effort has been lacking (which may be his biggest hurdle). Even with this we still were in position to be somewhere near 8-4 and a lock for the playoffs. "Most" of the problems presently are offensive based, besides our run defense. He'll probably be allotted 1 or 2 more years to dump resources into the offense like he did the defense. Tepper wont fire Rhule b4 the 3 year threshold. Sorry to burst the bubble. He's is a hedge fund guy. No way in hell do you make that type of money without understanding the value of patience. That said, the biggest move we'll make is shipping our next 3-4 first rounders for somebody's QB if we dont have some sort of optimism heading into next season. Sadly
  6. Damn near agree with your entire post. Gotta say though, as I've mentioned before, this isn't the first time we've had obvious problems at stopping the run. The answer we had for that the last time was the drafting of Luke. Shaq stepped up this year but he's no Keek, he's more of a less dynamic Davis. On defense we need an starting MLB and stronger DT's in the interior. We also need to move Chinn back to linebacker. As luck would have it this FO let go of Perryman before he even took a snap.
  7. He's had a couple bad games but he's been pretty solid. He's still developing. Physically and within this scheme. PFF isn't the gold standard but they've has graded him poorly the last couple weeks... this is the same dude that made their All-Rookie team last year, along with the PFWA All-Rookie team. The skill is there he's just got to refine a few things. I get it though...microwave expectations. You wont find consistent instant dominance unless your just an all-world athlete...i.e Aaron Donald. Most players should b allowed 3 years to develop before passing serious judgement. Doesnt mean he shouldn't be held accountable, he still has a job to do. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt though. Mario Addison, Charles Johnson, KK Short, etc..all examples. Give him time.
  8. Tremble needs to start and stay. Ian is big as hell but he plays like he's Russell Wilson's size. Too damn big to be getting pushed around like he does. Also he may have the weakest stiff arm I've ever seen on an NFL player.
  9. And in hindsight you think that was a wise decision? And actually, we gave up a 2nd, 4th, this year's entire passing offense, and picked up his option next year. Not to mention the hospital balls that are injuring 50% of WR room. I'll half that one with Brady though. That's something.
  10. We bet the house on Darnold...bad move. Welcome to checkmate. Almost doesn't matter. Gave up alotta draft capital. Bring a new QB in, they'll struggle behind the line. Fix the line, you'll still have Darnold. Top FA's will want the max amount to come play here. Then again.. who tf know's. Rhule looks lost and Brady looks overwhelmed. The D is ready though. Give props when I see it. Never would have thought Snow would be the most impressive one thus far.
  11. E. Right now, Oline and Darnold. Subject to change by week** Except Oline will always be included... has been the majority of the last decade.
  12. I think it's a combination....all of which are fixable btw. Maybe not all this year but: A. Oline: Idunno exactly how good Pat Elfien is but maybe there is a correlation between the time he went down and our line just completely collapsing. I just don't remember our line being "this" bad when he was in the line up. Erving isn't special but he can hold his own at times. If both of these guys are down, our line really becomes swiss cheese. Matt Paradis is a backup at best. It's too early to tell on BC so that leaves Moton as our only dependable starter. This offseason, without a doubt focus should go here. Free Agency and a pick. Ideally, you wouldn't want all rookies starting on your line. But wherever we can get upgrades, I'm all for it. B.) Receivers: While we do have talented receivers, they play somewhat soft. Almost as if they've lost confidence. They rarely attack the football. Added to the drops they suddenly have issues with. Also, the seperation is lacking but 88 has been open alot this season. Being the 3rd option with a faulty line doesn't help Marshall's case. C.) Darnold: We can't protect him, as the line gets worse he follows. He's pressing too hard at times. He's a reflection of the shape our line is in. As his trust fades so goes his footwork. He's also eyeing his primary read a little to much and AGAIN, bad things happen when we force feed Anderson. It's gotta happen organically. D.) Brady: Some of his calls are genius, others not so much. He can draw up a play, it's when he calls that play that's the problem. It's siuational. Also, noticed the timing if off....by the time Sam finishes his drop the receivers haven't finished their routes. I think Darnold's distrust in the line is subconsciously causing his feet to move faster when the ball is snapped. That's pure speculation though. We also seem to abandon the run too early. McCaffrey: There is alot of value in having a reliable 3rd down and check down option. Its obvious to now that there is a reason he gets so many touches. Not out of option but necessity. Would explain Samuel's numbers last year when he took the role after injury. The volume is still too much though and while Hubbard is good, he's not in the same realm as CMC. I'm not even mentioning blitz pickup. I do think by next year, he'll be ready to take on some of those carries/catches. Esp if he progresses like Christian did in year two. TE: Dan Arnold was a safety blanket for our QB. We may have undervalued his importance. Hopefully Tremble gets up to speed. We we're too good too soon. Fooled the fanbase and the staff too early. False hope. Yet and still we have 10 more games to play. Just my personal opinion of our current state.
