  1. Speaking of kicking ... I was surprised to see that Ickey wasn't included in the All Rookie Team... but thats Pro Football Focus business.
  2. One could argue ..did it crash or is it coincidence that three of the astronauts that were on that shuttle have identical twins with different first names. And the others are still alive apparently..just older. Same names... teaching at universities. I wasn't even a year old but the story behind it is Wild. P.S.. I like Eddie ...but do we let Zane walk in favor of him?
  3. I'm thinking they'll draft a center regardless in the 2nd or 3rd. A guy for Boze to mentor and groom like he did with Mays. Iirc, Boze only missed a handful of games his entire career so if he stays I think we target an interchangeable OG/OC like Steve Avila out of Oregon. I would definitely be ok with taking a flyer on that guy if he's still on the board in the 3rd.
  4. I would invest another draft pick in the line... undoubtedly Keep your strengths your strengths ... I see we signed Deonte Brown back ... hopefully he gets his weight and mind right and becomes a factor. I like how we attacked the offensive line position this offseason. Moton, BC, Ickey, Corbett(after preseason), Cade, Boze (Top priority to extend). Why not throw a couple more names in there for insurance and competition.
  5. This.... + Depends on the coaching staff. If Wilks stays then Shaq is restructured imho. With Wilks we'd have a higher retention rate of players....basically same roster with a handful of FA's and picks. With a new HC...nothing is off the table. Except for Burns.
  6. Our biggest need at CB is the need for them to stay healthy for the healthy. Donte & Horn are enough to win with. CJ and Taylor Jr are #3/4 at best. Our biggest need on D is probably DE. Improving the pressure improves every other position. L Burns is damn good..he's a force just not a constant force. He disappears at times. DT beside Brown is also a need. Depends on the staff we hire. Are we a 4-3 or a 3-4 mainly?. They might not keep Chinn at safety. Sidenote: I think Shaq will be a cap casualty.... Which makes MLB a need. Then you have the QB problem to deal with. Also the RB position unless your running with Chubba as the #1. Also have to address either the WR or TE position.... Restructure that contract Ian should have never received. Dunno where we stand with the cap situation in realtime but last I checked it was -3 million. We lost 5 times on 1 trade. Lost by signing Henderson... adding his contract to the books...losing our draft pick...losing our best receiving TE since Olsen...which probably created a future lane to offering Thomas that ridiculous contract. Then you have today. We are obviously still losing from that one move.
  7. Soooooo... If Wilks is retained, anyone think he keeps McAdoo on this staff? Only place I'd be somewhat happy with his input would be in a consultant role. Other than his eye for QB talent I'm hard pressed to find any reason to keep him around.
  8. I like the idea ...hell I like the man. BUT I think we need all new everything... staff included... it's only a few coaches I'd like to retain... Al H., Tabor, Campen, and even Wilks. Basically every assistant we knew would be worth a damn when they were hired (minus McAdoo). Get rid of the Baylor staff and get a new OC in here. I think if he's retained he'll likely keep everyone in the building. Unless they decide to leave for Nebraska. That said, after the turmoil in the building, losing your best player and a constant QB carousel, with a 8 or 9 win record he should be given a 1 year contract imo. Rhule led us to 11 wins in 3 years... Wilks is @ 3 and will most likely hit half(at minimum), of Rhule's total in 3/4 of one year. We'll see.
  9. Bro I dont think anything or anyone can convince me Henderson should ever be a starting cb.
  10. Georgia just happens to supremely talented at the TE position. Bowers is definitely the best one though. And will probably be a first rounder in '24. Gilbert and Washington are about tied in my book... with Gilbert having more talent and Washington having the higher ceiling. Both underutilized. That said ... I wouldn't be suprised if one of those two (Gilbert) are still on the board in the 3rd-4th (off field concerns, "alleged" Kelvin Benjamin habits). For sure Mayer is going first BUT my personal target for this team and also the player that I think is going to drive his stock up most post combine...... Jaheim Bell
  11. Sam Franklin... low key becoming a beast on ST. If you would have asked me b4 this game though I would've never suggested he see playing time. But yesterday he made a couple of plays that caught my attention. Luvu and Woods are two players I'm glad we locked up for more than a year. I love the constant communication I see on defense. Barno though.... he's a project but I'd keep him around. Get that man a personal chef and lock him in the weight room. For where he was picked...if yesterday is as any early indication...I'm liking the returns.
  12. That's Henderson-ish. From the looks of it though, it didnt matter who covered Robinson. Dude was catching everything anywhere near his direction.
  13. Indeed, him and Tabor. I wouldnt mind having Wilks back as one of the DB coaches either. I suspected Campen played a role in the Bozeman signing, same goes for Corbett.
