  1. Snow likes to move guys around, make hybrids out of them. The problem is that it just hasn't been working. He's taken both Shaq and Chinn and basically made their impact disappear in many plays and often entire games. Opposing coordinators are quick to see those changes and seize on them, almost always resulting in successful chunk plays that just eat us up.
  2. Rhule looked good at the beginning of the year, but we were looking through an undeveloped lens. At the time, we had no idea how bad those teams were. In hindsight they were terrible (and New Orleans was decimated). Once Dallas was on the field against us, we got to see just how ill-prepared we were. And the prior year was just as bad, with even less talent on the field. It doesn't inspire hope.
  3. I don't believe in him. He's very active in trades, etc. but judging by last season's pick ups and drafts, we have a mediocre performance, probably bad considering how it all imploded. And the Robby(ie)(ee)(ey) Anderson contract extension was a complete fumble. Maybe he did well on this year's draft. Won't know for a while, but we can only give the guy so much of an excuse for "Rhule's picks" and also refer to him as "the only adult in the room." I think Seattle did to us with him what Denver did to us with Paradis -- fobbed off a meh-skills guy that they really wouldn't miss.
  4. They've given him this season, at least to start. I'd love to see him win us all back, but nothing I've seen so far makes me believe this is even slightly possible. I have been wrong, though, and would love to be wrong on this matter.
  5. Wow that was enlightening. I kinda understood what was happening but couldn't get it all straight in my head. Now it makes sense and so does the idea of getting that under control to restore some parity.
  6. And it got us to a Super Bowl. Coaches have to use their resources to the maximum at all times in this league. They don't give you points for having a gently used QB. Kuechly was also used as a tackling battering ram and it shortened his career, but he was the best in the game while he was there. It's a tough sport, it grinds up the athletes and we won't cheer if they aren't trying to run through brick walls for their coaches and their teams. As an excellent example I present the 2020 and 2021 Carolina Panthers.
  7. The franchise had its moments of glory before Tepper took over. Since then it has just been a depressing bag lunch of bologna and mayo on white bread day after day, year after year. There's more hope in Detroit than there is in Carolina.
  8. Wow. Yep, that was a Tepper-regime level announcement. Turds, he's turned the place into a field of turds. He just wants to keep showing us a shiny new one.
  9. Well, so far, it has been very much like everything else with the Panthers since Tepper arrived... a whole lotta whoop followed by a whole lot of nothing. We're waiting.
  10. Well, we can either prove them right or we can prove them wrong. There are some mighty good young men on that team and I hope we don't waste their best playing years more than we already have. This has been shameful.
  11. Great post OP. Thanks for shining the spot light on some guys that normally get left in the dark.
  12. This 100% and he played like he knew that was the situation. Brought a lot of fun into the game and I hope he does well in broadcasting, too.
  13. Maybe. There was some stellar rep touted on previous hires under Rhule, too. Let's just say that I'm going to have to see it before I believe it while Rhule is here. Twice bitten, three times shy I guess. But, on paper, it should be good.
  14. On paper... but then, on field... I like the players and the potential. I'm looking at the coaching and feeling doubtful, though.
  15. I feel the same, but I also have to look at last season with that entire offense. What we saw on the field wasn't great and it always made me think there were off-field issues that were affecting it. Maybe the ineptitude and strife hit the rookie hard and he'll come back better this year. We'll just have to wait and see. Still, second rounders aren't a sure thing either, but you expect more than we got.
  16. Fair point. Like I said, not sure what to make of it because whatever the dustup is, it happens behind closed doors. Bienemy is a heck of a coordinator, but there's something that keeps him from getting the HC gig. I just don't know. I always find myself hoping everyone is a good guy, but I know it is rarely the case.
  17. Has McCoy had any other problems with coaches? I know he's been moved around a lot, and he's had to prove again and again he wasn't done yet. So much can go into this whole situation that I'm not sure anyone on the outside can get a fair read on the situation.
  18. Considering how long he had him on the bench last season, I've got to look at this a bit askance. They've looked like they fumbled Brady from the time he was picked, in all honesty. And it ain't the kid's fault.
  19. They're just fumbling about like blind men when it comes to the line. Again. Who knows? Maybe they'll get lucky.
  20. Sorry, Coach, I tried to catch a ride this morning and... yanno. Yeah, Robby, we know.
  21. Honestly, I'm looking at our schedule, our coaches and our players. I've got three maybe wins, New York Giants, Falcons, Falcons. I'd throw in one win to a team that will be surprisingly bad (not sure who it will be, but there's always one of them). I can't get behind even five wins. Steelers? Nope. Even with questions at QB, they're a better team and better coached. They can just keep handing the ball off and run us over. Detroit? That's a bad team getting better. We're a bad team spinning its wheels. Seahawks? Better coaching and they take us after a bye wherein we may have just lost our coach and folks are making January vacation plans on the team. Yeah, I love some of our additions this off season, but I just have no faith in the coach. That being said, I'd love for him to prove me wrong, wrong, wrong, but that ain't going to happen.
  22. He's definitely better with his right, the left throws tend to have just a bit of wobble in them. But this is a 14-year old kid. Seven more years of training and wow...