  13. Yea that's cool in all but it's becoming comical how we keep skipping over Oline help lol. There are MANY upgrades still on the market and hidden gems on 31 other squads. For as much flack as Gettleman got/gets, he sure did nail most of his Olineman fa's and draft picks...minus Kugbilla and Matt K. Williams, Moton, Oher, Turner, Norwell. Welcome bk Snead though, they must be trying to upgrade from Kirkwood. Or Marshall is worse than originally thought. Somebody mentioned Jarius Wright. That's actually in the mold of what we need. Somebody clutch on 3rd downs ...i.e Cotch, Samuel, Wright.
  14. Input steers direction. He said he didnt watch tape because he already watched it when he interviewed for the Jets job. At this point though, I don't even care if he did or didn't. I know he's leaving alot to be desired. Esp in redzone..as was the problem last year. And I didn't say Brady had anything to do with the defense. That was a venting statement in general. BUT this loss isn't on our defense. And If they wouldnt have allowed a score the last 2 quarters we still would have lost. But defenses do get tired. Namely after 8 three and outs. 3 points ... 3 points!!!!. Everybody on Offense should look in the mirror. After watching us the the past few seasons, we need more than a QB change. The offensive execution just isn't and wasnt there from the oline on back. It's not only the QB. Sacks, drops, constant pressure, penalties, effort... We look flat as hell out there. So YES, the offensive talent and the entire offensive staff should be held accountable. I'm willing to bet we lead the league in 3 in outs since McCaffrey went down.
  15. Lol ....at this moment I damn sure won't disagree.
  16. Joe Brady is who I blame.. 1.) Probably played a big role in Cam's exit. Only to get the same results it seems. 2.) Asked for Bridgewater 3.) Asked for Darnold. 4.) Instead of addressing OL in the 2nd...Banged the table for Marshall. 5.) Playcalling has regressed worst than the Shula days. We just lost to the friggin Giants...by 20+ points. A giants team with about 6 starters outs on offense.. Unacceptable.. We gotta change something...ASAP. 4 losses. 3 more and it's a wrap. It may already be a wrap but we cant go out like this. Our offense looks PITIFUL. EMBARRASSING.
  17. Said it last week, his best throws are when he's on the move. He should be used like Daniel Jones was used this game. Roll outs...
  18. Curtis Samuel was the reason for that. When Samuel went down for a couple games..same result. OL was better though..still dont even know how that's literally possible. Bring back Okung and get Christian in the game. What will happen = We will continue to struggle until we are out of playoff contention and then he'll come back and we'll start winning. Just enough to push us out of draft range for an impact player. Watch what I say.
  19. Man hell no... we've got worse every game since he's been gone. The whole offense changes when he's in. It's a reason he gets the majority of the touches. THIS is why.
  20. Thought Rhule didnt believe in firing coaches.
  21. Love the C's in this draft. Everyone is screaming tackle and I do agree to an extent but not in the draft....FA. Unless its Neal. What we have on the field are backups at best, minus Moton and maybe Brady (too early). That said, build from the inside out. Our draft is basically 1, 4, 5,5 6. If last year's draft was any indication than our first rounder will be flipped. Maybe we get two 2nds. Who know's at this point. I think we stay at the spot though if we have a chance at picking Neal or Linderbaum. Not really a fan of picking a center in the first but Linderbaum is different type of special imo. Besides that ....at guard, Kenyon Green and Ekwonu would be very good signings for us long term. 3 is the magic number. LT should be our FA splurge (1). As long as it's a proven commodity we acquire. Trade down for 2 second rounders. Get the best Center first (2) and then attack the guard position (3). Use the rest of the draft for BPA and pickup the best K in college at some point. The secondary is beyond set (still a lil skeptical of our safety play but we can manage that). WR and RB are set. TE is set if Tremble keeps up his trajectory. QB may still be a problem, but I don't think you could thoroughly evaluate Darnold without proper protection. It's just literally the definition of insanity that we've been patch-working this line nearly a decade arguably. Especially when solidifying that line improves 5 other areas: 1. The Oline itself (obviously) 2.The QB 3.The RBs: (benefits CMC but Hubbard would SHINE) 4. The Receivers 5. The playcalling You could also make an argument for 6 and 7. It's just the same as a dominant Dline making a secondary more effective. We gotta get it right. My faith in Rhule is trending sideways just based on most of his comments as of late Fitterer is exactly what we needed.