  14. So you telling me Anderson has had the flu for damn near 2 months?. Shitty antibiotics I guess. And Derrick Brown caught a variant of this same flu mid game... but stood on the sidelines helmet free talking to the players??? World class athletes whose immune systems, Im assumeing should be far superior to that of the average person. You could probably add up all the Covid cases we've had since 2020 and it wouldnt top the amount of illness caught by our players since Week 1. I don't know if its influenza, covid or staphylococcus ... but its strange...and extremely consistent week to week.
  15. Kinda off topic but wassup with the "illness" lately... That run stopping DE we picked up has been off the scene due to an illness... Derrick Brown comes out the game because of an illness Luvu...illness Nixon...illness Burris...illness Wth is going on in the locker room besides ping pong? Back to topic: If only we could have kept Bradberry to pair with Horn. This is still technically Jaycee's first season and If he's such a problem now, when he hits his prime we might have a perennial All-Pro on our hands. Between Brown, Jaycee, Burns, Chinn and Luvu we actually have some pretty good peices to build around on defense.
  16. You mean we are going to win the lottery tonight.
  17. Idunno if I would call the 2015 line just serviceable... Didnt we have: If we're going head to head Oher-Norwell-Kalil-Turner-Mike Remmers .. That interior is tough ... but.. Ikem vs 2015 Oher: Ikey Christensen vs Norwell: Norwell...that man was a BEAST at G. Kalil vs Bozeman: Kalil Corbett vs Turner: I wanna say Turner but I don't remember what version of Turner we got that year...so ima say Push Remmers vs Moton: Moton .. 2022 has superior tackles 2015 had a more stout interior..
  18. Thing is, just by the amount of time it took to get him named an actual starter I'm not sure our FO knows wth is going on with player value. It is or there was a disconnect somewhere. And even after Rhule was fired, Elf was still in the lineup. Granted Elf did ok a couple of games, Boze is hands down the better option. They had Shi over TMJ Higgins ...our best route runner on a team with a scheme that doesn't lend much help to seperation via route concepts, always inactive. Henderson over Taylor Jr.. (my preference though) Elf over Boze And we're still trotting out Ian Thomas over every TE. In actuality, he shouldnt even be on the team. We should have shipped him off to Jacksonville and kept Dan Arnold. I said all that to say, I dont even trust them enough to make the right call in a hypothetical situation. Furthermore side note: Every year under this new regime we let a player walk that made the pro bowl elsewhere the same season.
  19. I agree but hypothetically if we have to choose just one, by far it would be Boze. Certain players you dont let walk... Foreman I could live with. Bozeman would be a huge hit.
  20. Reminds me of Kamara. I just think he'll be gone last first.... to a team like the Bills. The Day 1 starters/stars are: Robinson and Gibbs. Late picks that can run with power but also have some sort of explosive traits...Kenny McIntosh, or Chris Rodriguez Jr from Kentucky. McIntosh will be an even better pro than college runner I'm predicting.. Rodriguez has the skillset but fumbling issues and off the field problems might keep him on the board until the 4th-5th. Both have clear talent. Charbonnet fits that physical mold also. If size isn't an issue and we already have a powerback I'd be looking HARD at Devon Archane. I also like Deuce Vaughn but his height works against him. Archane is straight speed tho..the closest you'll see to Tyreek at the rb position. He gets points for his return ability also. Vaughn size make Injuries a constant concern. Hell it might cause him to go undrafted...stranger things have happened. His talent and potential as a runner in space is ridiculous though.. I just put him in the 3-down back convo. Fitts will probably resign Foreman for another one year deal if he continues as he's projected to. That'll probably land him in the 4 mil range. And tbh, Blackshear in college and preseason was pretty impressive also. Chubba is better than alot of people credit but he's also dropped about 400+ yards of potential production since drafted. I don't think McAdoo's scheme is intended for any kind of finesse back. Everything hinges on the new HC and OC. But their are always choices. I'd rather throw a late rounder at a rb before a long snapper though. We could also go Curom, or Bigsby. Pick your preference. Archane might be my favorite back after Gibbs and Robinson (subject to change).
  21. Go get him!!!!! Put him next to Woods and move Chinn back where belongs.
  22. Wasn't he top 1-2 in his class? Pretty sure 95% of outlets had him going in the first round. He has top 10 traits ...but his ability hasn't matched up to his performance. His instinct were pretty damn good at Florida...not so much here. Literally reminds me of Norman in year 1-2 before his mvp preseason...minus the confidence.
  23. Without an offseason...still cant wrap my head around it... kudos to that man
  24. Rotflmao..... Brilliant sir!!!! Damn I needed that.
